He helps us to bear fruit.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

“And He told them this parable:

A certain man had a fig tree, planted in his vineyard, and he came

looking for fruit on it, but did not find [any].

So he said to the vinedresser, see here!

For these three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree

and I find none. Cut it down! Why should it continue also to use

up the ground [to deplete the soil, intercept the sun, and take up

room]?

But he replied to him, leave it alone, sir [just] this one more year,

till I dig around it and put manure [on the soil].

Then perhaps it will bear fruit after this; but if not,

you can cut it down and out.”

Luke 13:6-9

As I read this parable I thought about my life. Am I consistently bearing fruit?

I want to always bear fruit. I don’t want to be stagnant and unproductive.

What about you?

Are you consistently bearing fruit or is there nothing to show?

Are you stagnant?

We have another chance at this friends. Yeshua will not leave us as we are.

He is the Vinedresser after all!

He is working in our lives helping us to bear fruit.

If you desire to bear fruit in every season then let Him in and do His work.

His desire is that we bear fruit in every season!

Bless you!

Will you wait….???

Be strong and let your heart take courage,

all you who wait for and hope for and expect

the Lord!

Psalm 31:24

If you think waiting on God is a walk in the

park think again……

If you have really waited on God you will

know the truth. It’s a fight to wait.

Psalm 31 captures it perfectly.

Waiting is not for the faint of heart.

The word says take courage!

There have been things I have been waiting

on God for. I have been waiting for months

and years! It’s been such a test. But do I regret

the wait? Not on your life. The waiting was needed.

It played an important part in my growth as a son

of God and it still does…..!

You see, waiting reveals where you are really

at with God. It reveals your heart.

The Israelites saw that they were in trouble.

They felt trapped. They ran away to hide in

caves and cracks in the rock. They hid among

the rocks, in wells, and in other holes in the

ground.

Some Hebrews even went across the Jordan

river to the land of Gad and Gilead. Saul was

still at Gilgal. All the men in his army were

shaking in fear.

Samuel said he would meet Saul at Gilgal.

Saul waited there seven days. But Samuel

had not yet come to Gilgal, and the soilders

began to leave Saul. So Saul said, “Bring

me the burnt offerings and the fellowship

offerings.” Then Saul offered the burnt

offering.

As soon as Saul finished offering that sacrifice,

Samuel arrived. Saul went out to meet him.

Samuel asked, “What have you done?”

1 Samuel 13:6-11

There is such an important lesson in this story.

Waiting is its own kind of fire. The offering of the

burnt offering was reserved for the priest but

Saul even though was king did it.

God has a reason for making us wait and even

though we don’t understand we must wait. I

have been waiting for a long time for a lot

of things. It has been hard I must admit but I

see it’s what I must do.

God is in control even though it’s hard to see

at times.

If you are waiting for God, be strong. It takes a

strong person to wait on the Lord.

Let your heart take courage. The enemy wants us

to panic and take matters in our own hands.

Waiting is one of the greatest acts of trust we can

perform to God.

Impatience shows God our lack of trust in Him.

God’s promise to you may take weeks, months or

years but wait!! He can be trusted…….

He is working in the waiting! Some of His most

important work happens in the waiting so don’t

despise it.

Don’t lose heart….

You are on His heart….

He has not forgotten about you…..

He is true to His word…..

Amen

She was barren but……

And there was a famine in the land, other than the former famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Gerar, to Abimelech king of the Philistines.

And the Lord appeared to him and said, Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I will tell you.

Dwell temporarily in this land, and I will be with you and will favor you with blessings; for to you and to your descendants I will give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father.

And I will make your descendants to multiply as the stars of the heavens, and will give to your posterity all these lands (kingdoms); and by your Offspring shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, or by Him bless themselves,  Genesis 26:1-5  (Amplified)

As I write this post there are a few things I need to make clear.

It is clear from the scripture I just shared that Isaac had an amazing promise from God. The other thing I would like to make clear is Rebekah was the one God had for him. They were destined to be together. (Read the story of Abraham and the servant – Genesis 24)

But there is a problem. I saw it and was like what???

