Is That The Truth?

There are so many “truth” out there that are not truths. We are constantly bombarded by “truths” which are really lies.

But the truth we need is found in Jesus. He is the TRUTH!

It’s only as we spend more time with Him that the lies we have believed can be exposed and the amazing truths He has

for us be revealed.

Mind you, the devil has been feeding us lies all of our lives through so many mediums – television, social media, people

around us…and the list goes on.

For a lot of people they were not taught to question what they were told especially if it was from a “credible” source.

They just believed or can I say “we” simply believed. I was one of those people.

I was told a lot of things and I just believed. But when I got born again a lot of those things I believed didn’t make sense.

What the Word said and what I was told didn’t match up and over the years the lies have been exposed.

It’s literally taken years for lies to be torn down in my life.

As I spend more and more time in His Word and prayer the lies are being broken down.

We need to question the “truths” we have accepted.

The real truth is found in Jesus. What He tells us is truth and we need to hold up what we have believed prior, to the Word

of God. What is not in step with the Word of God needs to be disregarded. We need to bring the lies to Jesus.

He is the only one that can break the lies that have bound us for so long. He is the lie-breaker if there is such a term 🙂

We need to always remember that God’s truth is stronger than every lie the devil has told us.

I think of the Israelites who chose to believe lies instead of the amazing truth God had for them.

Instead of believing God would be with them as they went to possess their promise land they feared. They believed they

didn’t have a chance against giants. They believed that the giants were stronger than the God they served!

The “truth” the Israelites accepted affected how they saw themselves, how they saw their circumstances and how they saw

God which lead them to lose the inheritance God had for them.

Like I said, there are so many lies disguised as truths that we are being told on a daily basis. But we need to stand them up

to what Jesus is telling us and if it’s not the same then we need to discard it.

For my last example I think of Jairus.

His daughter was near death so he went to find Jesus which he did. But on his way back some messengers met him along

the way and told him to not worry the Master any longer because his daughter had died. That was the ‘truth” he was told.

But the TRUTH had another truth for Jairus – his daughter would live!

“Jesus paid no attention to what they said, but told him, “Don’t be afraid, only believe.”

Mark 5:36

Remember, God’s truth is stronger than every lie the devil has told us.

And in this case, His truth was stronger than death!

Jairus’ daughter was raised from the dead.

So as I come to the end, be careful what you are accepting on a daily basis. Even if people around you are telling you

it’s useless to keep believing a thing, or even if they are saying it’s dead, believe the truth.

Believe what Jesus is revealing to you every time no matter how “credible” the source is that is telling you lies.

Bless you friends

God Doesn’t Stay In a Box!

“But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you; how much less this house that I have built.”

1 Kings 8:27 ASV

God is so big and cannot be contained. Even Solomon the wisest man on earth acknowledged this truth.

He knew that the temple he built could not contain the God of the Universe.

We know God is big but do we REALLY know it?

The way we see God is determined by the way we have been conditioned in the past. That can be by people close to us, TV, news, books we have read and so much more.

But that needs to change. We need the limitations broken because God is crazy big.

This week I cried out to Him to break the box I have put Him in. There are so many big things I am trusting Him for and I feel like there are limitations I have put on Him. Sometimes we put Him in a box without even knowing it.

But, God doesn’t not stay in a box.

The only way we can break the negative conditioning about God’s bigness and greatness is by immersing ourselves in the Word of God which is the Truth. We need an increase of God’s presence in our daily lives because this is the thing, God is big but our view of God is small at times. So when we consume more of His Word and get into His presence our perception of God begins to get bigger, it begins to grow.

We need to reprogram our minds with the Word of God.

God wants to perform miracles in our lives but if we only see a weak, powerless and feeble God then how is that going to happen? Remember the Israelites and what they said when they arrived to the land God promised them?

“Let’s go at once to take the land, he said. We can certainly conquer it!

But the other men who had explored the land with him disagreed. We can’t go up against them! They are stronger than we are! So they spread this bad report about the land among the Israelites: “The land we traveled through and explored will devour anyone who goes to live there. All the people we saw were huge. We even saw giants there, the descendants of Anak. Next to them we felt like grasshoppers, and that’s what they thought too.”

Numbers 13:30-33 NLT

God doesn’t stay in a box. He is crazy big, He is the God of the universe and nothing is too big for Him. There is nothing He can’t do.

God break the box we have put you in and the limitations we have put on You!

Show us your greatness and awesomeness anew again!

Amen

Bless you friends

Let’s talk about the dead things in our lives

“The Jews said, see how [tenderly] He loved him!

