There Is Still Hope.

I was on YouTube this week and came across a song. I was so encouraged by the message.

It talked about not letting go of hope and encouraged us to keep our faith in God. That’s

what I got from listening to it anyway and that is what motivated this post.

I want to remind you to keep hoping in God. No matter how difficult things get, God is

with you. There is a story that comes to mind that I would like to share.

In the first book of Kings in chapter seventeen verse ten we are introduced to a widow at Zarapheth.

She is gathering sticks to make her last meal so she and her son can eat and die. Pretty grim right.

Things are really bad for her. But Elijah the prophet comes along and asks the woman to get him

some water. As she goes to get the water, he tells her to also give him some food to eat.

She tells Elijah that she has been preparing the last meal so that her son and her would eat then die.

But Elijah tells her to give him something to eat because, God would provide for her until the rains

came down since they were in a famine.

So the woman does what Elijah says and God provides for the woman and her family for many days.

The woman was in a desperate situation but God stepped in and saved her.

With God we have hope, no matter bad the situation is.

Don’t lose heart and don’t let go of hope.

The Lord is with you and will save you from every trouble

that comes your way. And that’s my encouragement to you friends.

Blessings to you.

And here is the song I listened to:

You are not alone in this.

“So one night the king of Aram sent a great army with many chariots and horses to surround the city. When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere. “Oh, sir, what will we do now?” the young man cried to Elisha.”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭6:14-15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Elisha’s servant saw the enemy horde and got afraid. He thought they were alone against the enemy but not Elisha. He knew he was not alone and he prayed that his servant would see the truth. (2 Kings 6:17)

You are not alone in this. The Lord is with you. The challenges and trials may seem too much for you but you have Someone to turn to. As the enemy seems unbeatable and victorious there is a truth you can hold on to,

““Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!””

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭6:16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Don’t try to go at it alone. You can ask for help because He is right by your side.

On another note, remember to pre-order your copy of “Rise Above Fear” which is my very first book!

It will be released on the 19th of September so I am very excited about that.

Tear down the old perceptions given to you.

God had amazing plans for David’s life but unfortunately no one saw the amazing potential God put in him.

When Samuel visited his family to choose a king, his father literally forgot about him! Samuel had to press Jesse if there was anyone else! Crazy right.

His brothers didn’t see a thing.

(1 Samuel‬ ‭17:28‬)

And then David was brought before king Saul because of the way he spoke about Goliath. He was fearless and courageous. But even then, king Saul didn’t see what God saw.

“And Saul said to David, You are not able to go to fight against this Philistine. You are only an adolescent, and he has been a warrior from his youth.”

‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭17:33‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

“You are not able to go to fight”

He didn’t even know David and what he had gone through till that point. But he told David, he couldn’t fight the giant!

Man saw nothing when they looked at David but God saw a mighty warrior and that meant everything.

I touched on a bit of this in my previous post, we need to be careful who we allow to define who we are. God is the true source and He knows who we really are.

You need to break free of words, ideas and other people’s perceptions of who you are that have kept you living below your true potential. It’s clear from David’s story that no man really knows your true potential. They may have an idea but they don’t know the full potential God has put in you.

But breaking free can only be done by the power of God. You need the Holy Spirit to come in and reveal the true picture of who God created you to be and He will if you ask Him.

As you take the step be assured the Lord is with you. He desperately wants you to know who you really are. He wants you to know and experience the amazing things He planned for you more than you will ever know.

So make the decision today!

Bless you friends!
