That was not a coincidence, God was involved!

“Now Elisha had said to the woman whose son he had restored to life,

“Go away with your family and stay for a while wherever you can,

because the Lord has decreed a famine in the land that will last seven

years.

The woman proceeded to do as the man of God said. She and her family

went away and stayed in the land of the Philistines seven years.”

2 Kings 8:1, 2

God’s word is so amazing. I love it and the lessons it teaches.

Before I continue I want to ask you something,

Do you believe Yeshua is directing your every step?

Has He planned your every step?

I strongly believe He knows and has planned our every step.

Even in the difficult times, He is directing us and is very much

in control.

There is nothing that happens in our lives that throws Him off guard.

Totally nothing!

Let’s take a look at the woman’s story for a bit. The man of God told her

to move to another land with her family because a famine was coming

to her homeland. The famine would last for seven years!

Getting up and going is no easy thing. She had to sell everything she had.

She had to make a new life in a foreign land which wasn’t easy.

What a risk she took right! There were so many things that could have gone

wrong but God I believe was directing her every step. He knew exactly

what was happening with her and had planned what would happen to her

because of her obedience.

Look at what happened to her,

“At the end of the seven years she came back from the land of the Philistines

and went to appeal to the king for her house and land.

The king was talking to Gehazi, the servant of the man of God, and said ,

Tell me about all the great things Elisha has done.

Just as Gehazi was telling the king how Elisha had restored the dead to life,

the woman whose son Elisha had brought back to life came to appeal to the

king for her house and land.

Gehazi said, “This is the woman, my Lord the king, and this is her son whom

Elisha restored to life.”

2 Kings 8:3-5 (emphasis mine)

That was no coincidence! How did she go to the king at the exact time Gehazi was telling

him about how Elisha raised her son from death to life?? There is no way she could have

timed it perfectly.

The only way that happened was because of God!

That’s the way He works.

Like Ruth just happened to be gleaning in the field of Boaz (Ruth 2:2-4) so it happened for the woman.

She thought she was just going to plead to the king for her house and land and nothing more.

She didn’t have the faintest idea that Gehazi was talking about her.

She had no idea how her life was about t0 change……

“Then he assigned an official to her case and said to him, Give back everything that belonged

to her, including all the income from her land from the day she left the country until now.”

2 Kings 8:6

This post is about how a loving God directs our

every step in ways we cannot even begin to fathom!

He has planned our every step friends.

You may be between a rock and a hard place but know that God is with you.

Nothing that happens in  your life escapes Him.

He is well aware of all that is going on in your life.

Have faith that He is taking you somewhere.

It may seem like you are at a dead end but its not true.

God will make a way out for you.

There is so much more He has in store for you.

He is leading you to pleasant places.

He is leading you to places He has appointed for you from the beginning

of time.

So as you take that step know He is directing your every step!

Bless you friends

He didn’t want to go that way………!

And Judah said to his brothers, What do we gain if we slay our brother and conceal his blood? Come, let us sell him to the Ishmaelites
[and Midianites, these mixed Arabians who are approaching], and let not our hand be upon him, for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brothers consented.

Then as the Midianite [and Ishmaelite] merchants were passing by, the brothers pulled Joseph up and lifted him out of the well. And they sold him for twenty pieces of silver to the Ishmaelites, who took Joseph [captive] into Egypt. (‭Genesis‬ ‭37‬:‭26-28‬ AMP)

We know the story of Joseph very well. He had a dream from God and was not shy to tell anyone! His brothers hated him for the dreams he had been given and his parents rebuked him but the fact remains, God had great plans for him!

God had great plans for Joseph but he was thrown into an empty well by his brothers! What kind of thoughts did he have sitting in that dark empty well???
I can imagine him crying out to his brothers for mercy, pleading to them, begging them to set him free!

If that was not enough his brothers sold him into slavery!! The word gives us a clue into what happened that day:

They said to each other, “We are being punished for the bad thing we did to our younger brother Joseph. We saw the trouble he was in. He begged us to save him, but we refused to listen. Genesis 42:21

God had a plan for Joseph that is very clear but,
he was first thrown into an empty well then
sold into slavery!!

Did he lose hope?? I would think so……! Was he confused and felt abandoned by God, maybe?

But look at what the word says about Joseph in the darkest time of his life:

He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold as a servant.
[Gen. 45:5; 50:20, 21.]

