Do you really believe Jesus can do the impossible in your life?

THOUGHT OF THE DAY
“And it has thrown him both into fire and water, intending to kill him. But if You can do
anything do have pity on us and help us.
And Jesus said, [You say to Me], If You can do anything? [Why,] all things can be (are possible)
to him who believes!”
Mark 9:22, 23
The father wanted his son to be healed but wasn’t too sure if Yeshua could do it. His statement
would have been totally understandable if he was asking anybody else but he wasn’t speaking
to just anyone. He was speaking to Yeshua.
Yeshua is more than able to answer our prayers.
There is nothing too big for Him to handle.
We don’t need to ever doubt His ability because He is able.
No matter what you facing today He will help you. There is nothing
that can overwhelm Him or overpower Him.
“And Jesus said, [You say to Me] If You can do anything? [Why,] all things can be (are possible)
to him who believes!”
There is no limit to what Yeshua can do in our lives but it’s clear from this story that we can put
a limit to what we believe.
So let me rephrase what Yeshua was really saying to the father in that passage of scripture.
“Why do you doubt what I can do? I am more than able to heal your son and more if you believe
in Me. In fact, there is no limit to what I can do for you if you put your faith in Me so believe!.”
Don’t entertain doubts and fears. Bring them to Him. Ask Him to help you when your faith fails.
I was so challenged as I read this scripture because there is so much I am trusting the Lord for
but at times I KNOW I limit Him. I limit Him when I doubt Him,when  I speak negatively but like
the father cried out, I want Him to help me with my unbelief.
He wants to help us where we are weak and when we weak. We just have to ask.
Trust Him for everything in your life!
Bless you friends…..

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, and to yearn for Him with all their heart’s desire and with all their soul; (‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭15‬:‭12‬ AMP)

I think you will agree with me that we are living in crazy times.

As the world has got crazier the church is been tested like crazy

and some of them are buckling under the pressure. What we

believe is being tested like crazy and if we are not rooted in

the right thing we will surely be blown away!

The scripture I shared has been on my heart for some time

now. It was during the time of King Asa that the people made

a covenant to seek the Lord with everything in them.

This is a call to you, to me, to everyone else! As the world

has lost it’s mind we need to make a decision.

This is a simple call:

To make a covenant to seek the Lord and to yearn for Him

with all of our heart’s desire and with all of our soul!

We are living in a time that is demanding us to choose a side.

For those who choose to wait on the sidelines know this:

Not choosing a side is actually choosing. You will be swept

away with everything else……

And all Judah rejoiced at the oath, for they had sworn with all their heart and sought Him [yearning for Him] with their whole desire, and He was found by them. And the Lord gave them rest and peace round about. (‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭15‬:‭15‬ AMP)

As they sought the Lord, they found Him!!

Our seeking will not be in vain. As we seek Him with our everything

we will find Him!!!

He will reveal Himself to us.

In the craziness happening around us we need God more than ever!

Without Him we are powerless and defeated…..

Will  you seek Him with your everything?

Does God really understand what we go through???

As a father has compassion on His children, so the

Lord has compassion on those who fear Him;

for He knows how we are formed, He remembers that

we are dust.

Psalm 103:13, 14

What a thought….!!!!

HE KNOWS HOW WE ARE FORMED!

That is an amazing thought. I know He created me but I

was hit anew by what this scripture was saying.

Yes, it is talking about how fragile we are but what does that

mean for other areas of our lives? What does that mean

when it comes to sin?

God knows how we are formed so He knows why we do what we do.

Sin does not take God by surprise!

As our Creator He knows how we are wired. He knew the

impact Adam’s sin would have on us.

God already knows we are going to sin. He knows what

bothers us.

He knows what we struggle with on a daily basis.

He knows and understands……

Even the deep dark sin that nobody knows about,

the sin WE might not even detect, He knows about

it….!!

Am I then advocating we all sin more????

No, no, no!

He wants us to fight. He doesn’t want us to accept defeat.

We still have a part to play in all of this. Because God

knows how we are created it means He will not abandon

us when we sin.  He will help us fight the giants in our lives.

You can be guaranteed no matter what the sin is you will

receive forgiveness, no matter the sin!

The only sin that is unforgivable is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

Don’t allow guilt and condemnation to take grip in your

life. It’s hard to do but you must fight against it.

The enemy will lie and say your sin is unforgivable but

don’t listen to him. He just wants to separate you

from God. But like I have been telling you,

“God knows how we are formed!” He knows because

He is the One who created us. That is not an excuse

to sin but a reason to depend on His grace and mercy!!

God extends grace to us because He knows how we are

formed……

Please understand what I am saying here.

I am not saying we are now free to sin because He

knows how we are created.

We have a responsibility to live holy but there will

be times we miss the mark.

We will miss the mark by a little at times and at

other times by a lot but because

God knows how we are formed He will do  things like this:

He will not always chide or be contending, neither

will He keep His anger forever or hold a grudge.

He has not dealt with us after our sins nor rewarded

us according to our iniquities.

Psalm 103:9, 10

There is grace because He knows how we are formed.

