Don’t carry that!

“Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you;

He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall or fail).

Psalm 55:22

You can put it down now. You don’t have to carry that weight any longer. The Lord wants to carry

the burdens YOU are carrying. We go through life with the weight of the world on our shoulders

but that’s not the way it’s supposed to be. When we are under immense pressure we need to cast

it on to the Lord’s shoulders.

Remember, there is nothing too heavy for Him. There is no weight on earth or heaven that can

crush Him.  Sometimes we carry our burdens because we think He will let us down and will abandon

us when we need Him the most but God is not man. He is always faithful and will never ever

let us down.

You will not slip, fall or fail.

This doesn’t mean there will be no bad days, days you feel like giving up, or days you feel hopeless.

It means through it all you will not be moved.

When you fall you will get up.

When your back is against the wall the Lord will come in and save you.

When you are in chains, the Lord will rescue you, free you.

You will not be moved because the Lord is with you.

Cast it all to Him. Don’t leave one single thing. Learn to walk light.

“Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns,

once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.”

1 Peter 5:7

Give it all to Him. Your worries, your concerns, your fears, your anxieties, and your troubles.

He will help you with all the trouble you face. He knows what you going through and will not leave

you helpless.

Turn to Him today!

Bless you, friends

A time of endurance…

“So Moses and Aaron gathered all the elders of the Israelites.

Aaron told them everything that the Lord had told Moses.

Then Moses did the miracles for all the people to see. So the

Israelites believed. They heard that the Lord was concerned about them

and had seen their troubles. Then they bowed down and worshipped

Him.”

Exodus 4:29-31

The Israelites were in bondage for a really long time. Things had been really

difficult for them. So when Moses and Aaron told

them that God was concerned about them and had seen their troubles they must have

been encouraged.

But the hope they had quickly disappeared when the pressure intensified. The joy, the hope,

the faith they had was replaced with doubt, fear, and anxiety. They were not patient with the

Lord. They wanted the deliverance to happen that very instant.

“As they were leaving the meeting with the king, they met Moses and Aaron.

Moses and Aaron were waiting for them. So they said to Moses and Aaron, “May the

Lord punish you. You caused the king and his offices to hate us. You have given them

an excuse to kill us.”

Exodus 5:20, 21

That story spoke to me today. We need to endure as we wait for God’s promise

to materialize in our lives. His promise for our lives, our families, and our countries will be

contested against by the enemy. There is no way he is going to just sit and let you

stroll into what God has promised you. he is the adversary and by the very nature of

that name he opposes and fights against everything good that God has prepared for us.

The Israelites thought it would be a walk in the park but it wasn’t. They had to trust God with

all that they had. They had to believe His word was true. They had to endure.

God’s promise was true and He would deliver them and they needed to understand that no matter

how bad things got.

“He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold as a servant. His feet they hurt with fetters;

he was laid in chains of iron and his soul entered into iron.

Until his word [to his cruel brothers] came true until the word of the Lord tried and tested him.”

Psalm 105:17-19

When the promise seems like a fantasy we must keep trusting, we need to endure. His promise

is true, it will come to pass. The Lord is not a man that lies. His word is sure and if He promised

it will come to pass.  Difficulty doesn’t mean the promise won’t come to pass.

There is nothing that can stop the word of God from coming to pass.

Hold on in the storm. Endure, put your faith in Him.

He will fulfill what He promised you.

Bless you, friends…

Siding with doubt…..

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

Let’s make something very clear, there is no justification to side with doubt. There is no situation in life that

makes it okay to walk in doubt . No matter how bad things are, or impossible they seem, we should always

side with faith.

I did that recently. I was in a situation where the odds seemed bleak and guess what I did? You guessed right,

I began to doubt if YAH would come through. I am not talking about doubting and then coming back to my

senses and trusting YAH. No, I am talking about a resignation, a buckling to the pressure and deciding the

situation was lost, making a decision that nothing could be done!

We need to always have faith no matter how dim things appear. There is a a story in the bible that perfectly

illustrates what I am talking about;

“Jesus was still speaking to her when some men came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue ruler.

The men said, “Your daughter is dead. There is now no need to bother the teacher.”

But Jesus paid no attention to what the men said. He said to the synagogue ruler,

“Don’t be afraid; only believe.”

Mark 5:35, 36

Yeshua did not allow the man to entertain doubt. As soon as the men spoke to the ruler, Yeshua urged

him to believe, to not falter, to not doubt.

One could argue that there would be nothing wrong if the man simply accepted the news and went his

way. His daughter had died after all. But Yeshua wouldn’t have any of that. He challenged the man’s faith.

He challenged him to take his faith a step further.

Like I said in the beginning, there is no situation that warrants us to walk in doubt and unbelief.

We need to always side with faith no matter how dark a situation seems. Even when everyone is telling

you there is no way, side with faith, stand on it, declare it.

