There Is More To Your Story

“The chariots of God are twice ten thousand, thousands upon thousands;

the Lord is among them; Sinai is now in the sanctuary.

You ascended on high, leading a host of captives in your train and receiving

gifts among men, even among the rebellious that the Lord God may dwell there.”

Psalm 68:17, 18

The first thing I want to say after reading that amazing verse is that you have victory.

The Lord went out and conquered. He was victorious over all His enemies and because

of that we have victory.

The word says he led out a host of captives.

Who were those captives? Sickness, poverty, anxiety, fear you name it.

He defeated them all and because we are His children victory is our portion.

But at times it seems like the enemy is so strong. It seems like he is winning from

every direction. Where ever we turn we seem to be losing BUT..

The same thing happened to Jesus.

The devil thought he had won over him when He was crucified.

End of the story he thought.

Victory he thought.

But he was so wrong. There was still more to the story, much more.

Jesus defeated death and rose again and saved us all!

So no matter how bleak it seems, remember there is more to your story.

It’s not over yet, no even close. The devil may seem to be winning at the moment but he doesn’t

have the final say.

Jesus does and He has defeated all your enemies!

Bless you friends

Let’s talk about the dead things in our lives

“The Jews said, see how [tenderly] He loved him!

But some of them said, could not He Who opened a blind man’s eyes have

prevented this man from dying.”

John 11:36, 37

Lazarus had died. Jesus could have saved him but got there late, four days late!

Everyone agrees that the outcome would have been better if Jesus got to him in time.

“Martha then said to Jesus, Master, if You had been here my brother would not have died.”

John 11:21

“When Mary came to the place where Jesus was and saw Him, she dropped down at His feet,

saying to Him, Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.”

John 11:32

But I noticed something not just in this story but throughout the new testament. Jesus was not

intimidated by death. While everyone stopped and came to a conclusion because of death,

He moved forward.

Jesus saw death as something to be conquered which He did.

That gives me hope.

When a dream appears to be dead or hope lost, Jesus is beckoning us to keep trusting, to keep hoping.

He is calling us to not give up, to keep believing because He brings the dead things to life!

We may have been disappointed over and over again but we need to remember that Jesus is stronger

than death. Its not “the end” for you.

Jairus experienced this truth. His daughter was deathly sick so he went to Jesus for help. (Mark 5:22-43)

He found Jesus and took him to his home. But on the way some men came to him and told him

that his daughter had died. It was all over for him it seemed. But listen to Jesus’ words,

“Overhearing but ignoring what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue,

Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear; only keep believing.”

Mark 5:36

Jesus brought his daughter back from the dead! Death didn’t stop Jesus.

When everyone stopped at death Jesus moved forward and pushed death aside!

What is dead in your life? Where has hope been lost?

Look to Jesus because He brings dead things to life. Its not over yet.

Keep believing in Him.

He is the God who performs miracles!

Break the limitations we have placed on ourselves Lord.

You see no limitations!

You only see breakthrough!

Amen!

He changed His environment…..

The Lord wants to do some incredible things in you and through you and because of that you need

to pay attention to what you are exposing yourself to consistently. You need to take a long hard look at the

people you call your friends and ask yourself if they are encouraging you in your faith or are killing

your faith. You need to take a long hard look at all that you digest (social media, music, media) and ask

yourself if it’s strengthening your faith or killing it.

How is it at home? Have you created an environment for Yeshua to speak to you easily or are there

just too many distractions? (I am dealing with this right now)

All this matters. Like I said in the beginning, the Lord has incredible things in store for you.

Let’s look at a story in the bible that will bring home what I am talking about.

In Mark chapter 5 a man named Jairus meets Yeshua. His daughter is near death and has come to

the Him for help. The Lord agrees to go with Jairus and we pick up the story when Yeshua

arrives at the house.

“And when He had gone in, He said to them, Why do you make an uproar and weep? The little

girl is not dead but is sleeping.

And they laughed and jeered at Him. But He put them all out, and taking the child’s father and mother

and those who were with Him, He went in where the little girl was lying.”

Mark 5:39, 40

The Lord was about to perform a miracle but in order to do that He had to put out the people

who were laughing and jeering at Him. He had to change the environment. It would be impossible for

Him to do what needed to be done if the people stayed.

