What is God’s will for my Life????

God created each and everyone of us for a purpose. He made no mistakes when He created us. But there are a lot of people who don’t know what their purpose is on the earth. What is God’s will for my life, is one of the most asked questions among Christians. You see, everything around us speaks to us about destiny. If there is one thing you cannot deny is the fact that, everything on this earth has a purpose! For example, let us take a look at  a butter knife. It is a knife but it was made for a specific purpose. It was made so it could be used to spread butter on bread. You cannot use it to cut wood. It was not made for that.

The butcher knife on the other hand was made to cut harder things. Does it make it better than the butter knife, no! It makes it different. Each has a different function. What am I trying to get at, you might be wondering? My goal is to show you that everything is made with a purpose and that goes for us. What is our purpose?

To find out what our purpose is we need to look to the Word of God. There is so much in there for us. Let us look at a familiar passage of scripture which says,

  New American Standard Bible
“The people whom I formed for Myself Will declare My praise.  Isaiah 43:21

We were created with the sole purpose of worshiping God!!! God created you and me to worship Him. You were specifically made to do that. Everything else comes after that. Yes, you are a doctor, lawyer, athlete, pilot, governor, and so on but God created you to worship Him!!! Our purpose is to worship God in the place He has called us to be in. David was a king and a warrior but he was a worshiper! King David says in Psalm 119:164 –  New International Version
Seven times a day I praise you for your righteous laws.

He understood he was created to praise God. The Word says, the people I formed for myself WILL….not might, or if they feel like but WILL!!! It is a command and not a suggestion. God doesn’t command us to do things just for the sake of being difficult but because He knows there is a blessing. Will you answer to the challenge? Will you answer the call to live a life of worship. We were created to worship God! As you do that everything else will fall into place.

Failing Jesus…..!

But again he denied it falsely and disowned Him. And after a short while, again the bystanders said to Peter, Really, you are one of them, for you are a Galilean and your dialect shows it.                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Then he commenced invoking a curse on himself [should he not be telling the truth] and swearing, I do not know the Man about Whom you are talking!  And at once for the second time a cock crowed. And Peter remembered how Jesus said to him, Before the cock crows twice, you will utterly deny Me [disclaiming all connection with Me] three times. And having put his thought upon it [and remembering], he broke down and wept aloud and lamented. Mark 14:70-72

We all know Peter’s story and we like to even reference him when we have really messed up but the truth of the matter is his story is an answer to a serious question. How do we as broken vessels serve a God who is perfect? And is there hope for us in our fallen state?                                                        Peter had denied the Lord! In the natural there couldn’t be another chance. In Peter’s eyes he had failed. There was no hope for him. But as we read on we see, there was hope. God gave Peter a second chance!

Like Peter we fail God not just once but on a daily basis!! We cannot escape sin. But know this, God has given you a second chance. Note I said “He has given you” and not He will give you! God has given you a second chance. God knew we would not be able to live up to His standard but He still gave us a destiny. He still loved us enough to give His Son for us….!

Whatever you have done know that God is merciful. He can erase any sin no matter how bad you think it is. He HAS erased your worst sin! Take courage and run to Him. He is the God of second chances and more!!!

Has My Free Access Before God Being Denied??

Free Access Before God Denied???
I was having my time with God when a scripture jumped out at me. It made me think about how my approach before God has been. The scripture is in Ephesians 3:12 and it says;
In whom, because of our faith in Him, we dare to have the boldness (courage and confidence) of free access (an unreserved approach to God with freedom and without fear).

So as I am reading the verse I realise that I am not that confident before God. I am not unreserved in my approach to God all the time. But we are meant to come to God in boldness and in confidence without fear.
But why do a lot of us come to Him afraid and unsure? Something is very wrong if we can’t. I want to come to the Lord in boldness and confidence all the time. He is my Father. He really loves me. I want to be unreserved in my approach to Him without fear or doubt.

As I was thinking about all this there were a few things that came to mind. I am fearful in my approach to God because of sin. I know God says I am forgiven when I confess my sin but sometimes I think He is still angry with me. Are you in the same boat? Is there sin that you have committed that you think God cannot forgive? God is true to His word when He says He has forgiven us. God wants us to come to Him boldly.

The other thing that could be a hinderance is having a lack of faith that God hears our prayers. But He does. The word says He delights in our prayers. He loves the prayer of a righteous man. He hears your prayers. He doesn’t disregard them.
The goal is to come to God in boldness and confidence without fear. We need to have an unreserved approach to God. He is our Father who loves us deeply.

The key is coming to God in faith. It is because of our faith that we come to Him in confidence and boldness. It is through faith that we eradicate fear and doubt.

We have free access to God by faith. Let us go to Him in boldness.
