A simple message…..

“Then to the centurion Jesus said, Go; it shall be done

for you as you have believed. And the servant boy was

restored to health at that very moment.”

Matthew 8:13 (AMP)

“Jesus turned around and, seeing her, He said, Take

courage, daughter! Your faith has made you well. And at

once the woman was restored to health.”

Matthew 9:22 (AMP)

“Then he touched their eyes, saying, According to your

faith and trust and reliance [on the power invested in

Me] be it done to you.”

Matthew 9:29 (AMP)

Your faith in God counts! The people I mentioned in the

scriptures above all received their breakthrough because

of their faith in God! Let me say that again:

All the people I mentioned in the scriptures above got

their breakthrough because of their faith in God!

I was challenged when I got this revelation.

The blind men, the woman with the issue of blood, the

centurion who had a sick servant, and many many more

got the attention of Jesus because of their faith.

Are there things I am trusting God for?? Yes, yes, yes!!!

As 2016 comes I am challenged to be more resolved in my

faith!

Have faith in God!

Have faith in God because He is faithful. We are here at the

end of the year because He brought us through!

Man didn’t bring us through. God did!

Let us look at the woman with the issue of blood. Her

situation was bad. She had used up all her money on

physicians but her health didn’t get better. Instead it

got worse. She suffered for twelve years! I don’t know

about you friends but twelve years is a long time. There was

no relief for her in man. He didn’t have an answer to her

problem. (He very seldom does)

But anyway one thing led to another and she got healed

by Jesus! She had faith that He would heal her. When she

touched the Master’s cloak her faith was absolute (I WILL

be healed).  It was her faith in Him that healed her from

twelve years of pain!

It was her faith in the Savior that rescued her from the

hold of the enemy!

“Then He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you.

Go in peace.” Luke 8:48

The woman got to a point in her faith where she believed

Jesus could heal her. Are you at that point?

Are you at a point in your faith where you believe Jesus

is the answer, the only answer??

The message today is simple: Have faith in God!

There is so much God has in store for us but we must

trust Him!

The passion that offended many…..

Don’t let another person’s lack of passion determine your passion!

As He came near to Jericho, it occurred that a blind man

was sitting by the roadside begging.

And hearing a crowd going by, he asked what it meant.

They told him, Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.

Luke 18:35-43

I was challenged by the blind man in this passage of scripture.

He was blind and needed, desperately needed a touch from God!

What challenged me was his passion. It was raw, uncensored,

untamed, bold!!

As a Christian in today’s world can we follow Christ with a tame,

steril passion, if you can call it that?

The blind man’s passion made people around him uncomfortable.

Look at what the word says,

And he shouted, saying Jesus, Son of David, take pity and have

mercy on me!

But those who were in front reproved him, telling him to keep

quiet; yet he screamed and shrieked so much the more, Son of

David, take pity and have mercy on me!

Luke 18:38, 39

He screamed and shrieked so much the more!!

Jesus was passing by and there was nothing and nobody who

would stop him from getting a touch from Him.

We need that kind of raw, untamed, uncensored passion

if we are going to make our life count for Christ.

Jesus is passionately in love with us so how can we give Him

any less?

Let us not allow other people to dictate how passionate we should

be.

Let us be passionate about our Lord.

He is the one after all who gave His life for us!

I want my passion to get His attention don’t you?

I want to live out my passion for Him and not just talk

about it!!

He is my everything and deserves nothing but the best!

Let us follow the example of the blind man!

Bless you friends!!

How destiny works.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

“You drove out the nations with Your hand and it was Your power that gave [Israel] a home by rooting out the [heathen] peoples, but [Israel] You spread out.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭44:2‬ ‭AMP‬‬

As I read my bible this morning this scripture stood out. I

believe God has a destiny for each and everyone of us and

His desire is to see us walk in it.

God had a plan for Israel, His chosen people.

“It was Your power that gave [Israel] a home.”