It’s not time to sit down and relax because God knows

how we are formed. It’s because He knows how

we are formed that we act. He didn’t create laziness,

fear, or complacency.

He created sons and daughters who love Him and despite

their weaknesses seek Him with everything they have.

As I end this post take comfort in the fact that He knows

how you are created.

He understands what you are going through better than

anyone else on earth. Don’t think you are alone because

you are not.

What it means to have a purpose!

Most Christians know God has a plan for their lives.

But when they  are told God has a plan for them, a purpose,

What does that mean? What does that mean for us??

To answer that question I will look at the life of Abraham

the Father of faith!

“The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your

people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.

Genesis 12:1

  • For Abraham, having a purpose meant having to leave

the familiar behind! He didn’t know where he was going but

He trusted God. He took everything he owned and moved!

Could that still apply today? Could God be calling us out of

our comfort zones to a place we have never heard of before,

to a place we have never been to before?

Is he calling us out of the familiar? Is it possible to experience

the new if you haven’t let go of the familiar, if you are in your

comfort zone??

“Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham”!

“Here I am, “he replied.

Then God said, Take your son, your only son, whom you love-

Isaac-and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt

offering on a mountain I will show you.” Genesis 22:1-2

Because Abraham had a purpose God tested him!

He told him he was to sacrifice the one thing he loved more than

anything else – his son! God tested with him with something

he held dear to his heart, his son!

Could it be possible that is our story too? Does God want to make

sure He is first in our lives by testing us?? We say we love God and

He is the most important thing in our lives, but is that the truth???

Only He knows!

After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision:

Do not be afraid, Abram.

I am your Shield,

your very great reward.

But Abram said, Sovereign Lord, what can you give me since I

remain childless and the one who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of

Damascus? And Abram said, You have given me no children;

So a servant in my household will be heir.

Then the word of the Lord came to him: This man will not be

Your heir, but a son who is your flesh and blood will be your heir.

He took him outside and said, Look up at the sky and count the

stars – if indeed you can count them. Then he said to him, so shall

your offspring be.

Abram believed the Lord, and He credited to him as righteousness.

Genesis 15:1-6

Because Abram had a purpose he had to trust God! He had to think

bigger and grander! God’s purpose for our lives is huge but faith

in God is the key. God’s plan for your life will not make sense to

a carnal mind a natural mind! You need faith to see it and accept it!

We know without faith it is impossible to please God. He wants us

trust Him.

Something you need to look out for as you walk in God’s purpose

for your life:

Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children. But she had

an Egyptian slave named Hagar, so she said to Abram, “The Lord

has kept me from having children. Go, sleep with my slave;

perhaps I can build a family through her.”

Abram agreed to what Sarai said.

Genesis 16:1-5

You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see what really happened.

Sarai knew what God had promised her along with Abraham but

what really happened? In Genesis 15 it tells us Abraham believed

God and it was counted to him as righteousness but in chapter 16

we read something different. Sarai suggests to Abram that he

sleep with Hagar and he agrees!  Why would Abram agree to that?

He clearly heard from God!

Did he think God had abandoned him?

Had he lost so much hope that he resorted to trying to make things

happen in his own strength?

Was he tired of waiting on God?

Did he focus on his old aged body and Sarah’s deadened womb and

let his carnal mind take over?

We really don’t know but what we do know is he agreed to go

along with Sarah’s plan! They had lost hope in God and set out

to accomplish God’s plan in their own strength!

They were discouraged and dejected!

There are things God

will allow and take you through to strengthen you. Like I said before,

it is by faith and faith alone you will accomplish God’s purpose for

your life. Yes, you will need to step out and do things but you will

need faith! If Abraham the Father of Faith could lose hope in God

and rely on his own strength what does that mean for us? It means

we have to be humble and admit we can’t do this alone!

God wants you to walk in the purpose He has for you. Don’t be

afraid.

Trust Him to lead you because He knows the way! He made the way!

Everything He does for you is because He loves you! Your purpose is

amazing and glorious! Be bold and confident as you step into it!

When the doubts come……

“If you can do anything, do it. Have a heart and help us!”

Jesus said, “If? There are no ‘ifs’ among believers. Anything can happen.” Mark 9: 22

That is a very bold word from our Lord don’t you think? As bold as it may seem this is what I believe God is saying. The man had asked the disciples to heal his boy but they could not so when Jesus came down the mountain the man must of thought it impossible.

I have to admit and say there are things that I ask God without even thinking twice. I just know He will come through and then there are things that are harder to ask for. But from this whole passage we see this should not be so. We are to trust in God. Mark 11:22 says,

And Jesus replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly]. (Amplified)

When we come to God we must not come doubting. It must be in total trust. But the story continues and we see something very important.

No sooner were the words out of his mouth than the father cried, Then I believe. Help me with my doubts! Mark 9: 24

We want to believe and we do believe but doubts get in the way. What are we supposed to do? The man cried out to the Lord for help. We need help when it comes to our doubts. If you don’t struggle with doubts then bless you……But for those who struggle with it then look to God. There are no “ifs” in God’s vocabulary and there shouldn’t be in ours.

