….he doesn’t want us to remember!

Hey friends!

Last week I talked about how YAH remembers us. Man will

forget but not YAH, we are always on His mind.

Today though, I would like to talk about the importance of

remembering all the good things YAH has done for us.

It’s easy to forget the amazing things He has done. We

underestimate just how easy it is to forget. I believe it’s one of

the strategies the enemy uses to keep us in a state of panic,

anxiety, fear, and unbelief. He wants us to stay in a state of

forgetfulness….

“Remember the wonders He has done, His miracles, and the

judgements pronounced, you His servants, the descendants of

Abraham, His chosen ones, the children of Jacob.”

Psalm 105:5

We need to do everything we can to remember all the good things

He has done for us. Just the other day a friend and I talked about

this.

We then decided to write those things down and what a time we

had. Things kept coming to mind. The time flew as we penned

down the great and mighty miracles He had done for us individually.

I was encouraged after remembering the great things He had done.

“So Joshua called together the twelve men he had appointed from

the Israelites, one from each tribe and said to them. Go over before

the ark of the Lord your God into the middle of the Jordan. Each

of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder according to the number

of the tribes of the Israelites, to serve as a sign among you. In the

future, when your children ask you, ‘what do these stones mean?

tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of

the covenant of the Lord.”

Joshua 4:4-9

The stones were to be a reminder of a great work YAH had done

for His people. Like I said before, we need to do everything to

remember the miracles and works YAH has done in our lives.

We need to remember what YAH has done, when we are going

through challenges, tough times, and adversity.

When we are feeling overwhelmed.

When we are feeling discouraged.

Those are some of the times forgetfulness can creep in.

We need to be intentional about remembering. It doesn’t

happen automatically. The enemy is working overtime to

ensure we forget the amazing things YAH has done in our lives.

But we can’t forget.

We must remember!

Maybe it means you write down the things He has done in your

life or you create some sort of memorial in your house that helps

you remember. We must be creative friends.

Remembering what YAH has done is a weapon we can use

against the enemy’s lies. Remembering will break the fear,

the anxiety we have.

Let’s remember all the great things the Lord has done for us!

When I Don’t Know The Right Path To Take…..

How many of us are in “situations” but don’t know what to do or don’t know which path to take? That was me a for a couple of days. Its actually almost been a week. I would like to say I was strong and never panicked and everything was OK but it wasn’t.  I was worrying and fretting. A weight came over me and stayed! I was carrying a burden but didn’t know what to do with it. I knew I should trust God but I didn’t. I also knew that I should not worry and be anxious for nothing but I was. I knew it was crazy and something needed to give. There is a promise in Proverbs that I hold on to when I am confused or just unclear about stuff and I would like to share it with you. It has helped me in this turbulent time. I hope it helps you..

Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight and understanding.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.                       Proverbs 3:5,6   (Amplified)

This is a well known passage of scripture but people are only really familiar with verse 5. Verse 6 is what I would like to focus on. There is a promise from God. There are so many things that try to get us to panic and worry and fret but God is saying, if we in those times acknowledge Him and recognize He is in control and if we know He is for us and He has our back, He will direct, make straight, and plain your path. The path you were not sure about will be made clear, things that seemed confusing will become plain and those crooked paths will be made straight! If you want direction in a situation that you confused about and you don’t know which path to take then you need to acknowledge, know and recognize Him!

My situation is much better. It hasn’t all been solved but God is solving it. I am learning to trust Him more and more. As I keep on holding on to the scripture I shared God is bringing more and more wisdom. The path is getting clearer and clearer, straighter and straighter and I think that’s the way it’s supposed to be. If you are in the same boat then realize that God doesn’t want you to be confused. He wants you to be clear about your life and about where you going. He wants you to bring those situations to Him and leave them with Him and He wants you to trust Him. He is in control. I like the way “The Message” says it:

Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; He’s the One who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God!   Proverbs 3:5

The “Trust Issue”…..

In November I will be going for a tour to Malaysia. I am really looking forward to it but this is the thing, I haven’t finished raising my money. And then I found out I needed more cash for the trip. I have to admit that I panicked a bit. I started thinking about where I would get the other money and IF I would get it. That was just crazy. In the midst of all the anxiety a thought came to me. When things get crazy and beyond my control I panic why? As the month draws to an end there is always a worrying about the bills not been paid! The point is this, God has always come through for me countless times and yet I still worry again and again! One would think the lesson would have been learned but that is not the case! Every month and every season we worry about things that God has already come through for. Is it lunacy?

Is it a case of growing up as a Christian where I come to a realisation that God is my Provider and I don’t need to worry? Do I need to get to a level where I don’t panic no matter what comes my way because I have the understanding that God has already seen everything that I will ever face and also realise He had made a way for me a long time ago?

Do I need to come to a place where I realise that nothing ever shocks God, nothing!! Do I need to come to a realisation that God is never caught off-guard because He is TOTAL control of my life?!

God is the Almighty God. None can compare to Him. He gave His life so I could live. He loves me and watches over me. Since I serve so great a God instead of panicking I need to thank Him for coming through for whatever I have been facing! I should be solid and confident not in myself but in God that everything is ok…………..
