Before You Move…

We need to wait on God’s voice before we move, more and more.

The days of doing things because it’s a good idea or because everyone is going the same way must be rethought (if that’s

a word). We need to go back to the drawing board and rethink how we are living because we are in the end times and there

are so many voices, trying to show us the “true” way which is not the way God wants us to go. We need God’s voice, plain

and simple. I want to share a scripture which really drove this point home for me. And it’s the story of Noah.

After the flood he and his family waited for the waters to subside and they did. That’s where I want to pick up the story;

“In the six hundred and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried off from the earth.

And Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked, and behold, the face of the ground was dry.

In the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth dried out. Then God said to Noah, Go out from

the ark, you and your wife, and your sons and your sons wives with you.

So Noah went out, and his sons and his wife and his sons wives with him.”

Genesis 8:13-19

Noah did not move until God told him to move. The door of the ark was opened but we don’t read of Noah going out to

explore or to stretch his legs. For nearly two months from the time the door of the ark was opened Noah waited on

God’s next instruction.

“In the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth dried out. Then God said to Noah, Go out from

the ark, you and your wife, and your sons and your sons wives with you.”

Even when he saw the earth was dry he still waited for God to speak. He could have gone a few steps out of the ark to see

the new world but he didn’t. He wasn’t in danger of drowning but he still didn’t move. He waited on God speak to him

about his next steps. I love that!

“And Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked, and behold the face of the ground was dry.”

That challenged me a lot. I don’t want to go through life doing my own thing. There are so many times I went ahead on my

own and messed up.

I want God to lead me.

And He wants to lead me and guide me because He knows best.

And that’s my challenge to you. Seek God’s voice more in your life today. He wants to direct your steps.

He has great things in store for you and He wants you to have them.

I think of Joshua who was commanded by God to destroy the enemy who lived in the promise land. He wasn’t

allowed to make a treaty with them but to annihilate them. But there were a people who were afraid and

they devised a plan to deceive Joshua. They didn’t want to be destroyed with the surrounding nations. So they

came up with a plan and the plan worked. They deceived Joshua and he made a treaty with them. (Read Joshua 9)

The word says,

“So the Israelites examined their food, but they did not consult the Lord. Then Joshua made a peace treaty with them

and guaranteed their safety, and the leaders of the community ratified their agreement with a binding oath.”

Joshua 9:14 NLT

Because Joshua did not seek God’s voice with the Gibeonites he wasn’t able to carry out God’s command to the letter.

We need God’s voice in everything we do. We can’t go through life without it.

Let’s make sure we ask for His guidance with every step we take.

Because like I said earlier, He wants to direct us to the amazing things He has for us.

Bless you friends

How Can We Win Against These Strong Enemies?

What should we do when life gets overwhelming and the troubles we face seem too much for us?

I was in a situation this past week and I was overwhelmed by the things I was facing. I felt discouraged

and felt like God wasn’t listening but I came across a scripture in my quiet time that recalibrated my thoughts

back to Him.

Life has a way at times of getting our minds off God, and driving us into some pretty dark and ugly tunnels and

that is why we need God’s word in our lives.

It recalibrates, and realigns our thoughts back to Him.

Let’s get into the word I read;

Perhaps you will think to yourselves, ‘How can we ever conquer these nations that are so much more powerful

than we are?’ But don’t be afraid of them! Just remember what the Lord your God did to Pharaoh and to all the

land of Egypt.”

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭7:17-18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Moses was addressing the people of Israel as they were about to enter the promise land. They would come up

against some very powerful enemies and Moses knew they would encounter times of fear, doubt and anxiety.

But he reminded them to REMEMBER, what God did to the Egyptians.

As powerful as the Egyptians were, God delivered and saved Israel from them. He defeated the Egyptians.

He also reminded them that God was with them.

“No, do not be afraid of those nations, for the Lord your God is among you, and he is a great and awesome God.”

