Refuse to give up!

It’s easy in difficult times to throw in the towel. The enemy wants you to give up but no matter how hard things get you must not give up because the Lord has amazing things in store for you and by not giving up you receive what God has for you.

Paul want through a lot in his life but through all that he faced he never gave up. For a run down of all the things he went though read,

2 Corinthians 11:23-26 but I want to focus on a specific story.

Paul was in Lystra ministering and had healed a lame man from birth. But some Jews came from Antioch convinced the people to stone him. When they thought he died they dragged the body outside the city but Paul had not died. And this is what I want to focus on.

Paul nearly lost his life but instead of quitting and giving up, he got up and carried on with his mission. He  went to another town and this is what happened;

“They preached the gospel in that city and won a large number of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch, strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith.”

Acts 14: 21, 22

There was no stopping Paul. At the end of his life he had this to say about his life,

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

2 Timothy 4:7

What a testimony.

We can’t give up. In fact, we must refuse to give up. So through the hard times keep going. Trust God every step of the way and ask for His help because He helped Paul on his journey. There is a race to run and finish.

Bless you friends

He wants us to win…..

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

I had this thought today that I needed to share with you.

It brings YAH joy when we win, when we are victorious. He wants to see us win.

He is not happy when we in pain, losing, failing, in despair.

He wants us to be victorious, to prosper, to succeed.

Paul as he neared the end of his life made a bold proclamation,

“I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith.

Now, a crown is waiting for me. I will get that crown for being right with God.

The Lord is the judge rightly, and He will give me the crown on that Day.”

2 Timothy 4:7

The Lord gave Paul the victory. He helped Paul to win and that is why he spoke so boldly.

The Lord wanted Paul to win and the enemy wanted him to fail, but never succeeded in derailing

him. Paul would fall yes, but the Lord lifted him up. He never stayed down. The Lord was

with him in those times that felt like he had lost.

We are not alone friends. The Lord’s desire is for us to win, to be victorious.

Don’t be discouraged. The Lord is on your side helping you.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Blessings to you friends….

What You Need To Win In The Race of Life.

We live in a very competitive world and there is a certain criteria to follow if you are to win in this world. But in the Kingdom of God we don’t follow that criteria. The world has a way of doing things and God has a way of doing things. The wisest man of all time made a very interesting observation which I think needs mention.

I returned and saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong, neither is bread to the wise nor riches to men of intelligence and understanding nor favor to men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all.
Ecclesiastes 9:11

This observation by King Solomon is simply amazing. A race as we have seen over and over again is won by the fastest person but in this verse the race is not won by the fastest person, Hmm?!
In a battle the obvious winner would be the strongest person but again this is not the case in this verse. The strongest person doesn’t win.
Are you getting the jist of all this? The obvious things are not the things that will make us successful. You cannot depend on strength, speed, wit and so on, even though they have their place. King Solomon boils it down to time and chance! People who knew the times and seasons were the ones who won!

I hope you see that you have a chance. You may be thin or overweight, called slow, and so on and so on but I want you to know you have a chance! Time and chance is going to happen to you. The question is, will you be able to recognise it when it comes? Will you be ready for it when it comes?
