Let’s talk about airports and purpose…..

As I sat at the airport in Sydney I couldn’t help but notice

how busy the airport was. Our Zimbabwean airport cannot

even begin to compare to the Sydney airport. In fact, I don’t

even have to go that far. I can simply look at O.R Tambo

International Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa. Compared

to us that airport is enormous. So sitting there at the airport,

thoughts of destiny and purpose came to mind!

God wasn’t speaking to me about airports only,

He was speaking to me about my life, about His vision

for my life……

Having a big airport doesn’t just happen!

Before anything can ever happen there has to be a vision for it.

The CEO of the airport in my country MUST get a vision

for a bigger airport! Nothing will ever change if that vision

isn’t there!

And that is how it is in our own personal lives. You must get

a vision for your life but not just any vision, God’s vision!

God has a purpose for you. That’s why you were born. Ask

Him to show you your purpose. I believe He will show you

if you genuinely want to know. Without a vision the word says

we perish! Without a vision there is no growth, just stagnation!

After the vision is there, he will need to think about construction.

He can have a vision of having the biggest airport in Africa and

even the world, but if he doesn’t start constructing new runways,

breaking down hangars to buid bigger ones and so on, that vision

is not going to happen. He must realise the current capacity

will not be suitable to accommodate the new vision! There

must be a change if the airport is to become bigger. He has

to start thinking global instead of local. He must abandon the

old systems and learn new ones if he is to be recognized globally

and be a force to reckon with!

That stands true for you and me. I was seriously convicted

by this point. My current capacity is not capable of

accomodating all that God has for me. I must realise this.

We must realise this!!!

I need to understand there must be a tearing down of the

old (old habits, old ways of thinking, old ways of talking) and so

on if I am to grow! I will not become the international airport

God has called me to be if I am comfortable with the old

airport!!! If I don’t see anything wrong with the old then I

am in deep trouble. Change begins when I see a problem

with the old! I hope I haven’t lost you………haha

The next thing the CEO will need to look at is education.

He has to make sure his staff are on the same page as he is.

They have to be trained but not just by anyone. He has to hire

the best in the world if they are going to have a chance! He has

to eradicate all small thinking at all costs.

He will have to think about sending his staff to some of the

major airports so they can get the vision! If he is to move

in the new vision he must make sure his staff are on the same

page. He has to encourage them. If someone doesn’t want to

get it then he has to cut off that person.

Do you have people who encourage you in what God has

called you to do? It’s important you hang out with the right

people.

Do you have a mentor?

If you are around negitive minded people all the time,

beware! They can pull you down, snuff the purpose right

out of you. They can discourage you from pursuing

God’s purpose for your life. Surround yourself with

like minded people, people who believe in you and

people who are not afraid to tell you the truth when

you go down the wrong path!

Disclaimer

This is a very broad description of what an airport

might do if they wanted to change. Don’t quote me on

any of the technical steps! I was looking at the airport from a total

outsiders point of view, as someone who has no idea of how or

what makes an airport tick!

I thought I should make that clear in case one of you works

at an airport and thinks, what the heck is he talking about???

🙂

As I end be encouraged. God is busy working on your

behalf. His purpose for your life will be accomplished if you

decide to trust Him. Expect Him to do big things in your

life friend because I believe He can and will!

Amen

Thinking About The Next Generation…

I was in South Africa for the whole week last week. I had gone for another music tour. I really enjoyed being there. As I was on tour I had time to think and meditate on the important things. I got time to get deeper into God which was great and there were a few lessons I learned while on tour which I would like to share with you. I will only share one with you in this post.
I love King Hezekiah. He is one of my favourite characters in the Bible that is until I read 2 Kings 20. King Hezekiah was sick unto death but he begged God to heal him which He did. Hezekiah had visitors from Babylon who came to see him because they heard he was sick. ( 2 Kings 20:12)
He showed them everything in his kingdom which got him into trouble. This is what God said to him:

Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah. Hear the word of the Lord!
Behold, the time is coming when all that is in your house, and that which your forefathers have stored up till this day, shall be carried to Babylon; nothing shall be left, says the Lord.
And some of your sons who shall be born to you shall be taken away, and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of Babylon’s king.
Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, The word of the Lord you have spoken is good. For he thought, Is it not good, if [all this evil is meant for the future and] peace and security shall be in my days?    2 Kings 20:16-19

We all have weaknesses and I am not expecting Hezekiah to be perfect. But think about this, Isaiah is giving him a horrific prophesy about his nation and his children and all he has to say is, “the word of the Lord you have spoken is good“!!!!
We are meant to learn from the men and women in the bible and there is an important lesson here. Please understand, everything you do now has a bearing on your future. What you do now will determine what your future will be like.
The things you do now will also determine your kids future!!
If you are 15 years old, know that your actions have a bearing on your kids in the future! Yes your actions determine what you will become but they also determine who your kids will become. We need to be think about the next generation. We need to have that mindset. Hezekiah’s children where destined for evil because of his actions but he didn’t care. How different would it have been if he fell on his knees and repented for what he did. Would he have saved his children’s lives and the lives of his people? I don’t know for sure but it is something to think about.
We need to fight for our kids in this time. We do that by the things we say and the things we give our time to and how we think. They need to be able to stand on our shoulders. We have got to stop thinking about ourselves. We have become so selfish as people thinking about how we are going to make it and what we are going to eat and so on and have totally forgot about the people around us. I don’t want to carry on being selfish. My family’s lives depend on it. I want my kids to come and do great things for God because I laid a good foundation in the relationships I have made and the things I have done. I don’t want them to start from square one because I was too busy thinking about myself and I don’t want to play a role in the destruction of their future!!!

As I end I would like to remind you that what you do now has a bearing on your family’s future. What you do now does matter. Let us have the next generation in mind. Ask yourself, what am I doing that will benefit the next generation?
Am I building a good foundation for the next generation to stand on?
Am I destroying the future of the next generation by my attitudes and the things that I do?

The next generation is depending on us.

Miracle in South Africa….

I have been on tour in South Africa. It has been an amazing experience especially since this is my first time in South Africa. My pastor’s wife released an album called “Yahweh” and that is why we were on tour. Here is the title track. I hope you enjoy it…….

South has been amazing but that was not the case when I first heard I was going. I was filled with fear because of all the stories I heard. We were in Johannesburg which is ranked number 10 of the most dangerous cities in the world! I was really filled with fear about going but God dealt with me in that area. When I got there we were not robbed or held at gun point or anything crazy. It was actually safe! Please understand, I am not saying that it’s the safest place in the world but what I am saying is that you need to have your eyes wide open and I am also saying God will protect no matter where you go if you trust in Him!

The next thing that was on my mind was what God had for me in South Africa. I believe that when I travel there is something God wants to speak to me about and something He wants me to see that I can’t see at home! So I went with that mindset and God indeed showed me things that I never saw when I was at home and He spoke to me about things that I was struggling with at home. So in other words I heard Him so much clearly!
Now for the main thing. I was in  South Africa for four days. I arrived in South on Friday and left on Monday. Our performance was scheduled for Sunday but on Saturday during practice I sprained my foot! It started swelling badly in the evening and I was limping. I was worried about it but then I remembered what I learned at Bible School. It was not an accident that the Pastor taught this but he spoke about your spirit being able to sustain your physical body. He taught that our spirit can be so strong that it can sustain our physical bodies!

Proverbs 18:14 says,
The strong spirit of a man sustains him in bodily pain or trouble, but a weak and broken spirit who can raise up and bear?

So when I realised my ankle was sprained that verse jumped out of my spirit and I started declaring my healing! There was no way I would have a sprained ankle when I travelled so far to minister. On top of that I asked for prayer and the pastor in charge of the team prayed for my ankle.                                                                 The next day we ministered I danced like I was supposed and gave it 110% and I waved those flags like I was a mad man!!! My ankle was completely healed, praise the Lord!!! God is good indeed. That was my miracle on tour. There are a few things I learned from that.

– The spirit man can be so strong that it can sustain the physical man.

– There is power in the laying on of hands and

– God is still the God of miracles…..!

And that ends my testimony.