Israel did not get a home by their own strength. Their

enemies were much stronger then they were. They were slaves

and had nothing but God is the One who gave them a home!

By His power they were saved.

By His power they entered the promise land.

When it comes to God’s plan for you remember this:

It is by God’s power that you will accomplish it.

God’s plan for your life is not dependant on how smart you

are, how qualified you are, how strong you are, how savvy

you are. It depends ENTIRELY on His power!

It is by His power you will accomplish His plan for your

life.

“For they got not the land [of Canaan] in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them; but Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your countenance [did it], because You were favorable toward and did delight in them.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭44:3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Amen

Will you hold on…???

I had an amazing couple of days this past weekend.

The month of April in my country

marks the end of the first school term so that means holiday

time and holiday camps! And since I serve in our kids ministry

I went for camp with the kids I teach.

This was one of the best camps I have been on. Yes, I was

involved in the planning and organizing of it but I still had fun!

The kids we went with had a blast! As a leader it was a privilege

serving the children.

But what stood out the most for me was how God came and

ministered to me and the other leaders. I have been trusting

God for a lot of things and I have to admit it gets hard. It’s

hard holding on in faith and this weekend my faith was tested.

But in the testing God used the three days I was on

camp to re-adjust my focus.

This is what He spoke to me about:

“Now when Jesus returned, a crowd welcomed Him, for they

were all expecting Him.

Then a man named Jairus, a synagogue leader, came and fell

at Jesus feet, pleading with Him to come to his house

because his only daughter, a girl of about twelve, was dying.

Luke 8:40-55″

We all know the story very well but there are a few things

that I saw that jumped out at me that I would like to point out:

– Jairus came to Jesus because he had faith in Him. He believed

Jesus would heal his daughter. Jairus was desperate! He may

of tried a few doctors but with no luck.

– Jesus stopped walking when the woman with the issue of

blood touched Him. I am sure Jesus knew how desperate and

serious Jairus’s situation was but He still stopped?? How do we

know the woman with the issue of blood had that problem for

twelve years and how do we

know she used all her money on physicians with no change?

We know all this because one of the disciples must of taken

the time to speak to her. He must of spent some time asking

questions or Jesus must of simply listened to a healed ecstatic

woman tell Him how she had spent

all her money on physicians with no results and tell Him how

long this went on for!

Whatever the case, Jairus was waiting! What was on his mind as

all this was happened? Did he push Peter to speak up…?

“When they all denied it, Peter said, Master, the people are

crowding and pressing against you.” Luke 8:45

Where was his faith then?

Did he convince Peter of the absurdity of Jesus question? We

don’t know…..!

Then it happened….!

“While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the

house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. ‘Your daughter is

dead,” he said. “Don’t bother the teacher anymore.” Luke 8:49

What exactly was going through Jairus mind? It was faith

and desperation that led him to Jesus but was that faith

still there? Did Jesus take His time with the woman knowing

Jairus was desperate?? Did He want Jairus to endure

in his faith???

Having faith and enduring in your faith are two completely

different things. We do well when we trust God but is that enough?

We must also learn to endure in our faith. That’s the lesson

I learned on camp.

Jairus had faith in Jesus but his faith was tested. He had to

learn to endure in his faith he soon found out.

Don’t lose hope along the way! Jesus has not forgotten your

faith! Jairus may of felt like Jesus didn’t care or had forgotten

him but He didn’t!

“But Jesus, on hearing this, answered him, Do not be seized

with alarm or struck with fear;

Simply believe [in Me as able to do this], and she will be

made well.     Luke 8:50

When Jairus faith was failing, Jesus was right there

to encourage him. Jesus wants us to endure in our faith.

You may be trusting God for something and weeks,

months and years have passed without anything happening

but be assured,

something will happen as long as you endure in your faith!

Don’t give up in your faith. Don’t let fear cloud the truth

about your faith.

The truth is, God will come through!

God has heard you and will not let you down!

He wants to help you more than you will ever know!

Your faith is precious to God!

Your faith pleases Him.

