The Enemy’s Plan For You, Will Be Defeated.

What happens to the enemy’s plans for us?

Because truth be told, he has plans to take us out.

He doesn’t want us to succeed but there is good news for us in the Word of God.

The bible has the real truth. The enemy’s plans will not succeed over us.

Take David for instance. He had to flee from Absalom for a season and to make matters worse

his counselor Ahithophel had sided with Absalom which was really bad news for David.

Ahithophel was David’s trusted advisor. He was wise and knew David really well, the way

he worked, his family, how he thought and so much more. He was not the guy to go up

against.

Anyway, he had a plan to eliminate David and went to Absalom to tell him his plan.

Everyone loved his plan but before it could be green lit they called Hushai (another of David’s

counsellors) to hear what his plan would be. Earlier on in the story, David sent him back

in the hope to overthrow the counsel of Ahithophel.

So when they called Hushai they asked him what his plan would be and they loved his plan.

They thought it was better than Ahithophel’s plan. So they decided to go with his plan.

And this is the lesson I want to get across.

Ahithophel’s plan to eliminate David was better than Hushai’s. The word tells us so.

“Then Absalom and all the men of Israel said, “Hushai’s advice is better than Ahithophel’s.

For the Lord had determined to defeat the counsel of Ahithophel, which really was the better

plan, so that he could bring disaster on Absalom!”

2 Samuel 17:14, 15

So if Absalom and his men had listened to Ahithophel’s counsel they would have managed to

destroy David and his men BUT….

Because God was with David, He overthrew the counsel of Ahithophel. David would not be eliminated

by the enemy’s plan because God was watching over him and protecting him.

And like David, God will frustrate and stop the enemy’s plan for you. His plans will not succeed

over you.

No weapon formed against you will prosper the word tells us.

So don’t fear when the enemy rises against you to destroy you. The Lord will never allow the enemy

to be victorious over you and that is good news!

So trust God no matter how intense the battle gets because He is protecting you and watching over you.

No plan of the enemy will succeed over you.

Blessings to you.

Always on God’s mind.

“Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgot him.”

Genesis 40:23

People will forget us at times but I want to remind you that God will never forget you.

Even though the butler forgot Joseph, God hadn’t forgotten him.

“And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed:”

Genesis 41:1-7

Two years was a long time to wait but it was important for Joseph.

Imagine if he got out when the butler was released two years earlier.

Pharaoh wouldn’t have had his dreams yet so who knows what Joseph would have done with his life back then. He definitely wouldn’t have been able to get an audience with Pharaoh.

But waiting two years was what was needed because that was when the next chapter of God’s plan for his life began. So God had not forgotten him and God will not forget you too. Let me rephrase that, He will never forget you.

You are always on His mind.

Be confident in Him knowing He is working in your life.

Bless you

The promise of God on your life under attack…

“And [that same] following night the Lord stood beside Paul and said, Take courage, Paul,

for as you have borne faithful witness concerning Me at Jerusalem, so you, must also bear

witness at Rome.

Now when daylight came, the Jews formed a plot and bound themselves by an oath and

under a curse neither to eat nor drink till they had done away with Paul.

They were more than forty [men of them], who formed this conspiracy [swearing together this oath

and curse].”

Acts 23:11-13

I know I have shared on this verse before but this week God has been speaking to me afresh concerning

this passage of scripture.

Paul had a clear word from God about where he was going. But we see that the very next day

an attack was launched against Paul and that is what I want to speak about.

The enemy is not afraid to attack the word God has spoken to you. The enemy wants to destroy the

work God has started in you. he doesn’t want you getting to the place God has planned for you.

he has declared war on you, on the calling God has on your life.

After reading Paul’s story I was shown how the enemy was attacking the word of God given to me.

When it comes to finances let’s just my faith has been nonexistent.

I would worry about how my needs would be met and how I would survive the month but God began

to help me through a group of men I am accountable to. He gave me scriptures to stand on and declare

and for a season I was energized and full of faith but somewhere down the line that stopped.

I started falling back into worry and fear and that is when God showed me what was happening through

the story of Paul. The enemy was attacking the word God had given me and I didn’t even realize it.

I will not let the enemy steal the word God has given me anymore and not just in the area of finances but every

area of my life. He has promised me health, long life, fruitful relationships, restoration, purpose realized

and so much more.