And that is why the parents stayed. They may have had their doubts but their little faith was enough.

All the Lord needs is a little faith. But doubt, and fear are a different story.

In the very next chapter we look at how the Lord could not do any miracles except heal a few people here

and there because the majority of people didn’t trust Him, doubted Him.

“But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor (deference, reverence) except in his [own]

country and among [his] relatives and in his [own] house.

And He was not able to do even one work of power there, except that He laid His hands on a few

sickly people [and] cured them.”

Mark 6:4,5 (emphasis mine)

If there is no faith it makes it hard for the Lord to move, very hard!

But to my main point, the Lord had to change His environment by putting out the negative crowd.

If the Lord did that how much more do we need to? We need to take a long hard look at every aspect

that makes up our environment that I mentioned earlier and start making some decisions.

If we are to walk in all the amazing things the Lord has for us we need to cut off the things that

are weighing us down, the things that keep us in fear, the things that make us doubt YAH, the things

that contradict the word the Lord gave us about your lives. When I talk about things I am also talking

about people. We have some really toxic relationships and think it’s okay but it’s not. Those toxic

relationships are doing you major harm.

We need to ask for the Lord’s help and wisdom. This can only be done successfully with Him.

On that final thought enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Bless you friends

Expect Him to move in your life today……..Part 2

I wasn’t planning to do this but after I wrote the first part I realized

I had to go deeper. I want to break this topic down and talk about

the process, how do we

“Expect YAH to move in our lives today?”

I am going to introduce three things that could help you.

  1. Bring your past to Him

You may have had a difficult past but you can let go. You don’t

have to let it dictate what your future will be like.

Bring your past to the Lord. He doesn’t want you holding on to

it any longer. Your future is brighter and full of hope.

I used to hold on to the past so tight that it became a part of me.

I used to wear it like a badge everywhere I went. And even though

what happened to me was serious, YAH wanted me to release it

to Him so He could show me a future He had planned for me.

Friends, don’t let your past ruin what YAH has for you now…

“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not

perceive it.”

Isaiah 43:18

2. Change the words you are speaking

“And behold, a woman who had suffered from a flow of blood for

twelve years came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His

garment;

for she kept saying to herself, if I only touch His garment,  I shall

be restored to health. ”

Matthew 9:20, 21

The woman kept speaking what she was believing for. There is

power in the words we speak. What comes out of your mouth

has an impact on your life. Speak life, speak what you believing

for and don’t fall into the trap of speaking negatively.

“A good man eats good from the fruit of his mouth, but the desire of

the treacherous is for violence.

He who guards his mouth keeps his life, but he who opens wide

his lips comes to ruin.”

Proverbs 13:2, 3

3. Spend more time with YAH

I put this as the last thing because I find it so hard. I am constantly

fighting distractions left, right and center. And the crazy thing is, I

created most of the distractions!! That’s so messed up!

We need to spend more time in His word, more time speaking to

Him and listening to Him.

I will leave you with those three things to ponder on.

I hope those points will help you on your journey.

The Lord wants to move in your life for sure. Be expectant.

Bless you friends…..

Do we really understand His faithfulness??

image

“For the Lord is good; His mercy and loving-kindness are

everlasting, His faithfulness and truth endure to all

generations. “

Psalm 101:5

“His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations”

This verse has been on my heart this week. The Lord is so

faithful. This past week has been interesting because I have

been reminded about the things I am trusting God for. Those

things haven’t come to pass as yet. Nothing seems to be

happening. I have asked God the “why” question and the

“when” question and as I have done that the scripture I shared

has been bubbling in my spirit. Even in the “hard to understand

times” God is faithful!

“His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations”

It may “seem” like nothing is happening at the moment but

the Lord is faithful! He really is….

The word says “His faithfulness and truth endure to ALL

generations!”

God was faithful to Abraham when He told him to

leave his home to go to a place he didn’t know.

“The Lord had said to Abraham, “Leave your native country,

your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land

that I will show you.”

Genesis 12:1

A hundred and one things could of gone wrong for Abraham.

Leaving what you know to go to a place you have

never seen and never heard of is crazy right.

But Abraham obeyed and went and God’s faithfulness protected

him as he went. God blessed Abraham, protected him and

directed his every step. Abraham had favor where he went.