As long as you have faith, the enemy will always lose!

At the end of the day, Jairus got his daughter back. Jesus

did a miracle in his life because he endured in his faith no

matter how bad things seemed!

Jesus knows where you are at. He has not forgotten about

you. He says,

“Simply believe [in Me as able to do this], and she shall be

made well.” Luke 8:50

Believe He is able to help you.

Believe He has heard you because He has.

As I sign off I want to encourage you to endure in your faith.

That is what I was challenged to do on camp!

God bless….

Who doesn’t need counsel…??!!!

We are all on a journey, a journey God has mapped out for us. But for that plan to take shape in our lives there is something we need. For us to be successful and accomplish what God has called us to do it’s important we realize the importance of advisors, counselors, and mentors in our lives. I will not say it is a must have but it is very important.
King David as mighty as he was had counselors.

Jonathan, David’s uncle, a wise and literate counselor, and Jehiel son of Hacmoni were responsible for rearing the king’s sons.
Ahithophel was the king’s counselor, Hushai the Arkite was the king’s friend. Ahithophel was later replaced by Jehoiada son of Benaiah and by Abiathar.
Joab was commander of the king’s army.  1 Chronicles 27:33-34

King David surrounded himself and his family with wise people. Even though he was king and even though He had a relationship with God he still had people who he could go to for counsel. This is a lesson for us too. We need to surround ourselves with wise people. We don’t need to be afraid to ask for counsel from people we deem as wise! We were not created to be an island. God created community for a reason.
Surrounding yourself with wise people is a very intentional thing. You have to go out and ask people. You have to humble yourself and go to someone who has been through more and ask for help.

I haven’t got to where I am by myself. There were times I just had no idea what I supposed to do but God brought people in my life who brought clarity to me. Your destiny is about other people and INVOLVES other people. You were not created to be a one man army! Reading the scripture I shared with you was a good reminder for me. If King David needed counselors and he was a man after God’s heart how much more do I need counselors?

Do you have someone who you can go to for advise and counsel from time to time. I don’t think it’s supposed to be all day everyday. God is the first point of call. King David always turned to God first and it seemed as he walked the road God marked out for him, God brought wise men into his life. Like I said in the beginning, having counselors is important. Counselors and advisors come in many forms these days. There is nothing that states your counselor or advisor must be someone who lives in the same area as you or must be someone who you can talk to face to face or must be the same colour or age or gender! Ask God to show you why certain people are in your life! Don’t limit yourself. One of my mentors is dead. I learn from him through the material he has left behind. Another counselor of mine lives on another continent who I have never met face to face! God wants you to accomplish your destiny. To make sure you accomplish it God sends you people to help. We just need to be humble enough to admit we need help and ask for help. God will not leave you alone.

Keep your word…..

THOUGHT OF THE DAY.

God can’t stomach liars;

He loves the company of those who keep their word. Proverbs 12:22

How many of us keep our word to the people around us? I told a friend I would meet them but didn’t. God loves the company of those who keep their word…….!

If that is what the word says, let me ask another question. Do you keep your word to yourself? You word to yourself is just as important if not more important than the word you make to others! Keep your word to yourself. Don’t break the promise you make to yourself. God loves the company of those who keep their word….!

God can’t stomach liars; He loves the company of those who keep their word. Proverbs 12:22  (Message)

he is in the dark……!!!!!!

I had a talk with my mentor some time ago about my life and life in general. There was something he said that was triggered today as I went through my journal.
He said, the devil speaks from the dark. He cannot see because he is in the dark.
And after some meditation I see how significant that is. If he is in the dark how can he see clearly? He would like us to believe that he can see clearly but the truth is, he can’t! We don’t have to listen to his lies because that is what they are lies!! The thing is this, the enemy knows he is in the dark but he still speaks and we believe him. I was one of his victims and by God’s grace, I am starting to see the real truth. I believed I was nothing and useless for such a long time. I didn’t think my life would amount to anything. I thought I was done for. I thought I was a loser. But they were all lies!!! Lies, lies, lies……It’s like letting a blind man give you directions. The devil would like us to believe his lies. But understand, he is in the dark. He lives in the dark.