Doubt is not from YAH. Doubt makes it hard for Him to work in our lives.

Doubt makes it hard for us to see His power and miracles. It makes no room for Him to move.

When Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were commanded to bow down to the kings statue this is how

they responded;

“You can throw us into the blazing furnace. The God we serve is able to save us from the furnace and your

power. If He does this, it is good.

But even if God does not save us, we want you, our king, to know this:

We will not serve your gods. We will not worship the gold statue you have set up.”

Daniel 3:7

There was no compromising even in the face of a blazing furnace. They would trust YAH even if it meant

death! And that’s the kind of attitude we should have when it comes to faith.

Doubt must have no room in our lives. We should always choose faith.

Even when the whole world is doubting, choose faith. Don’t ever side with doubt.

“The just shall live by faith” is what the word teaches us so let’s do exactly that, walk by faith.

Bless you friends!

Everyone has a bad day but…..

Everyone has a bad day and that’s a fact we need to live with. It’s a part of life.

The past couple of days has been pretty rough. There were things I was dealing

with which were not fun. The challenges I was facing got me discouraged about

my life. What made it worse was the fact I couldn’t do anything about it in my own strength.

I needed the Lord to help me or I really was in “trouble”!

After speaking to my friend who encouraged me I sought the Lord for peace

and help. As I waited on Him I believe He spoke to me…… watching Masterchef Australia (my

favorite cook show.)

One of my favorite contestants was in a pressure test which wasn’t good. That meant they were

in the bottom three and had to fight to stay in the competition. There is no contestant that

wants to be in a pressure test. It’s difficult and the chance to be kicked out is very high.

The contestants who are in the pressure test wear a black apron which doesn’t help the situation

I think! (But that’s just me, they could think it’s cool!)

Anyway before they started their test one of the judges said something that blew me away.

I don’t remember his exact words but he said something to the effect of,

“Every past champion has been where you guys are. Every champion has worn the black apron.

Every champion at one time or other has been in a pressure test.”

That was profound and what I needed to hear. Every winner had a bad day in the competition.

Every winner faced elimination at one time or more in the competition.

It wasn’t all smooth sailing for them!

That revelation really encouraged me.

There will be “black apron” moments in my life but that doesn’t mean I am done for. I don’t need to panic

and worry in those times because YAH is with me and He will bring me through the difficult times.

We all have bad day’s friends but don’t let it lead you into thinking “this is

the way things will always be”  because that’s not true. Things will get better.

There are so many real life examples but for this post I will use Peter. He denied the Lord. Things must

have been really bad for him. John 21 it tells us that Peter went fishing with a few of the other disciples.

Things were so bad for him that he went back to his old profession. I can only imagine how he felt after he

denied our Lord.

To make it worse that day, they caught nothing! (John 21:3)

Things were bad but to cut a long story short Yeshua showed up and gave Peter and the other disciples

new hope. He reaffirmed Peter’s purpose,

“The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”

Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me? He said, “Lord, you

know all things; you know that I love you.”

Jesus said, “Feed my sheep. “

John 21:17

Peter had a really bad day but Yeshua forgave him and reinforced his calling.

Know this;  “your bad day doesn’t jeopardize YAH’s call on your life”

A bad day is exactly that, a bad day.

The danger we make is thinking there is more to the bad day. That’s what I was doing

before my friend spoke to me. That was a lie.

The Lord will bring you out of whatever you are facing.

He wants you to accomplish the things He created you for and yes, there will be confusing times and days

you fall but that doesn’t change anything. The Lord will help you accomplish everything He called

you to. (I am speaking to me as well)

Bad days are a part of life but remember to always turn to the Lord in those days.

He will help you through the worst of times and bring you to a place of peace, joy, and blessings.

Blessings to you friends.

Patience in the fire……

“And I will bring you into the land concerning which I lifted up My
hand and swore that I would give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob;
and I will give it to you for a heritage. I am the Lord [you have
the pledge of My changeless omnipotence and faithfulness].

Moses told this to the Israelites, but they refused to listen to Moses
because of their impatience and anguish of spirit and because of their
cruel bondage.”
Exodus 6:8, 9

This verse spoke to me this week. In the midst of crazy battles this scripture spoke to me.
The Israelites had a word from YAH but they refused to listen to Him
because of their impatience, anguish of spirit and cruel bondage.

The fact they were impatient spoke to me because in the midst of storms
and trials we need to be patient. It’s not an easy thing to be patient when you are in a fire.
In the trials I am facing in this season I am have been challenged to be patient.
Patience is important because it reflects our faith in YAH’s ability to bring us through the storm.

