When we have been let down, and we let down, God doesn’t…!

“God is not a man, that He should tell or act a lie, neither the son of man,

that He should feel repentance or compunction [for what He promised].

Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not

make it good?”

Numbers 23:19

We have been let down on countless occasions. Heck, we have let others down on

countless occasions and the temptation is to look at everything through that filter.

But that is not the case with the Lord. He will never let us down. He will always keep

His word no matter what. He won’t back down or retract any promise

He made to you. The enemy might make you think God has given up on you but

He hasn’t. He loves you and won’t back down on what He promised you.

Don’t lose heart and don’t get weary in the waiting. God is faithful and will come through for

you. He has not forgotten about that problem you are having. He has not gone deaf to

your prayer. He hears you loud and clear and will help you. He is not a man…

He doesn’t belittle

He is not spiteful

He doesn’t abandon

He is not judgemental

Don’t think there is ever a time He gets tired of listening to you.

He is not a man…

Because He is not a man you can trust Him. He wants you to trust Him!

He will bring to pass every promise He has ever made to you. I know that’s a bold statement

but it’s true. It’s something I am coming to grips with as well.

You don’t need to worry.

He loves you and He is faithful to you!

Bless you, friends!

Move ahead in faith…

“And the people grumbled and deplored their hardships, which was evil in the ears

of the Lord, and when the Lord heard it, His anger was kindled; and the fire of the

Lord burned among them and devoured those in the outlying parts of the camp.”

Numbers 11:1, 2

The Lord was with the Israelites and expected them to respond in faith but that’s not what happened.

Instead of trusting Him when things got really difficult they responded in unbelief and fear and that was evil

in the eyes of the Lord.

Possessing the land of Canaan was an impossible task. Giants resided there.

But no matter how impossible the task was the Lord wanted His people to trust Him. He wanted them

to be confident in His power, strength, and faithfulness.

Sadly, that never happened. The Israelites shrunk back in fear. Because unbelief and fear filled their hearts

they couldn’t possess what God promised them.

The Israelites couldn’t move ahead because they didn’t have faith. Instead, they were pushed back because

of their unbelief. And that’s what unbelief and fear will do if you entertain them. They will push you back when

you are supposed to move forward.

“Then the Amalekites came down and the Canaanites who dwelt in that hill country and smote the Israelites

and beat them back, even as far as Hormah.”

Numbers 14:45

The Lord doesn’t want us to be pushed back. The enemy wants that. God wants us

to move ahead in faith. It’s faith in God that will allow us to defeat the giants standing in our way.

It’s faith in God that will enable us to tell mountains to get out of the way as we make our way to the place

God has promised.

Because God is with you,

you can move forward confidently no matter how hard the journey is, and no matter

how intimidating the enemy is. Don’t let fear and unbelief dictate your response to God.

Always respond in faith!

Bless you, friends!

Turning potential into something tangible and real.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

Everyone is born with potential. There is not a single person born without it.

How many times have you been told you have potential? I can’t count the amount of times

I have been told so.

But I was thinking about something that can nullify the incredible potential we all have, and that

thing is our beliefs.

Beliefs are stronger than potential

A person with the most incredible potential to be a soccer star will crash and burn if he doesn’t believe he can

be a soccer star. If he believes in his heart he cannot be a great soccer player then that’s that.

There is nothing that is going to change the end result. Only by Yeshua”s grace can the result be changed.

We need to look at the beliefs we have today. They really are powerful. Let’s not treat them lightly.

Potential cannot turn into anything substantial and tangible if the belief is wrong.

This spoke to me deeply.

It is absolutely vital to scrutinize the beliefs we hold about our lives. The Lord has an amazing

purpose for our lives, filled with much potential, and much promise but holding the wrong beliefs

is one of the things that can stop us dead in our tracks.

We need the Lord’s help in this area. He can show us where we are holding the wrong beliefs.

Look at Yeshua’s promises for you. Are the beliefs that you have helping you achieve them or

hindering you?

He wants you to reach your full potential friends. He wants to help you overcome

outdated beliefs. Moses and Gideon are really good examples of this. They had some warped

beliefs about themselves but in His patience and grace Yeshua changed the negative beliefs they

had. Before they could move forward the limiting beliefs they held on to had to be addressed. Those

beliefs had to go. It’s the same for us. Old beliefs that are limiting us need to go, beliefs that are hindering

progress need to go. It’s not an easy task by any means. We need the Lord to help us. He is the One

who can help get over outdated beliefs. He is the One that can help us get new ones….

Blessings to you friends…..

He knows exactly what you need…..

“There, at the Temple Gate, was a man who had been crippled all his life. Every day he was carried to this gate

to beg. He would ask for money from people going into the Temple. The man saw Peter and John going

into the Temple and asked them for money.”