That was God’s faithfulness operating in his life.

The Lord was faithful to Adam and Eve when they ate of the

tree that God told them not to eat. They were doomed when they

ate the fruit. The enemy had won if it wasn’t for God’s

faithfulness to Adam and Eve! (Genesis 3)

Without God’s faithfulness we would be doomed.

“His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations”

Generations later we see God’s faithfulness in the life of Hannah.

She was barren and because of that she was constantly

ridiculed by Peninnah. It seemed like Peninnah would be

victorious. It seemed like her negative words would ring

true in Hannah’s life.

“So Peninnah would taunt Hannah and make fun of her because

the Lord had kept her from having children.

Year after year it was the same – Peninnah would taunt Hannah

as they went to the tabernacle.

Each time, Hannah would be reduced to tears and would not

even eat.”

1 Samuel 1:6, 7

But God was faithful to Hannah! He answered her prayer and

granted her heart’s desire by giving her a child, Samuel!

Year after year it seemed like nothing was happening for

Hannah. There was no relief from the taunting. But God is

faithful and even in that dark time God’s faithfulness prevailed.

Because of God’s faithfulness Hannah had a child and

a testimony! (1 Samuel 2)

“And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from

God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home

is now among His people! He will live with them, and they will be

His people. God Himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear

from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or

crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”

Revelation 21:2-4

God’s faithfulness is everlasting. Even in the end of time we see

His faithfulness!

Throughout scripture we see God’s faithfulness. Generation after

generation we see His faithfulness at work. His faithfulness

was at work then and it’s at work now. I know things don’t

seem to be happening right now but God is faithful.

Last month I went on tour to Zambia and I was involved in

a very serious car accident. I was supposed to be dead. At the very

least I was supposed to be seriously injured but because of

God’s faithfulness I escaped unscathed.

When my country came to a standstill in 2008 with no food

in the country and our dollar crashing it was God’s faithfulness

that kept me. When I didn’t know where the next meal would

come from God was faithful. So no matter what is happening

or not happening at the moment I know God is faithful!

Why I am sharing this with you? I am sharing this with you

because no matter what you going through know that God

is faithful. Troubles will come in their droves but

God is faithful and He will deliver you from them all!

He was faithful yesterday, He is faithful today and He

will still be faithful tomorrow!

His faithfulness will outlive us all!!

Because He is faithful your darkness will turn to light.

Because He is faithful everything will turn out alright.

The enemy will not win over you because of God’s faithfulness!

You will have a testimony because of His faithfulness.

Because of His faithfulness your posterity is blessed!

It will take all of eternity

to write of God’s faithfulness so as I close my hope is that you

will get a revelation of God’s faithfulness in your life.

I hope the very few stories I have

shared will encourage you to rely on His faithfulness in your hard

times. In the dark know He is faithful.

His faithfulness might not manifest itself in the way we expect and

the time we expect but know this, He is faithful!  That truth is

irrefutable! Have a blessed day friends…….

A place of mystery!

“Not long after that, Jesus went to the village Nain. His disciples were with him, along with quite a large crowd. As they approached the village gate, they met a funeral procession—a woman’s only son was being carried out for burial. And the mother was a widow. When Jesus saw her, his heart broke. He said to her, “Don’t cry.” Then he went over and touched the coffin. The pallbearers stopped. He said, “Young man, I tell you: Get up.” The dead son sat up and began talking. Jesus presented him to his mother.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭7:11-15‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Hey everybody. I am so glad I got a chance to stop and write

something here in Australia. It’s been a great week so far. I can’t

believe a week has passed already. It’s been so much fun and

God has been showing me lots. I can’t wait to share what He has been

showing me which will come later in the days and weeks to come.

Anyway, I hope you all know the story I started with in Luke. It’s a

really interesting story and pretty straight forward. Jesus is on

His way to a village called Nain and as He approaches it He meets

people who are morning the death of a man, a widow’s son. He

was been carried out for burial. So as you can imagine, there is

mourning, and sadness. Anyway to cut a long story short Jesus

raises the man from the dead. What an amazing miracle! Look at

what the next verse says:

“They all realized they were in a place of holy mystery, that God was at work among them. They were quietly worshipful—and then noisily grateful, calling out among themselves, “God is back, looking to the needs of his people!” The news of Jesus spread all through the country.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭7:16-17‬ ‭MSG‬‬

When Jesus raised the man from the dead the people realized they

were in a place of holy mystery!! They realized that God was at work

among them.