But some of them said, could not He Who opened a blind man’s eyes have

prevented this man from dying.”

John 11:36, 37

Lazarus had died. Jesus could have saved him but got there late, four days late!

Everyone agrees that the outcome would have been better if Jesus got to him in time.

“Martha then said to Jesus, Master, if You had been here my brother would not have died.”

John 11:21

“When Mary came to the place where Jesus was and saw Him, she dropped down at His feet,

saying to Him, Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.”

John 11:32

But I noticed something not just in this story but throughout the new testament. Jesus was not

intimidated by death. While everyone stopped and came to a conclusion because of death,

He moved forward.

Jesus saw death as something to be conquered which He did.

That gives me hope.

When a dream appears to be dead or hope lost, Jesus is beckoning us to keep trusting, to keep hoping.

He is calling us to not give up, to keep believing because He brings the dead things to life!

We may have been disappointed over and over again but we need to remember that Jesus is stronger

than death. Its not “the end” for you.

Jairus experienced this truth. His daughter was deathly sick so he went to Jesus for help. (Mark 5:22-43)

He found Jesus and took him to his home. But on the way some men came to him and told him

that his daughter had died. It was all over for him it seemed. But listen to Jesus’ words,

“Overhearing but ignoring what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue,

Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear; only keep believing.”

Mark 5:36

Jesus brought his daughter back from the dead! Death didn’t stop Jesus.

When everyone stopped at death Jesus moved forward and pushed death aside!

What is dead in your life? Where has hope been lost?

Look to Jesus because He brings dead things to life. Its not over yet.

Keep believing in Him.

He is the God who performs miracles!

Break the limitations we have placed on ourselves Lord.

You see no limitations!

You only see breakthrough!

Amen!

His faithfulness will not stop.

“It is true that some Jews were not faithful to God.

But will that stop God from doing what He promised? No!

God will continue to be true even when every person is false.”

We mess up, we make mistakes, we rebel and disobey at times but those things won’t stop

God from doing what He promised us. Our failures and short-comings are not the things that

will stop God from doing the miraculous in us and through us. He knows we are not perfect.

He knows He is the only one who is faithful and true and He doesn’t expect us to be perfect.

Let’s stop holding up our weaknesses as a reason for not being used. God will use us despite our

short-comings.  Nothing can stop His faithfulness towards His people. Not even sin!

I am not saying we should ignore the sin in our lives and just do what we want but I am saying

we should not think God won’t use us because we are broken and imperfect.

He will perform every good thing He promised us and that should give us joy.

He loves and cares for us in a way we can’t even begin to comprehend. Trust Him,

rely on His faithfulness!

Bless you, friends…

A time of endurance…

“So Moses and Aaron gathered all the elders of the Israelites.

Aaron told them everything that the Lord had told Moses.

Then Moses did the miracles for all the people to see. So the

Israelites believed. They heard that the Lord was concerned about them

and had seen their troubles. Then they bowed down and worshipped

Him.”

Exodus 4:29-31

The Israelites were in bondage for a really long time. Things had been really

difficult for them. So when Moses and Aaron told

them that God was concerned about them and had seen their troubles they must have

been encouraged.

But the hope they had quickly disappeared when the pressure intensified. The joy, the hope,

the faith they had was replaced with doubt, fear, and anxiety. They were not patient with the

Lord. They wanted the deliverance to happen that very instant.

“As they were leaving the meeting with the king, they met Moses and Aaron.

Moses and Aaron were waiting for them. So they said to Moses and Aaron, “May the

Lord punish you. You caused the king and his offices to hate us. You have given them

an excuse to kill us.”

Exodus 5:20, 21

That story spoke to me today. We need to endure as we wait for God’s promise

to materialize in our lives. His promise for our lives, our families, and our countries will be

contested against by the enemy. There is no way he is going to just sit and let you

stroll into what God has promised you. he is the adversary and by the very nature of

that name he opposes and fights against everything good that God has prepared for us.

The Israelites thought it would be a walk in the park but it wasn’t. They had to trust God with

all that they had. They had to believe His word was true. They had to endure.

God’s promise was true and He would deliver them and they needed to understand that no matter

how bad things got.

“He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold as a servant. His feet they hurt with fetters;

he was laid in chains of iron and his soul entered into iron.

Until his word [to his cruel brothers] came true until the word of the Lord tried and tested him.”

Psalm 105:17-19

When the promise seems like a fantasy we must keep trusting, we need to endure. His promise

is true, it will come to pass. The Lord is not a man that lies. His word is sure and if He promised

it will come to pass.  Difficulty doesn’t mean the promise won’t come to pass.

