Don’t take your “foot off the pedal”….keep hoping and trusting!

“One day some men from the tribe of Judah went to Joshua at Gilgal. One of those men was Caleb

son of Jephunneh. He said to Joshua, “You remember what the Lord said at Kadesh Barnea. He was

speaking to the prophet Moses about you and me.

Moses, the Lord’s servant, sent me to look at the land where we were going. I was 40 years old then.”

Joshua 14:6, 7

Caleb is officially one of my favorite bible characters now. I get pumped up every time I read

his story. He was one of the spies that was sent out to spy out the promise land and he was one

of two spies who believed YAH would deliver the Canaanites into their hands.

His faith in YAH was crazy!

His story challenged me so much. In Joshua 14, he goes to Joshua to ask for the mountain YAH promised

him all that time ago.  Let me rephrase that, he tells Joshua to give him the mountain YAH promised

him. There was no asking…..

The crazy thing about this story is that Caleb was promised the mountain when he was 40 years old.

And at the age of 85 he was ready to take what YAH promised him. (Joshua 14:10) He waited 45 years for

the Lord’s promise. His faith didn’t waver in all that time. He held on firmly to what the Lord promised him.

I don’t know about you but my faith is stirred every time I read that. The Lord is faithful and will

not fail to fulfill what He promised us. We need to make sure we don’t give up and falter in our faith.

If you do falter then get back up. Put your hope in the Lord again. Don’t stay down, don’t

stay discouraged.

No matter how long it has been, hold on to your faith. Hold on to the Lord’s promise.

Caleb didn’t let his age stop him from possessing the Lord’s promise.

At 40 his faith was in YAH and at 85 his faith was still in YAH and stronger than ever!

Don’t let anything stop you from trusting YAH.

He never gave up or lost hope. He was patient and confident in the Lord’s faithfulness! His trust

was not in himself, no. His faith was in the Lord.

“So give me the mountain country the Lord promised me that day long ago. Back then you heard that

the Anakite people lived there. And the cities were large and well protected.

But now with the Lord helping me, I will force them out, just as the Lord said.” (italics mine)

Joshua 14:12

Wow! That faith!

It’s not too late. The Lord has not forgotten about you so don’t throw in the towel! Hold on to the promise

even though it seems like it’s not going to happen.

To be honest with you, there were things I stopped praying about but after reading about Caleb I am back.

That’s what the Lord wants, for us to keep holding on to the promises He has made. No matter what people say,

hold on to the promise.

Don’t let go it. The Lord is faithful and will fulfill what He promised!

ACT ON IT – Firstly, write down the things YAH promised you.

Secondly, Go boldly to YAH and ask Him for those things you have stopped praying about

Thirdly, Talk to someone about it.

And lastly, Is there something you need to start doing? Caleb’s faith was in the Lord but he

had to go fight. What do you need to do today as a demonstration of your faith in YAH?

And that is it friends. Hold on to the promise of the Lord until he brings it to pass. There will be plenty

opportunity to give up but don’t. The Lord is is faithful to us always!

Bless you.

“Get me out of here”!!!!

“Only think of me when it goes well with you, and please

show me kindness by mentioning me to Pharoah and get me

out of this house.

For in fact I was taken (stolen) from the land of the Hebrews

by [unlawful] force, and even here I have done nothing for

which they should put me in the dungeon.

Genesis 40:14, 15

I think you will agree with me that life gets crazy at times.

Being in the place God has called you to be is not easy at times.

There is joy, happiness and memorable moments but there is

the other stuff. There is the stuff that doesn’t make sense.

There is the stuff that makes you doubt what God told you.

There is the stuff that wants to make you throw in the towel….

Yes, I am talking about the call of God. All this stuff, the good,

the bad define purpose! Joseph knew this so well.

There was a time he wanted out! He felt betrayed and unfairly

treated. He was confused and hurt.

Then he restored the chief butler to his butlership again, and

he placed the cup in Pharoah’s hand. But he hanged the chief

baker, as Joseph had interpreted to them.

Yet the chief butler did not mention Joseph, but forgot him.

Genesis 40:21-23

It would take two years before the butler remembered Joseph.

It wasn’t easy for him. He had to overcome a lot of things

on the road to fulfilling his purpose. He had to forgive a lot

of people. There was a lot of growing up that had to

happen. It was intense…..

“Now two sons were born to Joseph before the years of famine

came, whom Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera, priest of On,

bore to him.