I don’t know where you are at today but know that the enemy is attacking the word God has given you.

“And he [satan] said to the woman, Can it really be that God has said, You shall not eat from every

tree of the garden?”

Genesis 3:1

satan had the audacity to challenge the word Eve was given.

he is trying to steal the word God has given

you.

Don’t let him steal it. The word God has given you is to carry you and protect

you.  It is to act as a way out of the storm you are in. It’s your light in the darkness.

Without the word you are left vulnerable, hopeless, lost and defeated. The enemy knows this.

The way to stop the enemy from stealing the word God has given you is by reading His word and

declaring it! Don’t stop declaring and reading the word no matter how bad it gets, no matter how hopeless

it appears to be.  That’s the mistake I made. I stopped declaring and the enemy took full advantage.

God’s word over you will come to pass. It will accomplish what it was meant to do and that is to

nullify the lies of the enemy, to break the chains you are bound by. The word will release you into all

of what God has destined you for. There is so much in store for you. It’s time to walk into it.

Take a stand against the enemy. God is with you.

Bless you, friends!

Move ahead in faith…

“And the people grumbled and deplored their hardships, which was evil in the ears

of the Lord, and when the Lord heard it, His anger was kindled; and the fire of the

Lord burned among them and devoured those in the outlying parts of the camp.”

Numbers 11:1, 2

The Lord was with the Israelites and expected them to respond in faith but that’s not what happened.

Instead of trusting Him when things got really difficult they responded in unbelief and fear and that was evil

in the eyes of the Lord.

Possessing the land of Canaan was an impossible task. Giants resided there.

But no matter how impossible the task was the Lord wanted His people to trust Him. He wanted them

to be confident in His power, strength, and faithfulness.

Sadly, that never happened. The Israelites shrunk back in fear. Because unbelief and fear filled their hearts

they couldn’t possess what God promised them.

The Israelites couldn’t move ahead because they didn’t have faith. Instead, they were pushed back because

of their unbelief. And that’s what unbelief and fear will do if you entertain them. They will push you back when

you are supposed to move forward.

“Then the Amalekites came down and the Canaanites who dwelt in that hill country and smote the Israelites

and beat them back, even as far as Hormah.”

Numbers 14:45

The Lord doesn’t want us to be pushed back. The enemy wants that. God wants us

to move ahead in faith. It’s faith in God that will allow us to defeat the giants standing in our way.

It’s faith in God that will enable us to tell mountains to get out of the way as we make our way to the place

God has promised.

Because God is with you,

you can move forward confidently no matter how hard the journey is, and no matter

how intimidating the enemy is. Don’t let fear and unbelief dictate your response to God.

Always respond in faith!

Bless you, friends!

The “bus stop”.

I don’t believe YAH wants us to ever settle in one place. We are on a journey and the destination

is heaven. But something does happen in this life that makes us lose our focus. It may be disappointment,

pain, really good times and the list goes on….

There are a variety of reasons we lose our focus and stop moving.

YAh showed me something the other day. A bus stop came to mind and he showed me how I had gotten

comfortable there because as you know,

you can never really set up camp at a bus stop. A bus stop is not really a destination in itself.

A bus stop accommodates people who are going somewhere and people who are coming from

somewhere but not an actual destination and that’s the place I got comfortable at. I can’t explain it

but I just thought that was the destination but I was so wrong. The settling was so subtle……if it wasn’t

for the Lord I would never have snapped out of it.

I got comfortable. I confused the place I am at as the destination when all it is, is a

bus stop. You cannot have a life at a but stop. It was never intended for that.

A bus stop helps you get to where you are really going and on this journey we are on there will be many

“bus stops”. But don’t mistake them for destinations because they are not.

So the goal is to always keep moving in YAH.

There is so much more journeying to be done. Don’t lose focus of where you are going.

Don’t get so comfortable at the bus stop that you think it’s the destination.

Something like that happened in the word. Let’s take a look at it,

“That evening at sundown they brought to him all who were sick or oppressed by demons. And the whole

city was gathered together at the door.”

“And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, He departed and went out to a desolate place,

and there He prayed.

And Simon and those who were with Him searched for Him and they found Him and said to Him, “everyone

is looking for you.”

And He said to them, “Let us go on to the next towns, that I may preach there also, for that is why I came out.”