There is nothing that can stop the word of God from coming to pass.

Hold on in the storm. Endure, put your faith in Him.

He will fulfill what He promised you.

Bless you, friends…

Siding with doubt…..

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

Let’s make something very clear, there is no justification to side with doubt. There is no situation in life that

makes it okay to walk in doubt . No matter how bad things are, or impossible they seem, we should always

side with faith.

I did that recently. I was in a situation where the odds seemed bleak and guess what I did? You guessed right,

I began to doubt if YAH would come through. I am not talking about doubting and then coming back to my

senses and trusting YAH. No, I am talking about a resignation, a buckling to the pressure and deciding the

situation was lost, making a decision that nothing could be done!

We need to always have faith no matter how dim things appear. There is a a story in the bible that perfectly

illustrates what I am talking about;

“Jesus was still speaking to her when some men came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue ruler.

The men said, “Your daughter is dead. There is now no need to bother the teacher.”

But Jesus paid no attention to what the men said. He said to the synagogue ruler,

“Don’t be afraid; only believe.”

Mark 5:35, 36

Yeshua did not allow the man to entertain doubt. As soon as the men spoke to the ruler, Yeshua urged

him to believe, to not falter, to not doubt.

One could argue that there would be nothing wrong if the man simply accepted the news and went his

way. His daughter had died after all. But Yeshua wouldn’t have any of that. He challenged the man’s faith.

He challenged him to take his faith a step further.

Like I said in the beginning, there is no situation that warrants us to walk in doubt and unbelief.

We need to always side with faith no matter how dark a situation seems. Even when everyone is telling

you there is no way, side with faith, stand on it, declare it.

Doubt is not from YAH. Doubt makes it hard for Him to work in our lives.

Doubt makes it hard for us to see His power and miracles. It makes no room for Him to move.

When Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were commanded to bow down to the kings statue this is how

they responded;

“You can throw us into the blazing furnace. The God we serve is able to save us from the furnace and your

power. If He does this, it is good.

But even if God does not save us, we want you, our king, to know this:

We will not serve your gods. We will not worship the gold statue you have set up.”

Daniel 3:7

There was no compromising even in the face of a blazing furnace. They would trust YAH even if it meant

death! And that’s the kind of attitude we should have when it comes to faith.

Doubt must have no room in our lives. We should always choose faith.

Even when the whole world is doubting, choose faith. Don’t ever side with doubt.

“The just shall live by faith” is what the word teaches us so let’s do exactly that, walk by faith.

Bless you friends!

When the enemy seems to be winning the war…….

“When Jabin king of Hazor heard of this, he sent to Jobab king of Madon,

and to the kings of Shimron and Achshaph,

And to the kings who were in the north in the hill country and in the Arabah

south of Chinneroth and in the lowland and in the heights of Dor on the west;

To the Canaanites in the east and west; to the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites,

the Jebusites in the hill country; and to the Hivites below [Mount] Hermon in the land

of Mizpah.

And they went out with all their hosts, much people, like the sand on the seashore in number,

with very many horses and chariots.”

Joshua 11:1-4

Jabin wanted to eradicate the Israelites from existence. I think he heard all the stories

surrounding these peculiar people.

“When Jabin king of Hazor heard of this, he sent to Jobab king of Madon,

and to the kings of Shimron and Achshaph, (italics mine)

What did he hear?

– YAH parting the Jordan river so His people could pass (Joshua 3:14-17)

– Jericho’s massive walls crumbling when the people shouted (Joshua 6:20)

– The sun and moon not moving from their positions for a full day! (Joshua 10:12, 13)

– Rock missiles falling down from heaven crushing the southern kings. (Joshua 10:11)

He saw how the southern kings failed in their endeavor to eliminate YAH’s people. But he

had a plan, he would muster up the largest army ever to do the job. His goal wasn’t to cripple the

“enemy” no, he was thinking total annihilation!

YAH’s people didn’t stand a chance or so he thought. This is how the word of God described his army;

“And they went out with all their hosts, much people, like the sand on the seashore in number,

with very many horses and chariots.”

His army was compared to sand. Sand is uncountable and so was his army, innumerable,

“incontestable.”

I am sharing this story because this is a picture I believe of what it is like between me, you and the enemy.

The enemy is constantly trying to attack us because we have a purpose. There is no such thing as

an “easy road” if you are a son or daughter of YAH. The enemy doesn’t want you accomplishing what

YAH has for you at all costs.