The word says, he walks around LIKE a lion seeking whom to devour. (1 Peter 5:8)

Please note, he is like a lion, not a lion! We are children of the light and we need to start listening to the right person, God.
It sounds very easy as you read this but it’s not. The enemy has had time perfecting his lies. He has had time to tweak his show and make it seem as real as can be. I have just come to an understanding of what I am talking to you about. When my mentor shared this with me, it was like my eyes were being opened for the first time. How could I have been so blind? Because he is in the dark I don’t have to believe the lies. The negative things I was brought up believing about myself are false because they came from someone who couldn’t see and still can’t see, and that applies to you as well. He is doomed. His end has been decided and there is nothing he can do to change it. He is defeated.
In your life what are the lies you have believed? Ask for help from the Holy Spirit because without Him you fight in vain. You will not win in your own strength. You need God on your side. The truth is, you will not die. You will not stay down. You have a hope and a future. Your children will be saved. You will be healed from that sickness. You will not be poor. Your life will be significant. You are important.

Please remember, the devil is in the dark. He cannot see anything. He is shooting in the dark hoping you will believe him. Don’t believe the lies. They make look, and feel, and smell like the truth but if it’s from the devil it’s lies. He cannot see how your life will end. He cannot see all the good things God has in store for you. He can only guess. He is in the dark and that makes all the difference.

And that brings me to another truth. Only God knows what is going to happen. He knows the end of your story. Don’t allow people who don’t know you to determine what you are going to be. Don’t let them set the limits in your life. Only God can do that. If God tells you something can’t be done then so be it but don’t let people tell what you can and cannot do. They are not qualified to do that. They did not create you, God did. As far as I am concerned, YOU are not even qualified to come to a conclusion about yourself. You may know yourself better than everybody else but you are still not qualified to say what you can and what you can’t do. You never created yourself, God did. I hope you are starting to see how important it is who you listen to……

Do You Know The Value Of A Relationship??

God is a giving God and in His spirit of giving He has blessed us with relationships. How do you view the relationships God has given you? God created relationships for a purpose. God is a relational God. He knows the importance of relationships. Without relationships we lose a very vital part of ourselves. We need relationships, we cannot do without them.
In the beginning when God created Adam everything was perfect. (Genesis 1:31)

He said everything was very good but notice what He says about Adam, “it is not good for man to be alone” (Genesis 2:18).
It is interesting to me that God created man to have a relationship with Him but He said that Adam was alone!!!
God met with with Adam on a daily basis but He still created Eve!!?? Why? Did God make Adam with a defect??
No, He didn’t. He knew exactly what He was doing.

We were created to have a relationship with God and at the same time we were created for each other!!

With that in mind, how much value do you place on your relationships? I have been taught that relationships are very important. We should not take them for granted because they complete us. There is a reason that you know the people you know from the prominent to the not so prominent.
God brought those people into your life for a reason. You may not understand it but know that God has a plan.

The enemy will try anything to break the relationships in your life. He will use things like familiarity, pride, envy and so on to get in the way. Don’t let him take one of God’s most precious gifts to you, relationships and destroy it. Refuse to be familiar with the relationships God has given you. Stop comparing yourself to your friend. Stop looking down on the people you know that don’t have what you have. Stop envying the friends in your life who have more than you. How will you be there for them if you got all those negative things against them? How will God”s plan for your life and their lives come to pass if we have all these negative attitudes?

Remember, the enemy will try everything he can to destroy your relationships. He will even bring the wrong kind of people into your life to poison you, to tear you down, and to corrupt you.                         Understand that if relationships are vital to your growth then the wrong relationships can destroy you!!!

Let us be people who take the people God has put in our lives seriously. They are all important to your purpose even if you cannot see it. Let us honor God in our relationships. God bless.

Rolain.