Mark 1:32-39

The disciples got it wrong. They thought they had arrived at their destination. Yeshua could have set up camp

there but He didn’t. He knew what He was called to do and because He knew, He also knew He hadn’t arrived

at His destination.

We can learn something from that story. We need to keep moving in what YAH has called us to do. You don’t

have to see the whole picture to move, you only need to move when He says move.

I don’t want to set up camp at the bus stop. The next bus is rolling in to take me to my destination but

there are many “bus stops” along the way. I need to constantly be aware of where I am and understand

the Lord is directing and guiding me.

What about you? Have you gotten comfortable at the “bus stop”?

Do you have an idea of Yeshua’s plan for your life?

Bless you friends

Jars of clay!

I am in awe how God has

made a decision to work with broken vessels!

That’s right, He has made a conscious and deliberate decision

to work with and through us.

He knows we are not perfect, He knows we will fail, He knows

we will mess up, He knows we will rebel and yet He still uses us!

It’s amazing to think that God would choose us as flawed as we

are and work with us.

It’s because of Him we are something.

He calls the foolish things of this world to confound the wise.

That’s the way He works.

We are nothing on our own. Our lives make sense when God is

added to it. We don’t glory in our strength but in God’s.

As you go through your day today I want you to remember that God

has chosen you despite your weaknesses.

You don’t have to perfect to be used by Him.

He created you and knows everything about you.

Lean on His strength and not on yours.

Blessings to you today!

What does your life look like in God’s eyes??

“And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him and said to him,

the Lord is with you, you mighty man of [fearless] courage.”

Judges 6:12

At that precise moment we know Gideon didn’t see himself

as a mighty man of valor. In fact he didn’t see much for

himself.

“Gideon said to Him, Oh Lord, how can I deliver Israel?

Behold, my clan is the poorest in Manasseh, and I am the

least in my father’s house. “

Judges 6:15

How did Gideon get to that conclusion?

Someone told him of course!

It may have been his parents or his friends or neighbors but

whatever the case he didn’t see much for his life. He saw

himself as the least.

He may of expected nothing in his life but that didn’t change

the truth that God saw more….

He saw so much more for Gideon and He declared it……!

We may see a partial picture of our lives but God sees a full

one!

We need God’s help to keep seeing more.

There are so many things on a daily basis that push us to

doubt God’s plan for our lives.

The circumstances around us try to force us to believe

there is no plan, that this is how it will always be but it’s all a

lie!

“And He said, Hagar, Sarai’s maid, where did you come from,

and where are you intending to go?

And she said, I am running away from my mistress Sarai.

The Angel of the Lord said to her, Go back to your mistress

and [humbly] submit to her control.

Also the Angel of the Lord said to her, I will multiply your

descendants exceedingly, so that they shall not be numbered

for multitude. “

Genesis 16:8-13

Hagar couldn’t take it anymore. She had to run away from her

household because Sarai dealt severely with her. She was at the

end of her rope. Did she see all that God had for her at that

moment? I don’t think so.

All she wanted was relief from the abuse.

But in such adverse circumstances God had a plan for her

and her family.

She couldn’t see it though. That is why she ran away!

The strategy has not changed. The enemy wants to discourage us.

He wants us to lose hope.

He wants us to give up on our calling.

But we have a chance friends. God is with us.

We need to hang on to what He says about us.

When He looks at our lives He sees the more He intended

for us. What we need to do is see it too. We need His help.

When we are discouraged, or we want to give up remember

there is more. God has so much more in store for us.

The enemy must not win!

Put your faith in the Lord.

He will bring to pass everything He has promised you.

Don’t throw in the towel.

Your life will turn around because God is with you.

That is my encouragement to you friends.

Bless you!

He was with her!!!!!

(This is a special post in honor of Women’s Day.)

In the last week of January we had a men’s conference. We

had a great time of worship and fellowship. As great as that was

that is not what stood out for me. The word our pastor preached

really drove home the importance of the mission and assignment

God has given us men. It was a message that challenged me to

the core. As men we have a huge responsibility that must not be

taken lightly. (don’t worry ladies, it will all make sense in a bit) !!

I would like to share a very familiar passage of scripture:

“When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food

and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom,

she took some and ate it.

She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.”

Genesis 3:6

Did you see that? I certainly didn’t the first time I was shown.

Eve took a bite of the fruit (not an apple as some people think)

then gave it to Adam who was with her…..