No matter what you going through be patient. He will carry you through the storm soon enough.                                                     He will deliver you most definitely.
Let’s look at one more scripture that brought everything into perspective for me concerning being patient,

“Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exalt and triumph in our troubles and
rejoice in our sufferings knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce
patient and unswerving endurance.
And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity).
And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation.”
Romans 5:3-5

Amazing right, or crazy depending on how you see it! Exalt and triumph in your troubles!
Rejoice in your sufferings!
It’s really hard to do if I am to be honest. The pressure can get so much that rejoicing
is the last thing I want to do but one thing is clear from reading this scripture,
YAH has a plan in the storm. The enemy has a plan too, to destroy but not YAH.
He is thinking about growth, blessing, new levels, maturity, endurance and so much more….

We need to change how we look at trials and challenges. We don’t need to be afraid. YAH will bring us

through. He is at work for our good.

Bless you

He found them…….

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, and to yearn for Him with all their heart’s desire and with all their soul; (‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭15‬:‭12‬ AMP)

I think you will agree with me that we are living in crazy times.

As the world has got crazier the church is been tested like crazy

and some of them are buckling under the pressure. What we

believe is being tested like crazy and if we are not rooted in

the right thing we will surely be blown away!

The scripture I shared has been on my heart for some time

now. It was during the time of King Asa that the people made

a covenant to seek the Lord with everything in them.

This is a call to you, to me, to everyone else! As the world

has lost it’s mind we need to make a decision.

This is a simple call:

To make a covenant to seek the Lord and to yearn for Him

with all of our heart’s desire and with all of our soul!

We are living in a time that is demanding us to choose a side.

For those who choose to wait on the sidelines know this:

Not choosing a side is actually choosing. You will be swept

away with everything else……

And all Judah rejoiced at the oath, for they had sworn with all their heart and sought Him [yearning for Him] with their whole desire, and He was found by them. And the Lord gave them rest and peace round about. (‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭15‬:‭15‬ AMP)

As they sought the Lord, they found Him!!

Our seeking will not be in vain. As we seek Him with our everything

we will find Him!!!

He will reveal Himself to us.

In the craziness happening around us we need God more than ever!

Without Him we are powerless and defeated…..

Will  you seek Him with your everything?

Don’t stay there!!

I have been feeling overwhelmed lately.
I have been looking at various situations in my life and have
felt dejected.
It all feels hopeless.
I thought I was strong enough for the battle but
I was wrong.
I thought I could handle the pressure but
I was wrong.
The waiting is difficult
I look at the situations and realize there is nothing I can
do….there is nothing Rolain can do!

How many of you have been at that place?
How many of you have been at a place of
hopelessness, where hope has seemed to vanish?
A place where the problems seem too much, too big
for you to take on?

In all of my thinking a thought came to me.

I could either stay in that place, or I could look to
God, the One who is in control of my life.

I could stay in a place of hopelessness or
I could trust Him to turn things around.

I could stay in a place where I think nothing is
happening or I could chose to speak about the things
God is doing in my life even when I don’t see them?!

I could stay in this place and talk about how bad it is
Or I could praise God because He has a plan for me and is
Bringing it to pass….!

Remember this: If you are in that place, you have a choice. You can either stay in that place of hopelessness where you think God doesn’t seem to be doing anything or you can see all the amazing things He has in store for you!

It’s okay to have days where you feel overwhelmed, and so on but don’t stay there! Move to a place of faith! Move to a place where you can see God move because the truth of the matter is, He is always moving!

God has great things in store for you!
He has made your life beautiful.
He is leading you in ALL of your steps!

Let Your Words Follow Faith!

It has been said that pressure in life helps us to become stronger. Our faith gets refined when we are in trials. I would agree with that. But at the same time it is hard when you going through the pressure. It is very well and good to say we need pressure to become stronger but it’s something entirely different when you going THROUGH the pressure! It is in that time and in that time alone that you see what you really believe. Some people will break under pressure. I remember breaking so many times under intense pressure. I would want to trust God but somewhere down the line I would abandon Him and take matters into my own hands. This is not pleasing to God. Trusting Him is.

We have a responsibility to trust God no matter how bad things seem to be. God wants us to trust Him. He knows no one else can help us.
I love what Psalm 116:10 says:
I believed (trusted in, relied on, and clung to my God), and therefore have I spoken [even when I said], I am greatly afflicted.

There are some very deep insights in this scripture. The first one I got is:
– What you say or confess can tell where your faith is at. A lot of us say we trust God but we are speaking wrong. We are speaking negatively. We are speaking about everything that could go wrong. We are talking about all the bad things.
The fact is simple, if you trust God that is what will come out of your mouth. You will speak of how your prayers being answered. You will praise the Lord and worship Him.
– The writer spoke about his pressure but ended by trusting in God and speaking what he believed. Like I said in one of my other posts, it’s ok to speak about what you facing. We do need to be realistic but we can’t end there. We need to end in trust.

So where are you? Do you have faith? Do your words confirm your faith?