Acts 3:2

The man thought his problem was not having money but his problem was much deeper than that.

Peter and John knew what he really needed. I believe the Lord led them that way at that precise time.

He wanted to help the crippled man so He sent Peter and John.

Yeshua knows exactly what we need even if we don’t. That is why we trust Him with our lives.

We may not know how to articulate the things in our hearts but He can. Trust that He knows.

There is nothing about our lives that surprises Him. He knows it all.

The beggar asked for money but got what he really needed. The Lord knew what he really needed.

“Peter and John looked straight at him and said, “Look at us!” The man looked at them; he thought

they were going to give some money.

But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold, but I do have something else I can give you:

By the power of Jesus Christ from Nazareth – stand up and walk!”

Acts 3:4-6

I am not saying don’t ask for money. What I am trying to show is that the Lord knows exactly what you need

so trust Him completely where your needs are concerned. Depend on His goodness to give you exactly what

you need, when you need it.

You may not know what you really need but He does, so stop panicking about your life.

Pray with that understanding, live with that understanding.

People may not know where you are at in your life right now, and they may not know the cry of your heart

but that’s okay because Yeshua does. He knows where you are exactly. He knows everything that’s in your

heart. He knows exactly what you need for the season you are in!

He loves you so much.

Bless you

What has God put on your heart? Pray and keep praying…..

In one of my last posts of the year (2017) I spoke about YAH wanting us to go to new levels

in life. In this post I want to continue on that thread.

Today I want to talk about a new level in prayer.

There is another level of prayer for us to go to if we so desire. As we advance in the purpose

YAH has for us we need to also grow in our prayer life. Without prayer the chance of failing

increases hundredfold.

This week YAH has been showing me how important prayer is, in regards to the things

He has put on my heart, the dreams and desires He has put in me. He has been challenging

me to bring those things to Him constantly. He cares about the things on my heart, about the

desires I have, the dreams I have.

But there has been disappointment in the past. There have been things I believed Him for that didn’t

come to pass. There are things I am still waiting for and it’s been years waiting…..

I think that’s one of the reasons I have not been as vigilant in bringing ALL my desires, and dreams

CONSISTENTLY to Him.

But this is the thing, He knows everything in my heart intimately and love is what powers what

He does and does not do concerning the things in my heart.

What are some of the things that stop you from consistently bringing your desires and dreams to Him?

The Lord hears our prayers and answers them! Let’s look at a man I have spoken about before, Isaac.

“Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah as wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan Aram,

the sister of Laban the Syrian.

Now Isaac pleaded with the Lord for his wife, because she was barren; and the Lord granted his plea and

Rebekah his wife conceived. “

Genesis 25:20, 21

“Afterward his brother came out, and his hand took hold of Esau’s heel; so his name was called Jacob.

Isaac was sixty years old when she bore them.”

Genesis 25:26

Isaac prayed for Rebekah who was barren and the Lord answered his prayer. That is amazing, but

even more amazing is how long he had been praying for. Over a period of twenty years Isaac prayed

to YAH! He didn’t give up on his desire, he never shelved it. He kept going to YAH with his desire.

He had faith YAH was going to do something or else he wouldn’t continue praying.

(On a side note: Isn’t it interesting that YAH joined Isaac and Rebekah together knowing full well

that Rebekah was barren and also knowing Abraham’s promise would carry on through them??!

Once again, YAH didn’t chose someone who was “able” but used someone

who couldn’t have children to be a vessel of His promise to Abraham about giving him descendants

as countless as the stars!!)

That’s a story for another day, let’s continue with the post………..

What has YAH put on your heart? What are you believing Him for?

Keep bringing your requests to Him in faith. Don’t give up no matter how long its been.

If you have given up then it’s time to get back up. Trust Him again. There is a reason He hasn’t

answered your prayer. Remember, its love that powers every thing He does.

The time is now to go to another level in our prayer life. Look to Him for help. You can’t do this alone.

He wants to help you get there.

We serve a God who hears our prayers and answers them friends. Keep praying and keep hoping.

Bless you

What about the little things…..?

“He who is faithful in a very little [thing] is faithful also in much,

and he who is dishonest and unjust in a very little [thing] is

dishonest and unjust also in much. “

Luke 16:10-12

How much value do you put on the little things you are doing right now?

In other words, how much value do you put on the responsibilities you have

been given right now (no matter how small) as you pursue the grand dreams YAH

has put in your heart?

The things we are doing now that we think are insignificant and small play a very

big role in the scope of our purpose and calling.

As I read Luke 16:10-12 I saw something that I don’t think I fully grasped before.