He wants to take you out however he can. He is going to play dirty, and unfairly.

But we don’t have to fear because the Lord is fighting for us. The enemy will not be victorious.

The worst thing to do is try to live this life on your own, in your own strength because by yourself

you will lose.

It makes sense why the battle is so intense.

We need to know there is a battle but we also need to know that the God who fights for us has already

defeated the enemy.

The Hebrew word satan means “an adversary, one who resists”

That’s his very essence, to resist, to be an adversary.

It’s a fact we will face opposition when we are out to accomplish something significant for YAH

Think about Paul who had a mammoth task from Yeshua. This is what he said,

“For a wide door of opportunity for effectual [service] has opened to me [there, a great and

promising one], and [there are] many adversaries.”

1 Corinthians 16:9

Be assured that no matter what the enemy tries, no matter the horde that is in

your way, know this;

“The Lord is a Man of War; the Lord is His name.”

Exodus 15:3

Satan is a defeated foe and he doesn’t have the last say, far from it!

The “Man of War” has the last say and He is on your side. When you are surrounded by the enemy

call out to Him. When the enemy seems to be winning in your life cry out to the Lord. He will

come to your rescue!

Pursue the calling YAH has for you. He is with you every step of the way.

God bless you friends!

Rolain

….he doesn’t want us to remember!

Hey friends!

Last week I talked about how YAH remembers us. Man will

forget but not YAH, we are always on His mind.

Today though, I would like to talk about the importance of

remembering all the good things YAH has done for us.

It’s easy to forget the amazing things He has done. We

underestimate just how easy it is to forget. I believe it’s one of

the strategies the enemy uses to keep us in a state of panic,

anxiety, fear, and unbelief. He wants us to stay in a state of

forgetfulness….

“Remember the wonders He has done, His miracles, and the

judgements pronounced, you His servants, the descendants of

Abraham, His chosen ones, the children of Jacob.”

Psalm 105:5

We need to do everything we can to remember all the good things

He has done for us. Just the other day a friend and I talked about

this.

We then decided to write those things down and what a time we

had. Things kept coming to mind. The time flew as we penned

down the great and mighty miracles He had done for us individually.

I was encouraged after remembering the great things He had done.

“So Joshua called together the twelve men he had appointed from

the Israelites, one from each tribe and said to them. Go over before

the ark of the Lord your God into the middle of the Jordan. Each

of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder according to the number

of the tribes of the Israelites, to serve as a sign among you. In the

future, when your children ask you, ‘what do these stones mean?

tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of

the covenant of the Lord.”

Joshua 4:4-9

The stones were to be a reminder of a great work YAH had done

for His people. Like I said before, we need to do everything to

remember the miracles and works YAH has done in our lives.

We need to remember what YAH has done, when we are going

through challenges, tough times, and adversity.

When we are feeling overwhelmed.

When we are feeling discouraged.

Those are some of the times forgetfulness can creep in.

We need to be intentional about remembering. It doesn’t

happen automatically. The enemy is working overtime to

ensure we forget the amazing things YAH has done in our lives.

But we can’t forget.

We must remember!

Maybe it means you write down the things He has done in your

life or you create some sort of memorial in your house that helps

you remember. We must be creative friends.

Remembering what YAH has done is a weapon we can use

against the enemy’s lies. Remembering will break the fear,

the anxiety we have.

Let’s remember all the great things the Lord has done for us!

Rolain

The word you need to hear when you are in a difficult place…..

“Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the town of

Mary and her sister Martha.”

John 11:1

Mary and Martha were going through a really hard time. Their brother

Lazarus was very sick. They must of thought the sickness was serious

if they had to send for Jesus.

“Therefore the sisters sent to Him saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love

is sick.”

John 11:3

Yeshua’s response is something I really believe we need to embrace and receive

in this season. The world around us is crumbling. The systems that have been established

for so long are shaking and breaking.

Can we keep on looking to man as things are getting crazy and crazy?

How can we explain the pressure that we experience on a day to day basis??

Let’s look at Yeshua’s response after being told that Lazarus was sick;

“When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death,

but for the glory of God, and the Son of God may be glorified

through it.”

John 11:4

The amazing thing is this, Yeshua knew things would get harder for the

sisters. He knew Lazarus would die. And that’s what makes His declaration

so powerful.

Through Lazarus sickness and eventual death Yeshua knew He would be glorified

because He would have the opportunity to show the people His power!

He would have an opportunity to show the people how weak the enemy really was

by raising Lazarus from the dead!

That’s amazing to think!!