Joseph named the firstborn, Manasseh (causing to forget),

for he said, God has made me forget all my trouble and hardship

and all [the sorrow of the loss of] my father’s household.

Genesis 41:50, 51

All I want you to see are the hard times Joseph went through.

God had a plan in the midst of the pain and hardship.

The story of Joseph is one of my favourites. It reminds

me that no matter how bad things get, God has a plan.

When things seem at their worst, He has a plan. Don’t

give up. Don’t throw in the towel. When the odds are

stacked up high against you look to God. You are not

enough on your own! God will bring you through…..

We need to trust in His goodness friends. God is so good.

He is not partially good. He is all good. He has good things

in store for you. The fire you are in will not consume you. You

will come out victorious. There will be good times. There will

be laughter. There will be joy. He will fulfill what He planned for

you…..and that’s a promise!

Australia – Part 2

Hi friends!

It has been a week since I got back from Australia and

I have been racking my brain wondering what I should

share with you. It’s crazy!! At first I thought I would

share the places I saw, the fun things I did, but quickly

scratched that. It was fun going to the beach and sight

seeing but there was more that happened. The kind of

stuff that can change a man! Without taking anymore

of your time let’s get started.

WHY AUSTRALIA?

image

This is why we went. The Kingdom Festival happens every

year and this year, my pastor’s wife was the guest speaker!

If you live close to the Gold Coast I strongly urge you to

attend Kingdom Festival 2016. In fact, wherever you are

in the world I ask you to prayerfully consider going to

Kingdom Festival 2016. Please click here to find out more.

VISION

On the first night of the festival we went for something

called “vision night”. This was where the pastor cast the vision

for Kingdom Festival. I was deeply impacted by the event.

The dinner was held at the Metricon stadium. God told

him Kingdom Festival will be held at the stadium. It seems

crazy but you know what, that stadium will be filled!

Kingdom will be held at the Metricon because God said

so and because His people believed Him!

The vision was so clear, so precise. That is what vision

is supposed to be, very clear, precise with no room for

misinterpretation! I was moved. The pastor had faith

and he was declaring what God showed him. That is what

faith is. It is being bold

enough to speak and declare what God has revealed

even when it doesn’t make sense.

I want to challenge you about your vision. Is it clear?

Can someone run with it after they read it? I am speaking

to myself as well. I am still unclear about what God has

in store for me but I want to be clear. I want my vision

to be as clear as day!

MIRACLES

One of the speakers at the Festival had raised numerous

people from the dead (not at the Festival but in his life)

Lots of people were healed during the Festival because

of him. I am sharing this because I realized something.

The days of miracles is not over. We are living in the

end times and miracles are happening. Jesus said

greater things shall you do! I want to do those great

things. It is not for a special set of people but for

anyone and everyone! That is the revelation I got after

hearing the speaker.

EVERYTHING ELSE!

I want you to understand something. Going to Australia

was a miracle for me. My church has a congregation of

about 3500 people right. So out of all those people I was

chosen to go. In a team of 6 and I was among those

who were chosen! I don’t take that lightly. God was everywhere

at the Festival.

He was in the people I met, in the word I heard during

the Festival, in every worship song that was sung, in the

fellowship of the saints. I can’t put into words what I

experienced. God put imparted something in me,

something I will fight to maintain! This was not just another trip.

I refuse to stay unchanged! God did some deep work

in me and I refuse to sit on it.

This was not a coincidence but a moment that was

ordained by God.

Don’t stop trusting in God friend! He wants to take you places.

He wants to show you how good He is. It’s not about how

clever you are, or how rich you are, which family you came

from, which country you live in. Are you available?

Do you trust Him? There is nothing stopping Him

from blessing you, from bringing the breakthrough,

from healing you! Run to Him!

As I finish I want to share a few more pictures with you.

There was a lot more to share but for the sake of time and space

I cut it short. I hope this post spoke to you.

God's chosen people!

God’s chosen people!

God is moving in Australia!

God is moving in Australia!

Kingdom Festival

Kingdom Festival!

A people hungry for the Lord!

A people hungry for the Lord!

A procession unto the Lord!

A procession unto the Lord!

That is me!

That is me!

I love to worship!

I love to worship!

And that is all I have to share. God bless you all….!    🙂

God’s plan for him took him to Egypt…..!