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭7:21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

So if you are feeling overwhelmed by the troubles you face and the giants that are before you, remember what the

Lord has done for you. Remember the great deliverances He has delivered you with. Remember how He has answered

your prayers through the years and still continues to do so.

He is with you. You are not alone at any time, especially when trouble is at your door. God will deliver you like He has

done many times before. Keep holding onto your faith in Him.

Bless you friends

A day full of promise!

“Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: Today if you will hear His voice,

Do not harden your hearts, as [happened] in the rebellion [of Israel] and their

provocation and embitterment [of Me] in the day of testing in the wilderness,

Where your fathers tried [My patience] and tested [My forebearance] and

found I stood their test, and they saw My works for forty years.”

“Then while it is [still] called Today, if you would hear His voice and when you hear it,

do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion [in the desert, when the people provoked

and irritated and embittered God against them].”

Hebrews 3:7-15

Today is not just another day. Today is the day. We can’t change what happened in our past.

The future is too far away to make any meaningful change. What we have is today.

The Israelites sinned against God in the wilderness. they murmured, they complained,

they doubted, they envied, they tested God. He gave them chance after chance but their

hearts were hardened.

I don’t what your past has been like but know that “Today” the Holy Spirit is calling.

The past is the past. He wants to do something new in your life starting today.

You might be riddled by guilt but TODAY is a new day! The Lord is calling out to you.

Today is our second chance.

We messed up and messed up some more but today is our second chance.

A day can make all the difference when God is involved.

I have made mistakes,

I have made some bad decisions,

I have done a lot of dumb things in my life but as I read this scripture I believe God wanted

me to know today is a new day.

I don’t have to keep looking back at those things.

You don’t have to let the things of the past hold you back any longer.

God is calling you today!

And all you have to do is answer His call.

Don’t let today go to waste. Make the most of it by answering the Holy Spirit. In our own strength,

we will fail but with God, today can be a start of something great!

Amen!

God is not deaf, so tell Him what you going through…

“As for me, I will call upon God, and the Lord will save me. Evening and morning and at noon

will I utter my complaint and moan and sign, and He will hear my voice.”

Psalm 55:16-17

When we pray God listens but not only does He listen, He responds (He saves)!

Don’t hesitate when you are in trouble.

Don’t hesitate when you are confused and looking for answers.

Don’t hesitate when you are fearful.

Bring your requests to Him with full assurance that He hears you and will save you.

I was in trouble a few days ago and armed with this revelation I prayed. I asked God for help and

He heard me. I know He heard me because He helped me. The trouble I was in He fixed.

I don’t know where you are today but let me tell you that God hears your prayers.

God is not deaf. He knows what you need. He knows the battles you are facing.

He knows your every desire.

The enemy, on the other hand, wants us to believe that God doesn’t care, that He has forgotten about

us. But it’s not true.

Pray to Him always, no matter how small or insignificant you think your request is.

And if you don’t get an answer then go back to Him and ask Him why. There is always a reason

for unanswered prayer.

“O You Who hear prayer, to You shall all flesh come.”

Psalm 65:2

Because He hears our prayer we go to Him. He wants to hear our prayers.

So today make your requests to Him known.

Bless you!

The place of isolation.

“So Saul sent messengers to Jesse and said, send me David your son,

who is with the sheep.”

David was in an isolated place away from people and yet Saul knew where to find him.

How did that happen?

He was alone for the most part of his day. It wasn’t the coolest, hippest place to hang out

I can imagine but it’s in that place that David’s relationship with God was developed. It’s in that

place he communed and worshipped God. He learned to trust God in that place. It’s in that place

he fought a lion and a bear and God delivered him from them both. (1 Samuel 17:37)

You might be in a place where people don’t see you or even recognize you but know this,

the Lord knows exactly where you are. Be patient where you are. The Lord is at work in you

and is directing your every step.