The enemy may try to lie to you that he is more powerful than God but he really isn’t.

Your pain and hardship is an opportunity for Yeshua to be glorified.

Understand this, He doesn’t go around causing chaos so He can then come in and

save the day. If He did, then we would be in real trouble.

The God we serve is loving and merciful. He would never let harm come to us. It’s the enemy that

goes around causing chaos hoping we would be destroyed in the process. But like I said, the enemy

is not as strong as he thinks he is.He is a defeated foe!!

The enemy thought he had dealt this family the ultimate blow but he was SO wrong!

He had no idea that the evil he had planned would be an opportunity for Yeshua to be

glorified. Let’s look at how badly he was beaten;

“Now a great many of the Jews knew that He was there; and they came, not for Jesus’

sake only, but that they might also see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.

But the chief priests plotted to put Lazarus to death also, because on account of him many

of the Jews went away and believed in Jesus. ” (emphasis mine)

John 12:9-11

The enemy was defeated badly!

So in your situation know that the enemy has no chance. It may seem like he has the

upper hand at the moment but YAH will turn your situation around because He is stronger

and has already defeated him!

I want to show you one more thing,

“Then many of the Jews who had come to Mary, and had seen the things Jesus did,

believed in Him.

But some of them went away to the Pharisees and told them the things Jesus did.”

“Then from that day on, they plotted to put Him to death.”

John 11:45, 11:53

After reading the response to the amazing miracle Yeshua performed by

some of the Jews and the Pharisees one things is clear to me.

The enemy hates all that is good!

What an amazing miracle Yeshua performed but there were still people who

totally missed it. All they had was hate in their hearts for Yeshua.

They even went as far as plotting the death of Lazarus who did nothing but

get raised from the dead!! That really gives us insight into what the enemy really thinks

about YAH and us.

Let that sink in, the enemy hates all that is good and I don’t just mean that in a general way,

he also hates everything good in your life!

He doesn’t want anything good happening for you. He would love it

if he could take you out. He wants to see you discouraged and hopeless.

It would bring him satisfaction to see you fail and miss YAH. He hates

you and wants you gone! Let me rephrase that, he hates us and wants

us gone!

But we are under the protection of the Almighty! No matter how hard he tries

and no matter what kind of weapons he fashions they will not prevail over us

because we belong to YAH. He is protecting and watching over us.

In the hard times have faith. Look to YAH. He will carry you through.

He will be glorified in your dark times. The enemy may try but he cannot respond

to that truth!

Praise to Yeshua!!

Bless you friends!

Rolain

Who are you surrounding yourself with?

“Then the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about

six hundred thousand men on foot, besides children.

A mixed multitude went up with them also, and flocks and herds-a great

deal of livestock.”

Exodus 12:37, 38

When the Israelites left Egypt they left with a mixed multitude. The bible doesn’t

say much about the mixed multitude.

They could of been running away from the Egyptians.

Maybe as they saw all the miracles God performed they

thought they would see more miracles where they went.

Maybe some left because people were leaving.

Whatever the case Israel never left alone. At first you think nothing

of it but things aren’t what they seem.

“Now the mixed multitude who were among them yielded to intense craving;

so the children of Israel also wept again and said: “Who will give us meat to eat?

We remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons,

the leeks, the onions, and the garlic; but now our whole being is dried up;

there is nothing at all except this manna before our eyes!”

Numbers 11:4-6

My question to that is, who made the Israelites remember??

As I read these scriptures I couldn’t help but think of the people we allow

in our lives. We need to be very careful who we allow in our lives.

I know I can’t blame the mixed multitude for all the Israelites problems.

The Israelites were to blame for a lot of the bad that happened along the

way. But at the same time I can’t ignore the fact that the mixed multitude

were part of the problem!

Having the wrong people in your life could be disastrous.

You need to be very careful who you call friend.

Who are you walking with?

Do they have your best interests in mind?

Are they positive or negative people?

Do they challenge you to pursue the dreams God has put in

your heart no matter how impossible it seems or do they shoot

them down??

Are they always complaining, always whining, always speaking

about the bad?

This is a hard post to write but it must be written. If you are to grow

in the Lord, if you are to pursue the dreams God has put into your heart

you will need to look at the people you have surrounded yourself

with.

Make sure you have people who will push you to trust in the Lord.

Surround yourself with people who will encourage you

Surround yourself with people who will challenge you and be real with you.

Surround yourself with people who will remind you of God’s promises.

Don’t tolerate negativity in your life.

Be wise in choosing your friends.

God bless you friends