And the patriarchs [Jacob’s sons], boiling with envy

and hatred and anger, sold Joseph into slavery in Egypt;

but God was with him,

And delivered him from all his distressing afflictions and

won him goodwill and favor and wisdom and understanding

in the sight of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, who made him governor

over Egypt and all his house.  Acts 7:9, 10

Joseph’s brothers held nothing back. The word is very clear

how they felt about him. They were boiling with envy, hatred,

and anger toward him. They wanted to do him harm!

When they sold him as a slave they thought that was the

end of him!

I think the enemy does something similar. he brings things

in our lives to take us out, to do us harm. he doesn’t want

us fulfilling our destiny.

But he is seriously misinformed. Like Joseph, God is with

us in the desert, in the storm, in Egypt!

Consider this:

God had a plan for Joseph but he had to go to Egypt for it

to come to pass!

I believe we all have an “Egypt”

to go through but that is not the most important thing to

remember. The most important thing to remember is,

God is with you!

Because God was with Joseph in Egypt the word says,

He delivered him from ALL his distressing afflictions

(which in reality are many). God will deliver us as well.

He won him goodwill and favor and wisdom and

understanding in the sight of Pharaoh, King of Egypt!

Wow….!!!

Pharaoh made him governor over Egypt and all his house!

That is so crazy right! That all happened in Egypt!!

His brothers wanted to take him out but God stepped in

and turned things around. He delivered Joseph from

the evil plans of man.

God protected him. Anything could of happened to him

but it didn’t because God was with him!

Did Joseph understand at first? Off course not. He had

dreams in his heart, dreams he believed were from God!

But even though he was confused and even though he felt

abandoned, even though he was in fear, even though he

was rejected, even though he was misunderstood, even

though his faith in God waned, even though he was locked

up,

God was with him through it all..…!

Friends, please let that truth sink in deep. He is

with us. He knows exactly where you are, what you are

facing. He has not abandoned you, He has not cast you

into the darkness, He has not disowned you, He doesn’t

want to harm you….never! He is with you. He loves you

with an everlasting love! Don’t ever forget that.

be encouraged…….God bless you!

Have a great weekend!

When you are faced with the impossible…….!

I have been talking to God about my life. I don’t know about you

but as I look at my life there are things I am trusting God for that are

way over my head. Things that are bigger than me.

I look at those things and I can’t even can’t make sense of it!

But it’s okay right?

Okay to dream big, okay to ask God for the unimaginable?

We all have something like that, something crazy and big!

Something only God can do….something you know that you

know only God can do!

But as I was meditating on the sheer absurdity of what I

was asking God, a friend of mine shared a scripture that opened

my eyes:

Jesus looked hard at them and said, “No chance at all if you think you can pull it off yourself. Every chance in the world if you trust God to do it.” (‭Matthew‬ ‭19‬:‭26‬ MSG)

There are a lot of things in life where we simply need God!

How many times do we try to do things in our own strength only

to fail?

God wants us to trust Him.

Whatever you are trusting God for no matter how big it is, please

know that you can trust the Lord!

You have a chance if you dare to trust Him, but no chance at

all if you try to pull it off by yourself because of your lack

of faith in Him!!!

So the word today is, trust! Trust the Lord when you are

faced with the impossible!

You have a chance in the face of the impossible if you will

trust Him but no chance if you try to do it on your own!

Eleven days…….

It is [only] eleven days journey from Horeb by the way of

Mount Seir to Kadesh-barnea [on Canaan’s border;

yet Israel took forty years to get beyond it]. Deuteronomy 1:2

I have heard so many teachings on this passage right here.

And in nearly all the teachings I have heard on this scripture

it would always be about how Israel sinned,

“Just imagine if Israel obeyed the Lord”, they would say.

Their journey would have taken eleven days, only eleven

days!!!

I think it is something to think about but at the same time I think

there is more to the story.

As human beings we will always sin. Yes, Israel went to the extreme

in the wilderness but sins are sins. They could off taken eleven days

if they were perfect but they were not and instead it took them forty

years!

Just imagine if they managed to make it in eleven days???

There would be no stories of disobedience and rebellion,

lack of trust and so on. Nothing would of being dealt with!

The Israelite’s needed the forty years! In that time there

was death, repentance, and a whole lot of other things

that needed to take place. This is how the word puts it:

And you shall [earnestly] remember all the way which the Lord

your God led you these forty years in the wilderness, to humble

and to prove you, to know what was in your [mind and] heart,

whether you would keep His commandments or not.