“Jesse made seven of his sons pass before Samuel. And Samuel said to Jesse,

The Lord has not chosen any of these.

Then [he] said to Jesse, Are all your sons here? [Jesse] said, There is yet the youngest;

he is tending the sheep.

Samuel said to Jesse, Send for him; for we will not sit down to eat until he is here.

Jesse sent and brought him. David had a healthy reddish complexion and beautiful eyes and

was fine-looking.

The Lord said [to Samuel], Arise, anoint him; this is he.”

1 Samuel 16:10-12

David’s father forgot about David and had to be asked if he had another son but that will never

happen with God.  Like I said before, He knows where you are.

Don’t despise the place you are in today. It might not be the most exciting place to be or the most

fulfilling and can even be frustrating but God has a plan for your life. He knows what He is doing.

“Now Eliab his eldest brother heard what he said to the men; and Eliab’s anger was kindled

against David and he said, Why did you come here?

With whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your presumption and

evilness of heart; for you came down that you might see the battle.”

1 Samuel 17:28

“With whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness?”

Did David’s brother have an understanding of what was happening in the wilderness with

those “few sheep”?

I don’t think he had the slightest clue.

The place of isolation was very important. It prepared David to fight Goliath and win!

It prepared him for the things God planned for him.

So today, don’t underestimate what God is doing in you and through you. He has not forgotten you.

He is working in and through the circumstances you are facing and even though it may seem like

you are alone you are not.

I was getting frustrated with where I was in my life but I began to realize that God was in total control.

He IS in total control and there is nothing that happens in my life or your life that catches

Him by surprise. You may have been in a place for a long time and it seems like things won’t change

but I am here to say that things will change for you. God is faithful and will not abandon you.

Man will let you down but not God. Look to Him alone.

He sees you in your place of isolation!

Bless you friends

What’s the deal with fear?

I was deep in thought thinking about how I was going to make it.

Wondering how the bills would get paid.

Wondering how my life would turn out in the midst of such opposition.

As I thought on those things fear gripped my heart. I was afraid.

But it was at that exact moment that I realized something about fear.

Fear was not going to tell me everything would be okay.

I should expect no encouragement from fear. It is not an option thinker. All it thinks and

sees is negative. It’s not optimistic.

It will never direct me to God in any situation.

It wants me paralyzed.

It wants me to fail.

It doesn’t want me to see God.

It wants me hopeless and discouraged.

Fear chooses to forget God in difficult circumstances.

It can’t love, it can’t trust, it can’t hope.

It focuses on the worst possible outcome in any situation we face when it knows there is a better

outcome in God.

Fear ALWAYS sees the negatives in everything and CHOOSES to ignore the positives.

Or in other words, it chooses to see the dead ends, the failure, the death and refuses to see

light at the end of the tunnel, the hope, the answer!

And that is why we can’t listen to fear. As I let fear grip me, all I thought about

were the negatives.

But the truth of the matter is that there was another option.

There was a better and more positive outcome if I allowed my faith in God to take the lead instead of fear.

Let me rephrase that, there IS a better and more positive outcome…

“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear),

but (He has given us a spirit of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind

and discipline and self-control.

2 Timothy 1:7

As we walk out our faith in God, fear will always try to get in the way. It will try to disrupt the faith

we have put in God. Let us fight against fear no matter how long it takes.

This battle can’t be won in our own strength. We need God’s help to show us the areas we

have allowed fear to dominate us. We need His help to overcome Fear so we can move forward

in what God has for us.

The Lord is with us in this fight and leading the charge!

Bless you, friends.

Does the Lord get amnesia??

“Then God remembered Rachel and answered her prayer.

God made it possible for her to have children.”

Genesis 30:22

Rachel couldn’t have children and in that time of history, women were looked down upon

if they couldn’t have children. It must have been hard for Rachel because Leah was bearing

children while she was unable.

