Australia.

In approximately 7 days I will be leaving for Australia. I will be gone

for two weeks. I hope I will be able to write when I am there.

I am going for a conference with my pastor. For more information

about the conference please click here. It would be so amazing

if I met you there!!!

But this post is about something deeper than going to Australia.

It will be my first time to visit and I am so excited. At the same

time I am blown away, I am amazed at how good God is.

I have no words honestly. God continues to bless me not because

I did something right but because of His unending, boundless,

grace. I stand here in awe knowing full well that I had nothing

to do with being blessed. I sin every day, I ignore God, I lash out

at God and the reward is blessing???

My testimony is, if God could do it for me then He can

certainly do it for you! I don’t deserve to be blessed the way

I have been blessed. I can’t make sense of any of this. It just

doesn’t make sense. A few months ago I was blessed with a car!

Can you imagine that? A friend wanted to see me after church so

I went and saw him. After speaking to him briefly he handed me

car keys! I was wrecked for weeks with no words

to say. I tried talking to God after that but no words came. I was

shell shocked for lack of a better word. And now, I am going to

Australia! I have no words……

God is surely the God of the impossible. If He can do it for me,

He can do it for you. I totally believe that. There is nothing special

about me. I am just someone God blessed. I know this is

just the beginning. I would be foolish to think this was it!

There is more, so much more and I am not talking about

material things.

What are you trusting God for?

Don’t stop praying, don’t stop believing. God will answer

your prayer.

He has amazing things in store for you, friend. You may think

You don’t deserve His blessing but that’s just it, none of us

deserve anything from God. We have sinned and the only thing

we deserve is death but He gives us life instead!

My prayer is that you will look at my life and be encouraged.

I am not showing off. I am hoping you will see the faithfulness

of God through my testimony.  He is the reason I am blessed.

I cannot give that credit to anyone else.

After everything that has happened I am encouraging you

to not shrink back, don’t give up on that thing you are

praying for. God hears your prayers.

Will you wait….???

Be strong and let your heart take courage,

all you who wait for and hope for and expect

the Lord!

Psalm 31:24

If you think waiting on God is a walk in the

park think again……

If you have really waited on God you will

know the truth. It’s a fight to wait.

Psalm 31 captures it perfectly.

Waiting is not for the faint of heart.

The word says take courage!

There have been things I have been waiting

on God for. I have been waiting for months

and years! It’s been such a test. But do I regret

the wait? Not on your life. The waiting was needed.

It played an important part in my growth as a son

of God and it still does…..!

You see, waiting reveals where you are really

at with God. It reveals your heart.

The Israelites saw that they were in trouble.

They felt trapped. They ran away to hide in

caves and cracks in the rock. They hid among

the rocks, in wells, and in other holes in the

ground.

Some Hebrews even went across the Jordan

river to the land of Gad and Gilead. Saul was

still at Gilgal. All the men in his army were

shaking in fear.

Samuel said he would meet Saul at Gilgal.

Saul waited there seven days. But Samuel

had not yet come to Gilgal, and the soilders

began to leave Saul. So Saul said, “Bring

me the burnt offerings and the fellowship

offerings.” Then Saul offered the burnt

offering.

As soon as Saul finished offering that sacrifice,

Samuel arrived. Saul went out to meet him.

Samuel asked, “What have you done?”

1 Samuel 13:6-11

There is such an important lesson in this story.

Waiting is its own kind of fire. The offering of the

burnt offering was reserved for the priest but

Saul even though was king did it.

God has a reason for making us wait and even

though we don’t understand we must wait. I

have been waiting for a long time for a lot

of things. It has been hard I must admit but I

see it’s what I must do.

God is in control even though it’s hard to see

at times.

If you are waiting for God, be strong. It takes a

strong person to wait on the Lord.

Let your heart take courage. The enemy wants us

to panic and take matters in our own hands.

Waiting is one of the greatest acts of trust we can

perform to God.

Impatience shows God our lack of trust in Him.