And He humbled you and allowed you to hunger and fed you

with manna, which you did not know nor did your fathers know,

that He might make you realize and personally know that man

does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that

proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord. Deuteronomy 8:2, 3

God LED Israel for forty years so He could reveal what was

in their hearts! More precisely He wanted to know if their

hearts were devoted to Him……

He wanted them to make Him first in their hearts!

The Israelite’s went through so much in the forty years. They

would of missed out on so much if they took eleven days!

Let’s bring this home……

Just imagine it took you eleven days to get to the place God had

for you??? A measly eleven days!!!

I was a mess and it’s taken me at least fifteen years to begin to

get out of it but there is still much work to be done! I fail God

daily, I abandon Him daily, like Peter I disown Him by my

actions a lot, when I should be praying I watch TV or

something crazy like that.

But the good news is, from the first step I took on this journey

there has been growth. My relationship with God has deepened.

I have seen Him in a new way. My faith in Him has become

stronger. The failures, the hard times, the times of doubt, the

chastening, have drawn me closer to God.

I needed the forty years, as hard and difficult as they are,

I needed them!

What about you? Do you wish it would take you eleven days?

God wants to know what’s in your heart. He will test you

in the desert. He will allow times of hunger so He can

humble you so you can know His words are all you need!

Know this, God has a plan for you in the wilderness!

You are not there by mistake……

God has allowed times of hunger to test you, will you look to

Him or will you complain and murmur??

Will you lose your faith in Him in those times??

Teach me Your way, Lord, that I may rely on Your faithfulness;

give me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your name.

Psalm 86:11

What an amazing prayer! Lord, give me an undivided heart!

I have allowed so many things to have a piece of my heart.

This heart that should be ALL Yours!

So I pray, give me an UNDIVIDED heart Lord!

God wants Your heart. Not a piece but all of your heart.

Fight those things that have contended for it….He is all you

need.

Did John the Baptist really lie…….???!!

The very next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and yelled out, Here He is, God’s Passover Lamb! He forgives the sins of the world! This is the man I’ve been talking about, the One who comes after me but is really ahead of me.

I knew nothing about who He was-only this: that my task has been to get Israel ready to recognize Him as the God-Revealer.

John 1:29-31

Did John know Jesus? Was he telling the truth? If you look at his history you will find something quite surprisingly. Not only did John know Jesus, he was related to Him!! Why then did John say he didn’t know who He was?

For proof they were related let’s look at Luke 1:36:

“And did you know that your cousin Elizabeth conceived a son, old as she is? Everyone called her barren, and here she is six months pregnant!

Mary stayed with Elizabeth for three months and then went back to her home. Luke 1:56

They were related and it looked like their parents had a really good relationship!

I can see it now…….The boys grew up together. Jesus would sleep over at John’s house and vice versa. John and Jesus played together. They were close friends!

So if all this was true, why did John lie about not knowing Jesus?? He knew Him well…..

Let us look at another version to see how John identified Jesus,

The next day, John saw Jesus coming toward him and said:

Here is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

John 1:29

This is what struck me about John’s response. He knew who Jesus was but He didn’t get familiar with him. He could have gone there, but instead he made a decision to not be familiar. He refused to see Him as normal; he refused to become familiar with the son of God even though he was related to Him!

This is the lesson; we all have an amazing destiny so let us look at each other in that light! Let us not become familiar with each other that we don’t see God’s hand on him or her. Let us not get familiar to the point we can’t even encourage each other!

John had every right to be familiar with Jesus but he didn’t. He focused on the call of God on His life. And because of that he got to baptize Jesus!!

How do you look at your friends?? What do you think of them? Familiarity has a way of blinding you from seeing the real part of a person! Familiarity will block you from receiving……I believe John the Baptist would have missed his chance at being blessed if he got familiar with Jesus!

I am not suggesting you get all crazy when you see your friend, crazy like bowing down before them and so on….

All I am saying is, we need to see them as having a destiny and a purpose. We can be friends but at the same realize our friends and people close to us have a purpose and as we begin to treat them like they have a purpose we free them to walk in what God has called them into.

John didn’t lie, he simply made a decision to not be familiar with Jesus and he got to baptize Him! What an honor and a privilege…..

Naked and barefoot…

THOUGHT OF THE DAY.