But things didn’t stay that way for her because the day came when the Lord remembered her…

He hadn’t forgotten about Rachel. He hadn’t discarded her prayers or the desires of her heart.

He had them at the very front of His mind never to be forgotten. It’s not like the Lord gets amnesia

and totally forgets what you need. He loves you and knows exactly what you need so don’t lose heart.

The Lord has not forgotten you. He knows what’s in your heart and His desire is to bless you

beyond what you can ever imagine! He is listening to you and even though it may seem like

He is silent the day will come when He will speak up. The day will come when He remembers you.

Keep trusting, and keep praying.

Bless you, friends…

He hears me always…..!

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

“When I was in trouble, I called to the Lord.

And He answered me.”

Psalm 120:1

There is a place to run to when we are in trouble.

There is a Person to turn to when things go bad.

His name is Yeshua. He hears our prayers. He ALWAYS hears us.

Pray to Him with confidence. When you are in trouble call out to Him.

He wants to help you. He wants to carry you out of the pit you are in. Put aside the lie that says He is

not listening. It’s not true.

“I love the Lord, because He has heard [and now hears] my voice and my supplications.

Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore will I call upon Him as long as I live.”

Psalm 116:1, 2

He hears and He answers. That’s the way He does it. Don’t remain silent. Open your mouth and

pray to Him as long as you live……

Bless you

Watch what goes in……

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

contaminate:

to soil, stain, corrupt, or infect by contact or association

Today I will be talking about the contamination that happens in our hearts. We really do need to be careful

what we hear, who we hang out with, what we watch, what music we listen to….

Because it’s through those things we can contaminate ourselves.

Let me share a story with you of something that happened this week;

I was with some people who were speaking really negatively about a situation concerning the country.

The more the conversation went on the more uneasy I became. I could literally feel the fear creep in to me

as they spoke. I wanted to get out of there but I didn’t. I stayed. (wrong choice)

There is so much in this world that can contaminate and pollute our hearts so we must be on our guard

at all costs (Proverbs 4:23).

What are you listening to on a daily basis?

Who are you hanging out with?

What are you watching?

It’s hard to hear Yeshua’s voice when your heart is corrupted. It’s especially difficult to move in faith

when fear has entered your heart.

It’s hard to pray for healing when all you have filled yourself with, is words of death.

Stay away from toxic conversations. Reduce the amount of news you watch or read if that’s what gets

you out of peace?

Stay away from things that make you fearful and terrified, anxious and worry.

Those are the things that contaminate and pollute.

Guard your self at all costs!

Bless you

No matter how hard things are, the Lord has a plan.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

“Joshua spoke to the men who had spied out the land. Joshua said, ‘Go into the prostitute’s

house. Bring her out. And bring out all the people who are with her. Do this because of the

promise you made to her.

So the two men went into the house and brought out Rahab. They brought out her father,

mother, brothers and all those with her. They put all her family in a safe place outside the

camp of Israel.”

Joshua 6:22, 23

Rahab’s life was going one way before the spies came. She was a prostitute and as you might

of guessed, she was welcomed by some and rejected by others!

Her life must have been hard I can imagine.

But despite what people saw YAH saw something entirely different.

She had made so many mistakes with no way out but that was all about to change.

The Lord had a plan for her life and despite her past, her mistakes, bad decisions and people’s

opinions of her that plan was completed.

YAH turned her life around in a way no one could ever imagine.

The word today is simple;

YAH has a purpose for your life, full stop!

Don’t let your past hinder what YAH has planned for you.

Don’t let the opinions of others stop you from trusting the Lord for something amazing.

Don’t let your current situation deter you

Rahab was a prostitute. In the eyes of everyone around her she wasn’t much but not so in

the eyes of YAH. He saw something different.

The Lord sees you differently to what man sees.

It doesn’t matter if you not strong enough, smart enough, rich enough and so on,

the Lord has something amazing planned for you.

And that’s all I have to share today.

Bless you friends!