Isaac was forty years old when he married Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Aramean of Padan-aram, the sister of Laban the Aramean.

And Isaac prayed much to the Lord for his wife because she was unable to bear children; and the Lord granted his prayer, and Rebekah his wife became pregnant. Genesis 25:20, 21

God had a great destiny for Isaac. His posterity was to possess the land and through his posterity the nations would be blessed but God gave him a wife that was barren….!!!!!

That stunned me. Why would God do that? He could of easily chosen another woman for him, a woman who was fertile, right. But no, He chose Rebekah who was barren!

At first I was stunned but I realised something. The promises of God must be attained by faith! It is only by faith we can obtain what God promised us. It is only by faith that we will accomplish what God has called us to!

Yes, Isaac could have married someone who was fertile but where would faith come in? God wanted Isaac and Rebekah to put their trust in Him. And as they did God answered their prayers!

You may be in the most contrary of situations but trust God.

– You may be poor and God has said you will feed nations. Don’t look at your present situation, trust God!

– You may be uneducated but God said you are going to get that job. Trust Him!

– You may have nothing in your hands right now but God has said you are going to do great things. It’s not about what is in your hands. It’s about what God has said and if you will trust Him!  So trust Him and watch what He will do in your life…..

God wants us to trust Him! No matter what we are going through we can depend on Him! Faith is the key……

The key to breakthrough is……

We need prayer in our lives. Prayer is the key to the breakthrough we are
seeking in our lives. But how do we pray for the breakthrough?
Luke 11 has the answer.
“Here’s what I am saying:

Ask and you’ll get;

Seek and you’ll find;

Knock and the door will open.

Don’t bargain with God. Be direct.

This is not a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we’re in.
Luke 11:9
It is that simple, actually too simple! But this is the thing. I have
had things I have asked for and sought which I still don’t have.
There are some things I have been waiting for weeks, months and years.
Are there things you have been praying for that you are still waiting for from God?
Has He forgotten or simply just ignored those requests? No!
The answer is in the story He tells before hand…..
“Then He said, “Imagine what would happen if you went to a friend in the middle of
the night and said, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread. An old friend travelling through
just showed up, and I don’t have a thing on hand.
The friend answers from his bed, don’t bother me. The door’s locked; my
children are all down for the night; I can’t get up to give you anything.
But let me tell you, even if he won’t get up because he’s a friend, if you stand your
ground, knocking and waking all the neighbours, he’ll finally get up and get you whatever you need.
Luke 11:5-8
There is a principle in this story that I totally believe in and apply. A principle that keeps me asking and stops me from giving up. The principle is this, Friendship is not enough at
times when it comes to prayer,
But let me tell you, even if he won’t get up because he’s a friend….
We have a relationship with God but that doesn’t mean He will hear us all the time. Sometimes we will need to be persistent! The friend gave the bread because of the persistence of the other friend!
There is a saying I have, Persistence will get you what friendship can’t. I even wrote a post about it some time ago. I can’t get into it right now but all you need to know is,
to get breakthrough you need to persist. Friendship will help at times but at other times we need something more.
The point is this. Be specific when you come to God in prayer. Be very clear. Ask, seek
and you will find. Then persist. If something doesn’t come through keep knocking,
keep seeking, and you will find! God is not trying to hide things from you. He has so
much in store for you. God bless.

The call of wisdom.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY.

“Are you confused about life, don’t know what’s going on?

Come with me, oh come, have dinner with me!”

It’s through me, Lady Wisdom, that your life deepens,   Proverbs 9

What an amazing portion of scripture. Are you confused about your life??? Wisdom will help you.

Wisdom will bring clarity to your situation.

It’s through me that your life deepens” claims Wisdom. So deep, so profound!!

Come have dinner with me she says…….She wants you to understand what is happening in your life.

She wants you to have clarity about the confusion in your life.

She doesn’t want you living life confused and unsure. She want’s to give you understanding!

Cry out for wisdom. Don’t wait any longer.

Through wisdom, “the years of your life ripen“!

If that doesn’t get you excited I don’t what will!!!

Wisdom is amazing…….

Will you heed the call of Wisdom. She is waiting…..