In the year the field commander, sent by king Sargon of Assyria, came to Ashdod and fought and took it, God told Isaiah Son of Amoz,’Go, take off your clothes and sandals, and Isaiah did it. going about naked and barefoot.

Then God said, Just as my servant Isaiah has walked around town naked and barefooted for three years as a warning sign to Egypt and Ethiopia..Isaiah 20:1-3

This is one of the craziest stories I have read for sure!

Firstly, Isaiah is told to take off his clothes and sandals. We don’t read of any explanation being given by God. He simply tells Isaiah to take off his clothes.

The second craziest thing about this story is, Isaiah just obeys!!!! He never complained, dragged his feet, murmur, or sulk, he just obeyed! How amazing is that??

The third craziest thing about this story is Isaiah was naked for THREE YEARS!!!! Not three hours. But THREE YEARS……How crazy is that? Isaiah didn’t care what people would say. Was he uncomfortable?? I would like to think so, but what God wanted was Isaiah’s highest priority. Everything else came second to that….wow!

What an example of obedience we have. I was so challenged as I read this story. Am I obedient as Isaiah? Does my personal comfort affect my obedience to God? Will I obey God even if I don’t like it or if it feels uncomfortable? Will I be obedient to Him even if it means being ridiculed by people?

How obedient are you to God???

Rolain

Contemplation of a disciple…..

I was thinking about the disciples yesterday. They seen some crazy things and heard a lot of strange things right? What went through their minds as all these things were happening?

A coin found in the mouth of a fish…. Matt 17:24-27
We all know the story. Peter was asked if his Master paid taxes and his answer was yes. The word continues and says:
“But so we don’t upset them needlessly, go down to the lake, cast a hook, and pull in the  first fish that bites. Open it’s mouth and you’ll find a coin. Take it and give it to the tax men. It will be enough for both of us.” – Matthew 17:26, 27

What went through Peter’s mind? Did he get the revelation that Jesus was His source? Was he confident that ALL his needs would be taken care of if he only trusted God because he found a coin in the mouth of a fish!!?? Exactly as Jesus had said! Was he amazed, perplexed? Did he get it, I mean really get it???
Jesus, talking to a Samaritan woman!  John 4:1-42
Jesus does the unthinkable, He talks to a Samaritan woman. His disciples were shocked. What was on their minds?
“Just then his disciples came back. They were shocked. The couldn’t believe he was talking with that kind of woman. No one said what they were thinking, but their faces showed it.”  John 4: 27

Did they see the bigger picture? Did they realize that Jesus was seeing a much larger picture? The gospel was not just for a select few but for the whole world!!! Did they realize that? Did they know God loved the WORLD and was about to lay down His life for it?? Did they have a clue?? Did they know how much He loved people? He loved people no matter who they were, no matter their bringing up, what they had done in the past. He had a heart for the lost!!!
The “strange” teachings of Jesus.  John 6:51-56
The disciples had a real battle to decipher what Jesus meant. Some of his disciples abandoned him because of His hard sayings. We read one such saying in John 6:53:
“And Jesus said to them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, you cannot have any life in you unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood [unless you appropriate His life and the saving merit of His blood].
He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood has (possesses now) eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] on the last day.
For My flesh is true and genuine food, and My blood is true and genuine drink.

When the disciples heard this, many of them said, This is a hard and difficult and strange saying (an offensive and unbearable message). Who can stand to hear it? [Who can be expected to listen to such teaching?] John 6:60

What were they thinking when Jesus spoke these words? How would you have responded if you were in their shoes? “Eat my flesh, drink my blood”!!! They never realized Jesus was speaking about spiritual things. They never realized Jesus knew the future! He was speaking life and they didn’t even know it! How the disciples were tested constantly! We are not called to understand everything about the God we serve but called to trust Him no matter what even when our understanding is limited.
The abundant healing’s Jesus performed. Matthew 8
Part of Jesus mission was to heal us. The disciples saw Him heal people on a daily basis. What were they thinking?
And behold, a leper came up to Him and, prostrating himself, worshipped Him, saying, Lord, if You are willing, You are able to cleanse me by curing me.
And He reached out His hand and touched him, saying, I am willing; be cleansed by being cured. And instantly his leprosy was cured and cleansed.”Matthew 8:2,3
Did they ever come to a realization that He was The Healer! Did they ever make the connection that Jesus wanted to heal them soul, body and spirit? He was “willing” to heal and He is still “willing” to heal us today! He is our Healer. He has not changed His plan for us

The death of Jesus (hope lost) Luke 24:13- 20
That same day two of them were walking to the village Emmaus, about seven miles out of Jesrusalem.
They were deep in conversation, going over all these things  that had happened.”