Adam was with her when Eve was being tempted!!!

Why didn’t he stop the enemy?? Who knows! Maybe he froze,

maybe he didn’t know what to do but the fact remains, he was

supposed to protect Eve and he didn’t. Things would of been

much different if he did so!

And look at how crafty the enemy was. he knew God’s order

and protocol. He knew man was the head, the cover but

instead of attacking him, he went to Eve!

Let me pause here for a bit and say this, men and women are

equal in value. Man is not better than woman.

But what the enemy has done is, he has got us to focus on the

wrong thing. The issue is not if women can do what men can

do and who is better at everything. For centuries men and

women have been trying to prove who is better. From the

time we start walking we are pitted against each other.

What an embarrasement for a guy if a girl beats him!

I would love to tell you how I was beaten by a girl in a chilli

eating competition but I will have to put that on hold!

I never lived that down for quite a while especially when I

considered myself the chilli master!   🙂    Anyway………..

If we have been thinking like that then we have been deceived. The

real issue is about what God had in mind when He created man and

women because He had a clear idea.

God made man and women in His image and we all know that

there is no part of God that is weak or useless, but as men we

have this idea that women are weak, and that they are meant

to be slaves and do our every bidding. They are not encouraged to

pursue the call of God on their lives and so on…

God has a purpose for men and He has a purpose for women!

God made man to be the head. To lead their family, to guide

them and protect.

This is what God says about His purpose for women,

“Now the Lord God said, It is not good (sufficent, satisfactory)

that the man should be alone;

I will make him a helper meet (suitable, adapted, complementary)

for him.

Genesis 2:18

This verse has been misundertood so much but we really need

to take the time to study it and even ask God to show us what

He intended in the very beginning. God didn’t create her to be

your own personal slave! (are you kidding me??)

There is so much more, and remember, women are a very

specific expression of God! To understand Him better, He made

women!

Let’s keep moving…..

When we read Genesis 3 again it’s interesting to note that

when Eve took a bite of the fruit, nothing happened!

When the women saw that the fruit of the tree was good

for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining

wisdom, she took some and ate it.

It’s only when she gave the fruit to Adam and he took a bite that

their eyes were opened and they realized they were naked.

“She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and

he ate it.

Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized

they were naked;

Genesis 3:6, 7

Could all of this been exactly what the enemy had planned?

Did he use Eve to get to Adam?

Was that his plan, to take the man out?

It’s an interesting thought…….

But look at what happens after that,

“Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord

God as He was walking in the garden in the cool of the day,

and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

But the Lord called to the man, “Where are you?”

Genesis 3:8

Firstly, God knew exactly what happened. He was not clueless!

What’s interesting though is that He called Adam! God held him

responsible for what happened.

We see God talking to Adam from verse 9 till verse 12.

Man as the head was responsible but Adam still blamed Eve

who in turn blamed the snake. It’s important to note that God

confronted Adam first!

So what is the take home here?

Women, God gave you a purpose. Don’t let anyone dimish your

worth because of their lack of understanding. Pursue all that

God has called you to do whatever that may be.

Men, we are to lead, guide and protect. In marriage we must

make sure we are doing that. We are responsible for how we lead

our families.

Single men, we are to learn what it means to lead, guide and

protect the way God planned.

The last point is this, our value is the same. No gender is

better but when it comes to function we are very different.

We need to understand that does not make us less of a person.

We must embrace our God given differences and honor each other!

God bless you friends and Happy belated Women’s day!

A new year…….

Hi friends!!!!

It’s good to be back! I hope the year has started well for you

and I hope you are expecting some big things to happen to you

and for you! I have been “AWOL” because our church goes on

a Daniel fast at the start of every year.

But this year my pastor challenged

us to stop social “media-ring” during the fast…..   🙂   So I

decided to stop posting on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter but

I realised if I was to stay off those social media sites I couldn’t

post anything on wordpress because my posts would appear on

those sites and I would be unable to respond for three weeks.

That is why I haven’t written anything until now.

I was glad I was still able to follow you guys though. I was

truly blessed by your posts…..

I am really excited about what God has in store for me this

year. In 2015 (December) I went to God with my 2016 calender

and told Him to fill it. I have plans for this year but I am still

limited in my thinking and that is why I asked Him to fill it.