This is the thing I want you to see. We are always in a place of holy

mystery because God is always at work among us. We may not

recognize it at times but it’s the truth. Coming to Ausstralia made

me realize how true that was. As I reflected on all that is happening

in my life right now, It is clear to see that God is at work in my

life, I am in a place of holy mystery and I thank Him for that.

You are in a place of holy mystery friend. God is doing stuff in your

life even if it’s difficult to understand, even if it seems like you are

facing a wall. If it’s hard for you to see it then ask Him to show you.

Let’s not be familiar with the things God is doing in our lives.

We make the mistake of thinking that the place of holy mystery is only

found in the big things God is doing but it’s just not true. He is in the

small, simple things as well. You have a job, you have the gift of life,

you are healed, you have a loving family, your sins are forgiven!

The list goes on and on!

As I end please understand you are in a place of a holy mystery!

The day of power!

Happy Easter to you all. I hope you are having a great weekend celebrating the

death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

To be honest, I have not been seeking the Lord like I should. I should

be reading my bible more and praying more this weekend but I have

been slacking big time. It’s a fight to seek Him. But I make a decision  to seek Him,

to make this weekend count.

Tomorrow is Resurrection Sunday!

Easter is our day if you didn’t know. It’s a strong day for us. It’s not like every

other day of the year, it’s a day of significance for us and when I say “day” I am

talking about Easter as a whole. A strong day is a day you can declare things, make

decisions and so on. You can do that on normal days but there is a different

kind of power when you do those kind of things on strong days. Your birthday

for instance is a strong day, a great day to reflect and make changes right?

I was reflecting on a few things today.

I was thinking about the importance of Easter.

Jesus Christ died for us because He wanted

to have a relationship with us, He died so we could be set free from the enemy’s

strong grip. He died so He could bring us home. We were lost but because of what

He did we were found.

As I reflected on all these things I saw the ugly things in my life. I saw how I fail

Him on a daily basis and so on. But today is the day I can come to God and cry out

to Him.

I made a decision today. It stops here, with me! I don’t want my sins and the sins of my

parents and so on to carry over to the coming generations. I don’t want my kids to

struggle with what I struggle with. I don’t want them to fear what I fear. Who knows

what sins have been passed down generationally but the Lord knows?

On Easter, the day of power I ask the Lord to help me. It’s only by His grace I have

a chance. I shared this with you to show you what a strong day is and how important it is

and what you can be doing on it.

Use this Easter weekend to reflect and make some changes. This is our day, our strong day.

The enemy would like us to think it’s an ordinary day but it’s not. Far from it. It’s our day of power that

the Lord has appointed!! Make declarations, draw a line in the sand, stand, and whatever

else you think you should do because today is the day of power!

Jesus Christ died and rose again. He rendered the enemy’s power useless.

He defeated the enemy on this day of power.

All the enemy’s plans blew up in his face.

Make this Easter count. Allow Him to show you how because this is,

our day of power!

Have a very blessed Easter!

A world without trouble….??!!!

23 Are they servants of Christ? (I am out of my mind to talk like this.) I am more. I have

worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and

been exposed to death again and again.

24 Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one.

25 Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was

shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea,

26 I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from

bandits, in danger from my fellow Jews, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city,

in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false believers.

27 I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger

and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked.

28 Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches.

1 Corinthians 11:23-28

I think you will agree with me, Paul went through an a lot of hard times. As I read this

scripture I began to think:

Did Paul ever think God had abandoned or hate him?

He was shipwrecked, beaten, stoned, whipped, hungry, naked and a lot more.

I think it would be easy to get discouraged and think God was punishing him.

But that is not the case here. Paul is not complaining when he writes this.

He is giving glory to God, He is praising God!

We know without a doubt that God was with Paul through every step of the way.

God was with Paul when he was in prison

God was with Paul when he was whipped

God was with Paul when he was at the point of death,

when death was knocking at the door God was by his side!

God never left Paul, not once! He was by his side through it all….

God was with Paul when he spent a whole night at sea adrift on

a board!

