What faith stands on!

Therefore, [inheriting] the promise is the outcome of faith and

depends [entirely] on faith, in order that it might be given as

an act of grace (unmerited favor), to make it stable and valid

and guaranteed to all his descendants – not only to the devotees

and adherents of the Law, but also to those who share the faith

of Abraham, who is [thus] the father of us all.  Romans 4:16

I would like to share a quick thought on faith with you.  As we

all know Abraham was the father of faith. God spoke to him

about his future. This is what the word says:

He did not weaken in faith when he considered the [utter]

impotence of his own body, which was as good as dead because

he was about a hundred years old, or [when he considered]

the barreness of Sarah’s [deadened] womb.

No unbelief or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question)

concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was

empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God.

Fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to

keep His word and do what He promised.

Romans 4:19-21

Abraham had great faith. His faith was unshakable but why

and how? It’s simple, He believed the word God had spoken

to him.

Let me say this:

For faith to work it needs the word of God.

Without the word, faith is powerless!

Abraham heard the word and because of that his faith

was strong. He kept God’s word close to him.

When I hold on to the word in tough situations there is a peace

that comes.

To walk in faith we need to have the word of God. No word,

no faith. It’s as simple as that. Faith stands on the word of

God. Faith needs the Word to live, without it faith will be easily

crushed. Faith is made stronger by the word. You cannot

separate the two. To walk in faith you need to be speak

the word, meditate on it.

Are you trusting God for something? What does God’s  word

say about it? Proclaim the word over your situation.

The word of God is the answer to your problem!

As I close remember, faith needs the Word of God to work!

The doors will open…..

THOUGHT OF THE DAY.

If God opened the first door He will surely open the second,

third, fourth, fifth door……..

As God opens doors of opportunity for us we must rest and be

assured He will open the other doors.

No matter how impossible it seems know this:

He opened the first door so He will open the second door and

ALL the other doors! Wait on Him!

In this moment of waiting be thankful that He has opened

the first door. Meditate on it, realize it was no small thing!

The doors will open.

He is good indeed……

When You Are At Your End…..

O Lord, rebuke me not in Your wrath, neither chasten me in Your hot displeasure.
For your arrows have sunk into me and stick fast, and Your hand has come down upon me and pressed me sorely. Psalm 38:1,2

For my iniquities have gone over my head [like waves of a flood]; as a heavy burden they weigh too much for me. Psalm 38:4

My heart throbs, my strength fails me; as for the light of my eyes, it also is gone from me. Psalm 38:10

My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my plague; and my neighbors and my near ones stand afar off. Psalm 38:11

They also that seek and demand my life lay snares for me, and they that seek and require my hurt speak crafty and mischievous things; they meditate treachery and deceit all the day long. Psalm 38:12

In these verses we see King David at his end. He is in A LOT of trouble! I can relate with him but not to that extreme! I have been in that place where I been at my end, not knowing what do next. At a loss at what the answer is. We all have been there. That is a part of life we cannot ignore. Troubles will come. But this is my question, when you are at your end what will you do? What will you do?
Will you just give up or keep on hanging on? This is King David’s response when he was at his end:

For in You, O Lord, do I hope; You will answer, O Lord my God. Psalm 38:15

King David had hope in God through the trouble that was happening. As he was at his end he looked to God. This was not the last time he would be at his end. There were several times where he thought he was finished but his hope was always in God. People were trying to kill him but his hope was in God!
His sins where to much for him but even in that, his hope was in God!
The people closest to him abandoned him but his hope was in God.

What situations are you facing? Hope in God. When you are at your end hope in God!
King David didn’t say, God might answer him. He said, “You will answer”!!!
We need to have that same confidence. You may be doubting if God will answer you just know, He will answer you!! We are nothing if we don’t have hope and faith in God.
Where would we be without our hope in God? What would we do without faith? Life is not worth living without hope and faith!!

When you are at your end hope in the Lord. When you are at your end, know the Lord will answer your prayers, He will pull you through!!! He will not leave you to die. He loves you too much…..

Thinking About The Next Generation…

I was in South Africa for the whole week last week. I had gone for another music tour. I really enjoyed being there. As I was on tour I had time to think and meditate on the important things. I got time to get deeper into God which was great and there were a few lessons I learned while on tour which I would like to share with you. I will only share one with you in this post.
I love King Hezekiah. He is one of my favourite characters in the Bible that is until I read 2 Kings 20. King Hezekiah was sick unto death but he begged God to heal him which He did. Hezekiah had visitors from Babylon who came to see him because they heard he was sick. ( 2 Kings 20:12)
He showed them everything in his kingdom which got him into trouble. This is what God said to him:

Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah. Hear the word of the Lord!
Behold, the time is coming when all that is in your house, and that which your forefathers have stored up till this day, shall be carried to Babylon; nothing shall be left, says the Lord.
And some of your sons who shall be born to you shall be taken away, and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of Babylon’s king.
Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, The word of the Lord you have spoken is good. For he thought, Is it not good, if [all this evil is meant for the future and] peace and security shall be in my days?    2 Kings 20:16-19

We all have weaknesses and I am not expecting Hezekiah to be perfect. But think about this, Isaiah is giving him a horrific prophesy about his nation and his children and all he has to say is, “the word of the Lord you have spoken is good“!!!!
We are meant to learn from the men and women in the bible and there is an important lesson here. Please understand, everything you do now has a bearing on your future. What you do now will determine what your future will be like.
The things you do now will also determine your kids future!!
If you are 15 years old, know that your actions have a bearing on your kids in the future! Yes your actions determine what you will become but they also determine who your kids will become. We need to be think about the next generation. We need to have that mindset. Hezekiah’s children where destined for evil because of his actions but he didn’t care. How different would it have been if he fell on his knees and repented for what he did. Would he have saved his children’s lives and the lives of his people? I don’t know for sure but it is something to think about.
We need to fight for our kids in this time. We do that by the things we say and the things we give our time to and how we think. They need to be able to stand on our shoulders. We have got to stop thinking about ourselves. We have become so selfish as people thinking about how we are going to make it and what we are going to eat and so on and have totally forgot about the people around us. I don’t want to carry on being selfish. My family’s lives depend on it. I want my kids to come and do great things for God because I laid a good foundation in the relationships I have made and the things I have done. I don’t want them to start from square one because I was too busy thinking about myself and I don’t want to play a role in the destruction of their future!!!

As I end I would like to remind you that what you do now has a bearing on your family’s future. What you do now does matter. Let us have the next generation in mind. Ask yourself, what am I doing that will benefit the next generation?
Am I building a good foundation for the next generation to stand on?
Am I destroying the future of the next generation by my attitudes and the things that I do?

The next generation is depending on us.