He is great and mighty and not bound by what I am bound

by. He is not limited by what I am limited by and that is why

I am excited about this year. He is the One who is in control and

He is the One who is directing my steps.

I want to share a scripture that has really ministered to me

in this new year. I came across it as I read Brian Houston’s new

book Live, Love, Lead!

Dear, dear Corinthians, I can’t tell you how much I long for you

to enter this wide-open, spacious life. We didn’t fence you in.

The smallness you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren’t

small, but you’re living them in a small way. I’m speaking as

plainly as I can and with great affection.

Open up your lives. Live openly and expansively!

2 Corinthians 6: 11-13

I love this verse. There is a “wide-open, spacious life”

God has planned for me…..for us!

And we can’t allow small thinking and small dreams to hinder

the wide-open, spacious life God has for us!

The truth is this, God has a wide-open, spacious life for you. Don’t

believe anyone who says otherwise. His intension is to bless your

life. It’s not because you did something right. It’s not because

of anything you have done. It’s all Him! It’s all Him friends!

It’s because He loves us that He blesses us.

My life is not small! God has so much more in store for me than

I have imagined for myself and the same is true for you!

He has more of Himself He wants to reveal.

There is so much He wants to teach.

Like I said, this is going to be a great year!

Have a great day friends…..

A beauty to unveil……

He has made everything beautiful in its time.

He has also set eternity in the human heart;

yet no one can fathom what God has done from

beginning to end.

Ecclesiastes 3:11

“He has made everything beautiful in its time”

Merry Christmas to you all. I hope you had

an amazing holiday so far!   🙂

Let’s get started…..

This scripture has really ministered

to me in this season. There are a lot of things I am

waiting on God for and at times I get frustrated, I

get discouraged, I lose sight of things but this verse

brought a lot of things into context. In 2016 I have

resolved to wait on God. There is a reason He wants

me to wait….let me not get ahead of myself. Let me

explain what I am taking about.

The world has conditioned us to think “instant”but God

teaches us to wait. I want you to see

there is a “time” that has to pass as you wait on God. When

you wait on God you put yourself in a position to see His

beauty unravel in your life.

We are too impatient at times.

Let’s look at a passage of scripture for a moment,

“He sent a man before them, Joseph, who was sold as

a slave.

His feet they hurt with shackles;

He was put in chains of iron,

Until the time that his word [of

prophecy regarding his brothers]

came true,

The word of the Lord tested and refined

him.

Psalm 105:19

This passage of scripture in my opinion perfectly

illustrates what I am trying to say.

God gave Joseph a glimpse into his future but

there was a “time” that had to pass. Was it easy,

heck no. He was sold as a slave to a foreign land to a

foreign people. He was in chains and shackles and it

was painful. In the time of waiting he was being refined.

The word tested him. Waiting is never easy friends.

But we see something amazing in the midst of his trials.

God was making something beautiful. At first it seemed

like there was only ugliness but God had a plan. He was

creating something beautiful of his life. Joseph had to wait on God.

Was he confused, most probably, but he continued to trust

in God.

Because God loved Joseph he made him wait!

Just because something hasn’t come to pass in our lives

doesn’t mean God has abandoned us even though at

times it feels like it. Like Joseph, God makes us wait

because He loves us. He makes us wait because He

wants to give us His very best!

Making us wait is His way of showing His love for us.

Waiting is one of the processes God uses to bless us.

As I have waited on God I feel like my love and trust in

Him have been tested to the core. There is nothing like

waiting on God to reveal where your faith and heart are at.

When I got that revelation, I saw impatience for what

it really is.

Impatience stifles God’s beauty in our lives.

If we are impatient we are saying we don’t trust Him.

We must stop being impatient. We must learn to wait

on God.

The way God sees waiting and the way we see waiting

are very different. We must see waiting as an expression

of love, a very real love that God has for us.

I want to see His beauty in my life and even though it’s

hard I will wait on God. I don’t want to disqulaify myself

from His goodness because of impatience. He loves me

and that is why He makes me wait.

My life is in His hands. I have waited for a long time

already but if He is calling me to wait even more

then I will do it because I trust Him!

My encouragement to you friend is, keep on waiting.

God loves you so much and has only the best for you.

Don’t give up or let up. Wait on the Lord. He will come

through on His promise. He will not let you down. He is

making something beautiful in your life.

Will you wait?