When he was in danger from bandits and his own people, God

was with him!

In toil and hardships God was with him!

When he had nothing to eat or drink, when he was naked, God

was with him.

The trials Paul went through drew him closer to God.

The trials he went though strengthened his faith in God.

What troubles are you going through?

I want you to know, as you go

through the storm God is with you. He knows exactly what you are

going through. He will not abandon you!!

Praise God in the storms you are going through right now.

He wants to reveal His greatness to you.

He cares about you and will never leave you alone!

Rely on Him, call on Him in those times.

As God was with Paul, He is with you!

Looking out at the Red Sea…..

They needed You Lord…….

The enemy was not far behind…..

Not just any army, but one of the best armies in the world….

Death, murder was on their minds….

As the people turned away they were faced with the Red Sea…..

Dead end…..

All hope was lost, we are doomed they cried out….

“Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have

taken us away to die in the wilderness?” Exodus 14:11

“There is no where to run to” they thought….

“We are trapped” they thought…..

“God has abandoned us” they thought…..

As they looked out at the Red Sea that is all they saw….

They failed to see the deliverance of God as they looked out…

We know the story well. We know God came through. He

parted the Red Sea and the Egyptians all died!

But I want to show you something I saw the other day.

The Israelites looked at the Red Sea and saw a dead end but

this is what the word says:

Your way [in delivering Your people] was through the sea, and Your paths through the great waters, yet Your footsteps were not traceable, but were obliterated. (‭Psalm‬ ‭77‬:‭19‬ AMP)

God’s deliverance was through the Red Sea!!!

What does that mean?

You may be in a hard place with no way out but God will

make a way for you.

You may think you are doomed and the enemy has won

but God will make a way for you!

He will part a Red Sea if He needs to…..!

You may feel trapped but He will free you…..

The enemy may seem strong and powerful but against

God they are powerless to do anything to us……

As you look out at the Red Sea see the deliverance of God!!

He will come through for you…..

The way may seem closed, like the enemy has won but

that is not true!!!! There is a way!

We serve a mighty God indeed…..

He is our Deliverer!

Look out across your Red Sea and see the deliverance of God!

Pray for someone……

“And when he saw that it was pleasing to the Jews, he proceeded further and arrested Peter also. This was during the days of Unleavened Bread [the Passover week].

And when he had seized [Peter], he put him in prison and delivered him to four squads of soldiers of four each to guard him, purposing after the Passover to bring him forth to the people.

So Peter was kept in prison, but fervent prayer for him  was persistently made to God by the church (assembly). Acts 12:3-19

This year I made a decision to change the way I pray! I can’t pray the same way I prayed in 2014. There must be a change! So I started praying for others more frequently. I decided to take it seriously. I always knew it was the right thing to do but this year I got more serious about it. And then I came across the scripture above! Let me show you how it challenged me:

Peter was in deep trouble. Herod had arrested him and was planning to kill him to please the Jews! But the bible tells us,

So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him. Acts 12:5

When I read this I realized something, our prayers have power, whether we are praying into situations we are facing in our own lives or whether we pray for people, our prayers have power.

The church prayed and Peter was delivered out of prison! He was rescued out of Herod’s hands! But get this, the church didn’t understand the power of prayer because when Peter came to their door they didn’t believe Rhoda! It can’t be so with us. We must pray with the understanding that our prayers are powerful and God answers prayer. I want to encourage you to pray for someone. Your prayer is important. It will make a difference in that person’s life.

The enemy doesn’t want us praying for each other.

Think about that! He too knows the power of prayer and he will do all he can to keep us from praying for each other. I will not stand for it, will you? Your prayer has the power to change someone else’s life!

Declare with me,

When I pray things happen.

My prayers have power.

When I pray chains are broken.

When I pray angels respond.

One last thing I want to share with you is this:

Peter was in the most hopeless of situations.

He was guarded by four squads of soldiers of four soldiers each.

He had two soldiers in his cell!

He was bound with two chains in his cell!

There were soldiers outside his cell!

If that is not a hopeless situation I don’t know what is. But it is through prayer Peter was set free! No matter how hopeless it seemed he was set free because of prayer! And that for me shows me the power of prayer. Don’t despise the power of prayer! When you pray for yourself or are praying for someone else, know your prayer has power!  God is so good……Amen!