He who is faithful in a very little thing IS faithful also in much [emphasis mine]

I never fully grasped that before. This scripture is not only saying I will be given

more because I am faithful with the very little but it’s saying, he is who is faithful

with very little IS faithful with much!

We need to take the little things we are responsible over more seriously.

You will be faithful with the big things only if you are faithful with the little

things!

What you do with the very little things determines everything!

And that is why you need to be faithful with the little things YAH puts in your hands.

Since reading that verse I have been looking at the things I am struggling to be faithful in.

If I remain unfaithful the word is clear,

“and he who is dishonest and unjust in a very little [thing] is dishonest and unjust also

in much”

You may think what you do now doesn’t matter but it does matter. It has an impact on your

purpose. If you are reckless and irresponsible now, that means you will be reckless and

irresponsible with the big things. Those attitudes won’t automatically go away because you have

been given more responsibility. You need to look at those things that are stopping you from being

faithful and work on them. Bring them before YAH and allow Him to work on you.

We need to change the way we look at what we are doing. It is important. Don’t disregard

the responsibilities you have in this time.

Always remember that if you are faithful with the little things you ARE faithful with the big things!

Bless you

On paper……

On paper I am not supposed to be where I am today. It doesn’t

make sense.

On paper, it tells of a totally different life than the one I am living now.

I am not supposed to be here.

But here I am and it wasn’t any of my doing!

So today I was thinking about all the bills that have to be paid,

and all the places I am yet to travel to, and all the other things that

require money and once again, on paper I won’t be able to do all

that I want to do. My salary is not going to make all that happen.

So on paper my life is comprised of paying bills and keeping my head

above water! But as look back at the good things that have happened to me

I see how my salary has never been enough. In fact, my salary had very

little say in the things that have happened to me and for me!

It was YAH all along! Everything good that has happened to me and I mean

everything is because of YAH’s grace and mercy on my life.

It all happened because He is good and because He loves me!

So it may seem like it’s bad on paper right now but that is not a true

reflection of my life. I serve a God who is great and mighty!

Let me share a few scriptures with you,

“Then came the word of the Lord to Jeremiah, saying,

Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh;

is there anything too hard for Me?”

Jeremiah 32:26, 27

“Ask of Me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance,

and the ends of the earth for your possession.”

Psalm 2:8

“Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count

the stars if you are able to number them.”And He said to him, “So shall your descendants

be.”

Genesis 15:5

“Jesus replied, “truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt,

not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say

to this mountain, “Go, throw yourself into the sea, and it will be done.”

Matthew 21:21

The point is this, let’s trust YAH for the desires He has put in our hearts.

Let’s call to Him to help us with every problem in our lives.

Don’t let your salary determine what you can or can’t do.

Don’t let it determine what you can or can’t have.

The God of the universe has so much in store for you so don’t

let what’s on paper make you down size your dream.

Everything YAH has in store for you far exceeds the figure on your

payslip. Look to Him instead. He will open doors your salary can’t.

What’s on paper is not a true reflection of the amazing things YAH has

in store for you. Don’t settle for a life the paper creates.

What’s on the paper is so limiting. It closes the door to ALL that

YAH has for us.

As I close know there is more in store for you.

But to experience the more you need to trust YAH.

Don’t go by what’s on paper…….

Bless you friends!

How does God deal with our shortcomings?

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

“For He knows our frame, He [earnestly] remembers and imprints [on His heart] that

we are dust. “

Psalms 103:14

God is not a task master. He isn’t looming over us with a stick waiting for us to

trip up so He can inflict punishment.

Like the word says, “He knows our frame, He [earnestly] remembers and imprints [on

His heart] that we are dust.”

He knows we are weak. He knows we are not smart enough.

He knows how fragile we are.

But what happens is that we forget God knows we are dust and we crush

ourselves when we fall. We think our sin catches Him off guard but it doesn’t.

He knows our weaknesses and struggles.

The word is clear about how we should look at our weaknesses,

“Three times I called upon the Lord and besought [Him] about this  and begged

that it might depart from me;

But He said to me, My grace  (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough

for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully];

for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show

themselves most effective in [your] weakness.

Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that

the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over

and dwell) upon me!

2 Corinthians 12:9

God knows our frame so like Paul we need to embrace our weaknesses.

Like Paul we need to gladly glory in our weaknesses and infirmities.

God’s power and strength are made perfect in our weaknesses.

So as I end this post remember that God knows our frame, He

knows we are dust. We don’t have to put on a facade for Him.

He is not impressed with our show of strength. He wants to be

our strength, period!

Bless you

In her rejection she met Jesus…….

rejected

What a week and weekend it’s been. My church’s annual Prayer

Conference has just ended and what a conference it was!

The word I heard was rich and truly life changing. With that said

I want to share one of the messages that resonated within me.