You may be in a place where you think “it’s too much, I can’t ask God for that” or “can He really give me what I have asked for” but know that there are no “ifs” when it comes to God. It’s either, ‘yes’ or ‘no’.

Nothing is too big for God. Bring your requests to Him in total faith and if you struggle with doubts then cry out to him for help. He will help. He wants to help us in our areas of weakness…..God bless

Rolain.

You will not be disappointed…..

Thought of the day.

We really need the word in our lives. It is the main authority or should be the main authority in our lives. With that in mind I would like to share a scripture with you. It’s an amazing scripture and it’s in Psalm 22:4, 5 and it says;

Our fathers trusted in You; they trusted (leaned on, relied on You, and were confident) and You delivered them.                                                                They cried to You and were delivered; they trusted in, leaned on, and confidently relied on You, and were not ashamed or confounded or disappointed.   (Amplified)

I love this scripture because it tells us about who God is. He is our God and He can be trusted-that is a fact! As God came through for our fathers, He will do the same for us. As He delivered them so it is with us. As they trusted in God they were not put to shame or confounded or disappointed so it is with us. Yes they must have had their fair share of trials and challenges and failures but overall they were never put to shame, confounded or disappointed!

The conclusion is this, call on God because He will deliver you!

Trust in God because you will not be ashamed or confounded or disappointed!!!

As our fathers put their faith on the line God responded to their faith, so it will be with us. No matter what you trusting God for please know He will not let you down. He will respond to your faith. As He was faithful to our fathers He will be faithful to us…Amen!!!

I see nations……

Last year I started speaking about how God sees nations when He looks at us. We were not put on this earth just to live for ourselves. The picture, the plan is so much bigger than we could ever imagine! Abraham’s story is an amazing one. In Genesis 17:1 it says,

When Abram was ninety nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, I am the Almighty God; walk and live habitually before Me and be perfect (blameless, wholehearted, complete).

As we read this chapter we see Abram who was 99 years old get an amazing promise. His life seemed like it was over but it was not. He was past the age of bearing children or so it seemed, but it was only the beginning….God was saying things like:

As for Me, behold, My covenant (solemn pledge) is with you, and you shall be the father of many nations. Genesis 17:4

And I will make you exceedingly fruitful and I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you. Genesis 17:6

And God said to Abraham, As for you, you shall therefore keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations. Genesis 17:9

To the outsider it looked like things were pretty much finished. Abram’s life was almost over but that was not the case. God had a plan….What is also interesting to note is, yes God said He would bless Abram but God was thinking hundreds of years ahead!!! He had a plan for his posterity…And that is how God thinks. We see the same pattern in the life of King David. He had a desire to build a house for God but God wouldn’t let him because of the blood he had shed but look at the promise He made to him because he had the desire:

4 But that night the word of the Lord came to Nathan, saying:

5 “Go and tell my servant David, ‘This is what the Lord says: Are you the one to build me a house to dwell in? 6 I have not dwelt in a house from the day I brought the Israelites up out of Egypt to this day. I have been moving from place to place with a tent as my dwelling. 7 Wherever I have moved with all the Israelites, did I ever say to any of their rulers whom I commanded to shepherd my people Israel, “Why have you not built me a house of cedar?”’ 8 “Now then, tell my servant David, ‘This is what the Lord Almighty says: I took you from the pasture, from tending the flock, and appointed you ruler over my people Israel. 9 I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have cut off all your enemies from before you. Now I will make your name great, like the names of the greatest men on earth. 10 And I will provide a place for my people Israel and will plant them so that they can have a home of their own and no longer be disturbed. Wicked people will not oppress them anymore, as they did at the beginning 11 and have done ever since the time I appointed leaders over my people Israel. I will also give you rest from all your enemies. “‘The Lord declares to you that the Lord himself will establish a house for you: 12 When your days are over and you rest with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, your own flesh and blood, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. 14 I will be his father, and he will be my son. When he does wrong, I will punish him with a rod wielded by men, with floggings inflicted by human hands. 15 But my love will never be taken away from him, as I took it away from Saul, whom I removed from before you. 16 Your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me; your throne will be established forever.’”

17 Nathan reported to David all the words of this entire revelation.           2 Samuel 7: 4-17

Yes, He has a plan for you but He also has a plan for your posterity! I get so excited when I hear that God has blessed my children within me. I am just the beginning, the introduction to the real story that is about to unfold! I didn’t come from a Christian background. My parents brought me up the best they knew how, they even sent me to church when I was a child!!! I thank God for that. So in a way I am paving a new way, setting a new path. You might think its all over but don’t believe the lies. God has so much more in store for you. The other thing I would like you to start doing is seeing yourself as a nation because that is how God sees you!!!  God has a plan for you and your posterity. Your life is just the introduction to a much greater and wonderful story.  Let us be like David who prepared all that Solomon needed to build the house of God. David used the relationships he had, the resources he had to make sure his son would accomplish what God had called him to do. We need to do the same thing King David did. Even if you are single, what you do now matters. Let us look to God to help us………Amen!