His feet they hurt with fetters; he was laid in chains of iron and his soul entered into the iron,

Until his word [to his cruel brothers] came true, until the word of the Lord tried and tested him. (‭Psalm‬ ‭105‬:‭17-19‬ AMP)

God had a plan for Joseph but God knew Joseph had to go Egypt if he was to accomplish God’s call on his life! And the only way Joseph could get to Egypt was as a slave!!! Just imagine if God showed Joseph all that before it actually happened?? I think Joseph would have refused. If Joseph had any say in the creation of his purpose, he would of chosen the most comfortable path! He would of chosen the easiest path! So,

Are you confused at how your life is going right now?
Do you think God has abandoned you?
Does anything make any sense right now in your life?

Just know that God is in control of your life and He loves you! He is guiding you!
Let me share one more scripture with you:

And the patriarchs [Jacob’s sons], boiling with envy and hatred and anger, sold Joseph into slavery in Egypt; but God was with him, [Gen. 37:11, 28; 45:4.]

And delivered him from all his distressing afflictions andwon him goodwill and favor and wisdom and understanding in the sight of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, who made him governor over Egypt and all his house.
[Gen. 39:2, 3, 21; 41:40-46; Ps. 105:21.] (‭Acts‬ ‭7‬:‭9-10‬ AMP)

In all the difficult things Joseph went through, God was with him!
God delivered him from ALL his distressing afflictions!

In your dark times, in your trying situations, in your times of testing,
God is with you and He will deliver you! You are not alone!

Joseph thought he was alone in the empty dark well but God was with him, crying with him!
He thought he was alone when his brothers sold him into slavery but God was with Him!!
When he felt rejected because his brothers sold him into slavery God was with him!

As Joseph headed for Egypt he may of thought his dreams were finished but little did he know they were just beginning! You may feel like it’s end of the line for you but it’s actually the beginning! The enemy is lying to you! Your story is just beginning! Trust the Lord because He is with you!

Rolain

Throw away that script!!

All his life he was abused. His dad was a drunk and his mom was having an affair, an affair that led to divorce! His school life suffered greatly! Who cared about science or geography when life was falling apart! His world as he knew it had been destroyed and was still a living nightmare and yet he was still required to engage at school!!! His teachers called him stupid, his seniors ridiculed him daily. He had no where to run but in himself but even that was hopeless because the person inside would tear him to bits, the person in him would tell him how pathetic he was……no one understood him not even his family….

His script.
I am a nobody and no one loves me! I am better off dead…..I am of no use on this earth! If there is a God, He really really hates me!!! No one understands me.
The boy grew up and for a lot of his life he held on to the script that had been given to him through experiences he went through as a child. He wanted nothing to do with his family, he was treated like trash but it never bugged him because his script said he was trash! He was poor but that was okay with it because his script said he was a nobody and he didn’t deserve anything good! He never expected love from anyone because his script said no one loved him and so it went until…..
Something happened, something that would change his life forever. The boy who was now a man found God or may I say, God found him! God changed the way he saw. God started showing him flaws in the script, not only flaws but lies and deception! It was a difficult time for the boy turned man. A lot of the lessons where painful. The crazy thing about the whole situation was there was a part of the man that wanted to hold on to the script!! It was what he knew and even though it was destroying him he held on to it and didn’t want to let go!
But God in His grace and love saved the man. After years and years of rebuilding and restructuring, and pounding and pain the man began to see something else. He began to see what God had for him…..He began to believe in love again! The script he once had was nothing but a memory now.
It would still come back to haunt him at times but by God’s grace he stood tall and strong knowing who his God was and is, knowing the plans God has for him, confident in the God who loves him!
This is what I would like to say to you. The script you have been given is false. God loves you and cares for you and has a plan for you. Your life can turn out differently despite what people are saying. Your life WILL turn out differently. God did not compose the script you are living by now not if it is a negative one and not if it undermines who are in Christ.
You are not destined to fail.
You are not a loser.
You are not ugly.
You are not useless.
You are not stupid.
You are not just a statistic.
You are not a burden.
You are not clumsy.
God has someone amazing out there for you.
You will succeed, you will win, you will prosper, you are loved, you have been forgiven, you are beautiful, you are rich, you are precious, you are important and so much more……
You don’t have to follow the script you have been given. God wants you to look to Him and trust Him. He wants to give you the best. The script is not true. Throw it away!
