Watch what goes in……

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

contaminate:

to soil, stain, corrupt, or infect by contact or association

Today I will be talking about the contamination that happens in our hearts. We really do need to be careful

what we hear, who we hang out with, what we watch, what music we listen to….

Because it’s through those things we can contaminate ourselves.

Let me share a story with you of something that happened this week;

I was with some people who were speaking really negatively about a situation concerning the country.

The more the conversation went on the more uneasy I became. I could literally feel the fear creep in to me

as they spoke. I wanted to get out of there but I didn’t. I stayed. (wrong choice)

There is so much in this world that can contaminate and pollute our hearts so we must be on our guard

at all costs (Proverbs 4:23).

What are you listening to on a daily basis?

Who are you hanging out with?

What are you watching?

It’s hard to hear Yeshua’s voice when your heart is corrupted. It’s especially difficult to move in faith

when fear has entered your heart.

It’s hard to pray for healing when all you have filled yourself with, is words of death.

Stay away from toxic conversations. Reduce the amount of news you watch or read if that’s what gets

you out of peace?

Stay away from things that make you fearful and terrified, anxious and worry.

Those are the things that contaminate and pollute.

Guard your self at all costs!

Bless you

Don’t Waste Your Life.

I would like to read a passage of scripture that got me thinking and it actually scared me. This is Jesus speaking to his disciples:

At that time two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one will be left.
Two women will be grinding at the hand mill; one will be taken and one will be left.
Watch therefore [give strict attention, be cautious and active], for you do not know in what kind of a day [whether a near or remote one] your Lord is coming.
But understand this: had the householder known in what [part of the night, whether in a night or a morning] watch the thief was coming, he would of watched and would not have allowed his house to be undermined and broken into.
You also must be ready therefore, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not expect Him.
Matthew 24:40-44

Like I said, this passage got me thinking. The first two verses are speaking about the rapture. Which of those two men am I? I would like to be the one who is taken and not the one who is left. What about you? Which man or women are you? We are indeed living in the end times and we need to make our life count. We cannot afford to have a half-hearted relationship with God. There is just too much at stake!
No one knows when the day of the Lord is coming. Our job is to do the work of our Father wholeheartedly. Will you be found waiting for Him? Will you be sober or will you be drunk and be like the wicked slave who was not patient?

Jesus carries on and says:
Who then is the faithful, thoughtful, and wise servant, whom his master has put in charge of his household to give to the others the food and supplies at the proper time?
Matthew 24:45

Like the wise servant God has given us things in the form of gifts and talents. We will be accountable for how we use them. If the day of the Lord had to come tomorrow can you confidently say you have used all that God has given you? Or are there things still pending that you have not finished either because of laziness or procrastination? This needs to change. I don’t want Christ to come and find that I am sitting on some of the gifts and talents He gave me. As I write this a few things have come to mind. There are things that I need to do that I have put off for too long. What about you?
Let us be warned and get started on ALL that God created us to be!