Then our high priests and leaders betrayed him, got him sentenced to death and crucified him. And we had our hopes up that He was the One, the One about to deliver Israel.

The disciples had lost all hope of victory. Their savior had been crucified. What were they thinking? Did they know the story would turn out differently? Did they know His death would save the entire world? Did they give up on Jesus by ignoring what He told them while He was still alive? Did they dare to believe something as crazy as resurrection?
In their darkest hour, when their chances seemed dim, the greatest victory man would ever experience in ALL of history was about to take place. Jesus death signified His love for them and for us, they just didn’t realize it yet. What were they thinking? Did they regret following Jesus? Were they confused? Were they in despair?
When all hope was lost or so it seemed Jesus had a plan. In the midst of death, life was to emerge. You might have lost hope like the disciples but God has a plan. The darkness you see is not really darkness! Trust Him!

I honestly could go on and on but I will stop here. The disciples went though a lot. They had a lot to digest, a lot to learn but God was faithful to them! As He was faithful to them He is faithful to us. Let us take comfort in that fact. We may not understand all He is doing, but we must trust Him. It took the disciples a while to get with the program but eventually they did. Each and every one of them was martyred for their faith in a God. Let us trust in The Lord…..Amen
Rolain.

Nine months later…….

When Uriah’s wife heard that her husband was dead, she grieved for her husband. When the time

of mourning was over, David sent someone to bring her to his house. She became his wife and bore him a son.

But God was not at all pleased with what David had done,

1 Samuel 12:26, 27

We all know what happened here. David slept with Bathsheba, Uriah’s wife but to cover it up he got Uriah

who was a faithful solider to him killed! Bathsheba may not have known what David did but the point is she became the king’s wife. She may not have had a say in any of this either. A king was free to do whatever he wanted in those days.

When I read this story a thought came to me. Between Uriah being killed to Bathsheba giving birth to a son was

at least nine months. I don’t know how long the time of mourning was but all we know is it was at least nine months

when all this took place. David was in sin for nine months! He knew taking someone’s wife was sin. He knew murder

was a sin. David loved God. He had an intimate relationship with Him but David was blinded in this season. This post is

not about how bad David was. We are all sinners. David sinned but so do we.

What I want to show you though is how as sinners sin can destroy us. During this ‘nine months’ we hear nothing.

There is no Psalm that we read during that period! We don’t hear of David’s exploits during that time. Nothing was recorded during that time. David was in sin and he didn’t even know it!

If that could happen to David, a man after God’s heart then surely it could happen to us. And please note, David

didn’t snap out of it by himself. He didn’t realize what he was doing by himself. God intervened!!!! If God did not intervene who knows how long it would of gone on for?

And this is what this post is about……God intervened!

God did not leave David in his sin. He saved him. By God’s grace David was disciplined and forgiven! That is good news for us indeed.

We will do crazy things and left to our own we will not win, BUT……But God does not leave us to ourselves. He is watching over us.

He has extended His grace and mercy to us! We serve a really great God! He sent His son to die for us!

I was so encouraged when I got that revelation. God is for me and no matter how crazy it gets God will help me. I hope it’s an encouragement to you as well.

Generous in love – God, give grace!

Huge in mercy – wipe out my bad record.

Scrub away my guilt,

soak out my sins in Your laundry.

I know how bad I’ve been;

my sins staring me down.

Psalm 51:1-3

But that is not the end of the story. God turned this dark and terrible situation for good.

David went and comforted his wife Bathsheba. And when he slept with her, they conceived a son. When the son was born they

named him Solomon. God had a special love for him and sent word by Nathan the prophet that God wanted him named Jedidiah (God’s beloved).

2 Samuel 12:24, 25

Solomon would not have been born if David and Bathsheba never met. I am not saying what David did was right. He sinned! What I am trying to say though is God turned a bad thing into something wonderful. And He will do the same thing for us. We may think our sin is too much and God cannot use us but that is not true. God has forgiven you and will turn what the enemy meant for death into life…..

He has amazing things for you despite what you have done. Sin does not define who you are anymore, God’s grace does. He is a truly amazing God!!!