There were a few that stood out so I thought this was where I

should start from.

The speaker was a Hebrew scholar and he shared a story we all

know. He spoke about the woman Jesus met at the well, a story

we are all acquainted with I hope! (John 4)

The speaker cleared up some misconceptions about the Samaritan

women we have been taught.

After he spoke I went online to find out if what he said was true and

it was.

This post is inspired by the message I heard.

When I verified a lot of what he said I knew I had to write what he

revealed to us.

As I start I want to go over a few things we have been told about

the Samaritan woman at the well.

  • She was an immoral woman as she was married five times and the man she was currently living with was not her husband!

“At this Jesus said to her, Go, call your husband and come

back here.

The woman answered, I have no husband. Jesus said to her,

you have spoken truly in saying, I have no husband.

For you have had five husbands, and the man you are now

living with is not your husband.

In this you have spoken truly. “

John 4:16 – 18

  • In Jesus time women would go to the well towards the evening but the Samaritan woman went to draw water at noon.     (John 4:6)

She was trying to avoid the other women and that seems to confirm

the story that she was immoral.

Now that I have stated the popular assumptions let’s get into

the truth.

Let’s start with the statement about the Samaritan woman being

immoral.

  • In Jesus time women could not divorce their husbands! Yes you heard that right, they “could not” divorce their husbands.

The men were the only ones who could divorce their wives. There

is a lot of information on the internet backing that up if you have

time to search for it.

Read this!

  • The penalty for adultery and so on in Jesus time was death so there was no way the Samaritan woman would be allowed to live if she really slept with five different men                       (read Leviticus 20:10)

The only way the Samaritan woman could have been married

five times was if she was divorced all those previous times!!!

When the speaker shared this, my heart broke for her.

This story was a story of rejection. The Samaritan woman had

been divorced five times.

She had been rejected five times.

If she wasn’t an adulterer why did she avoid the women by going

to draw water at the well at noon?

The speaker suggested she might have been barren which was

probably why she was avoiding the women and why she was

divorced so many times.

There was a chance she was ridiculed because of that. The word

doesn’t talk about the women being barren so I suggest you do your

own investigations to verify that.

So here we have a Samaritan women who had been divorced five

times and had been rejected by the women in the

community. She may have been barren which means she could

of felt rejected by God.

When she met Jesus, He knew her rejection. But instead of rejecting

her He spoke to her.

He didn’t reject her but spoke to her! He accepted her even though

she was a Samaritan.

“The Samaritan woman said to Him, How is it that You, being

a Jew, ask me, a Samaritan [and] a woman, for a drink?- For

the Jews have nothing to do with the Samaritans-“

John 4:9

I love this story because the Samaritan woman experienced

rejection but Jesus welcomed her. He didn’t reject her!

He wanted to save her and did just that.

We can take comfort in knowing He won’t reject us!

Man will reject us but not Jesus!

He loves us so much!

As I read the story of the Samaritan woman I can identify with her

rejection.

My life was ridded with rejection from friends, family and people I

looked up to.

That rejection damaged me growing up.

It was only by Yeshua’s grace that I was set free of rejection.

You might be feeling rejected today but know that Jesus loves

you and accepts you!

He has not rejected you!

Man WILL reject you but not Jesus. He loves you and wants to take

away the rejection you are living with.

Like the Samaritan woman Jesus loves you!

Be encouraged friends!

The true life story of the Samaritan woman is one of my favorite

stories now!!!  🙂

Bless you friends!

The answer to the chaos around us…..

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

peace

“Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath

to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you.

Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid

[Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed;

and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated

and cowardly and unsettled.]

John 14:27 (emphasis mine)

It’s a choice to walk in peace.

When things get crazy you have a choice to be at peace or lose

your mind.

The word is very clear about this,

“Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be

afraid.

When things are not going your way do not let your hearts

be troubled.

It’s not easy staying in peace but Jesus wants us to fight for it.

Refuse to succumb to anxious thoughts.

Refuse to panic and fret.

Choose peace.

“Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed;

and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated

and cowardly and unsettled. “

There is so much opportunity to lose our peace today.

Put on the news, read the papers, talk to people and you will

see it as clear as day.

But Jesus goes against the grain. He doesn’t advocate us

succumbing to fear. Instead He tells us to stay in peace.

He encourages us to walk in the peace He has given us.

Today the word is simple, stay in peace no matter what!

When fear, terror, confusion, and anxiety come, stay in peace.

Easier said than done I know.

But we are not alone. The Holy Spirit will help us in our

weaknesses.

The bad news will keep coming but despite being surrounded

by such darkness hold on to peace.

We can’t afford to live without peace.

Peace is found in His word, it’s found in prayer as you

commune with Him.

Let’s choose peace today!
