The Beautiful Story of Our Lives

As I look at myself and all the imperfections I have, all the mistakes and sins I continually

make I am humbled by the Lord’s grace and mercy He has extended to me.

That’s not just my story but it’s OUR story.

God in his mercy and grace doesn’t leave us in our mess.

He cleans us up and changes us.

He forgives us and gives us a second chance.

And that is what I call the beautiful story of our lives because His love is beautiful.

I think of the woman in Luke 7:37 who the bible tells us was a sinner. We don’t

know exactly what she did but it is clear she was not popular in her community.

“When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “if this man

were a prophet, he would have known who is touching him and what kind of woman

she is – that she is a sinner.”

Luke 7:39

But even though the Pharisee had written her off as a lost cause, Jesus saw her differently.

He loved her and forgave her despite knowing all her sins. He didn’t reject her and cast her away.

So don’t listen to the lies that say you cannot be forgiven.

Don’t allow people to tell you that you are a lost cause. That’s not true.

Jesus loves you and extends grace, mercy and forgiveness to you no matter how badly

you have messed up.

You can go to Him for help anytime.

God bless you friends.

Silence In The Enemy’s Camp

“By this I know that you delight in me;

my enemy will not shout in triumph over me

Psalm 41:11

David had a lot of enemies in his life.

Strong enemies that wanted him out of the picture.

People that wanted him to fail, get sick, die you name it.

Even close friends became his enemy (Psalm 41:9)

But in Psalm 41:11 he made an amazing statement. He knew God favored him

and delighted in him because He never allowed his enemies to shout in triumph

over him!

In other words, because God delighted in him, He never allowed his enemies

to have victory over him.

I love that.

Because it’s the same for you. God delights in you and will not let the enemy shout

in triumph over you. They will not have victory in your life no matter how hard they try.

Even in the case of Bathsheba, it did seem like the enemy had victory over David. It seemed

like God’s purpose for his life came to an end because of what he had done but God in His

grace gave David another chance. He gave him the opportunity to repent and when he

did he received redemption and a second chance. There were no shouts of triumph in

the enemy’s camp in that regard.

As I close I want to encourage you with that.

The enemy WILL NOT have victory over you because the Lord favors you and delights in you.

When you fall He will pick you up.

The Lord will fight for you against the enemies that come against you and win.

Bless you friends!

He stands with you!

God smashes the pretensions of the arrogant;

He stands with those who have no standing.  Proverbs 15: 25

I have sinned and I have no grounds to expect a blessing. I have no grounds to get help! What grounds do I have to expect grace??? Or what grounds do I have to expect forgiveness??? There is nothing as Rolain, that I can stand on, completely nothing…..!!!!!

I am guilty. I deserve to die, abandoned and disregarded. I deserve to be judged harshly. Is this not the case for all mankind???
But the word of God says, He stands with those who have no standing.” When you have no grounds to stand before God, He stands with you! Such a powerful revelation. It’s all because of His grace, entirely dependant on His grace, there is not a single thing you can add! He stands on your behalf not because you got what it takes but because of His grace……..Selah! How I needed to hear that today!

He stands with me when He clearly knows I am faulty!! He knows I have nothing to show, no strength to boast about, no wisdom to brag about. He knows I have nothing and yet He stands with me.

He stands with you!

“Scrub away my guilt,
Soak away my sins in Your laundry.
I know how bad I’ve been;
my sins are staring me down.
You’re the One I’ve violated,
and You’ve seen it all, seen the full extent of my evil.
You have all the facts before You;
whatever You decide about me is fair.
Psalm 51: 2-6

Today, know that He stands with you and also know He is the only One who has seen the full extent of our evil and yet He extends grace to us……He doesn’t shrink back when He sees our sin. He stands by us never to forsake us. HE STANDS BY US…..
Thank You Lord! Such amazing grace……..