God’s promise to you may take weeks, months or

years but wait!! He can be trusted…….

He is working in the waiting! Some of His most

important work happens in the waiting so don’t

despise it.

Don’t lose heart….

You are on His heart….

He has not forgotten about you…..

He is true to His word…..

Amen

The key to breakthrough is……

We need prayer in our lives. Prayer is the key to the breakthrough we are
seeking in our lives. But how do we pray for the breakthrough?
Luke 11 has the answer.
“Here’s what I am saying:

Ask and you’ll get;

Seek and you’ll find;

Knock and the door will open.

Don’t bargain with God. Be direct.

This is not a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we’re in.
Luke 11:9
It is that simple, actually too simple! But this is the thing. I have
had things I have asked for and sought which I still don’t have.
There are some things I have been waiting for weeks, months and years.
Are there things you have been praying for that you are still waiting for from God?
Has He forgotten or simply just ignored those requests? No!
The answer is in the story He tells before hand…..
“Then He said, “Imagine what would happen if you went to a friend in the middle of
the night and said, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread. An old friend travelling through
just showed up, and I don’t have a thing on hand.
The friend answers from his bed, don’t bother me. The door’s locked; my
children are all down for the night; I can’t get up to give you anything.
But let me tell you, even if he won’t get up because he’s a friend, if you stand your
ground, knocking and waking all the neighbours, he’ll finally get up and get you whatever you need.
Luke 11:5-8
There is a principle in this story that I totally believe in and apply. A principle that keeps me asking and stops me from giving up. The principle is this, Friendship is not enough at
times when it comes to prayer,
But let me tell you, even if he won’t get up because he’s a friend….
We have a relationship with God but that doesn’t mean He will hear us all the time. Sometimes we will need to be persistent! The friend gave the bread because of the persistence of the other friend!
There is a saying I have, Persistence will get you what friendship can’t. I even wrote a post about it some time ago. I can’t get into it right now but all you need to know is,
to get breakthrough you need to persist. Friendship will help at times but at other times we need something more.
The point is this. Be specific when you come to God in prayer. Be very clear. Ask, seek
and you will find. Then persist. If something doesn’t come through keep knocking,
keep seeking, and you will find! God is not trying to hide things from you. He has so
much in store for you. God bless.

When I Don’t Know The Right Path To Take…..

How many of us are in “situations” but don’t know what to do or don’t know which path to take? That was me a for a couple of days. Its actually almost been a week. I would like to say I was strong and never panicked and everything was OK but it wasn’t.  I was worrying and fretting. A weight came over me and stayed! I was carrying a burden but didn’t know what to do with it. I knew I should trust God but I didn’t. I also knew that I should not worry and be anxious for nothing but I was. I knew it was crazy and something needed to give. There is a promise in Proverbs that I hold on to when I am confused or just unclear about stuff and I would like to share it with you. It has helped me in this turbulent time. I hope it helps you..

Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight and understanding.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.                       Proverbs 3:5,6   (Amplified)

This is a well known passage of scripture but people are only really familiar with verse 5. Verse 6 is what I would like to focus on. There is a promise from God. There are so many things that try to get us to panic and worry and fret but God is saying, if we in those times acknowledge Him and recognize He is in control and if we know He is for us and He has our back, He will direct, make straight, and plain your path. The path you were not sure about will be made clear, things that seemed confusing will become plain and those crooked paths will be made straight! If you want direction in a situation that you confused about and you don’t know which path to take then you need to acknowledge, know and recognize Him!

My situation is much better. It hasn’t all been solved but God is solving it. I am learning to trust Him more and more. As I keep on holding on to the scripture I shared God is bringing more and more wisdom. The path is getting clearer and clearer, straighter and straighter and I think that’s the way it’s supposed to be. If you are in the same boat then realize that God doesn’t want you to be confused. He wants you to be clear about your life and about where you going. He wants you to bring those situations to Him and leave them with Him and He wants you to trust Him. He is in control. I like the way “The Message” says it:

Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; He’s the One who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God!   Proverbs 3:5
