We Have Access To God, Always.

“And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.

And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from top to bottom.”

Mark 15:37, 38

Jesus died on the cross so He could repair the bridge that had been destroyed in the beginning when Adam sinned.

When Adam sinned we were separated from God and that face to face intimate relationship was gone.

The new way of communication was a high priest who was the only one allowed into God’s presence, once a year.

So imagine having a need and not being able to pray directly to God. No matter what you were facing, you had to go to the high priest and tell him what you were going through, not God.

It’s so easy to take what we have been given for granted. But let’s not forget how privileged and blessed we are, to be able to enter God’s presence! We don’t need to wait for anyone if we are going through hard times. We can go boldly before His throne. We have been given an all access pass into His presence.

Because of what Jesus did, the door is open to us, not closed. The enemy would like us to believe that our sins disqualify us from entering God’s presence. He uses guilt and condemnation to achieve that purpose. But the door is wide open for us to run boldly into His presence to receive mercy and forgiveness.

Let’s not shrink back and try to go at life alone when the door is wide open for us. If we need help, the door is open. If we need strength, the door is open. For whatever we need, His door is open. He wants us to go to Him. That’s why the door is open.

You have an all access pass into God’s presence and not a day’s visa so use it!

On another note, I have started another blog. The blog was inspired by my other passion, children.

I have been serving in my church’s children’s ministry for fifteen plus years and still going on strong.

I will be talking about the experiences I have, lessons learned and mistakes made. The blog will also be focused on parents so I will be creating content for them too. I will posting bible lessons I have created, games I have played with children, activity sheets I have created and much more. So if you are a parent, or are serving in children’s ministry or you work with children then this blog is for you. I have left the link down below so head over there and follow me. I would appreciate it much.

The curtain is torn!

“With a loud cry, Jesus breathed His last.

The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.”

Mark 15:37, 38

I was really encouraged this week as I read this scripture. In the old testament the high priest was

the only one who could go into the Holy of Holies but once a year. (Exodus 26:31, Leviticus 16:2)

The people could not go to YAH on their own because they would die if they did. They needed a

mediator.

“The Lord said to Moses, “Tell your brother Aaron that he is not to come whenever he chooses

into the Most Holy Place behind the curtain in front of the atonement cover on the ark, or else

he will die.”

Leviticus 16:2

That was intense. There were was no open communication between YAH and the people

but Yeshua tore that barrier down by what He did on the cross.

We now have access to YAH anytime because of what He did.

I know this is not rocket science but do we really take FULL advantage of this amazing blessing?

We can go to YAH anytime. In the middle of the night, when things are going downhill, when

we have sinned and are riddled with guilt, when we feel condemned…….

We can come to Him anytime! There is never a bad time to approach Him!

If you think there are specific times you can go to Him then you have been deceived, if you

think there are people that have more reason to approach Him than you then you are also wrong.

The curtain has been torn in two. The barrier that kept us from Him has been demolished forever.

This week has been great because I have been taking more advantage of the amazing blessing

of His presence. To know I can talk to Him at ANYTIME has brought joy to me.

When I think I am alone, He is right by my side waiting to spend time with me.

The problem is me. I am the one who allows things to come between us. I choose other things

in place of spending time with Him

And then there are the times when I mess up, when I sin. I keep away from Him at times thinking

He doesn’t want to be anywhere near me but its just not true.

As I end this post I want to leave you with the realization that the line of communication between you

and YAH is open! You don’t have to wait for the right time to approach Him.

Go to Him now as you are.

He loves you so much, beyond what you can ever comprehend.

“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive

mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

Hebrews 4:16

Bless you friends

A Christmas tale about a broken bridge…..

Christmas is around the corner. I love everything about Christmas, from the carols being played all around, the spirit of giving, the joy, the food, the weather, kids waiting in anticipation for their gifts from Santa, the Christmas trees, the Christmas decorations and more……I could go on and on. Christmas is about all those things but it goes deeper than that.
To know and understand the real meaning of Christmas we need to go back a few thousand years to the time of Adam and Eve.

They lived in harmony with God. They had an amazing relationship with God. God communed with them on a daily basis. Everything was perfect until the enemy deceived them. The bridge between man and God was broken and it looked like the enemy had won. Man no longer had direct access to God. The relationship that man had in the garden of Eden was broken. The communication line had been severed or so it seemed. The intimacy was lost. Man was truly abandoned or so it seemed, but………

God had a plan all along. His son Jesus was the embodiment of that plan. Jesus came to repair what had been destroyed. He came to restore a long lost relationship. Because of what Jesus did we were restored. Because of Jesus we were saved. The enemy who thought he had won found out he actually lost the battle! He was defeated. The bridge was repaired never to be destroyed ever again. Man could finally come freely to God.

This is why Christmas is so important. It’s not just about Santa and all the other things I mentioned. It’s a reminder to us about a relationship restored. Realize, the bridge has been repaired. You and everybody else can come to Him. He made it possible and this is what Christmas reminds me off. I have been challenged to engage God more starting this Christmas, actually starting now leading to Christmas and after. The world needs to know the bridge has been repaired. The lost need to know, the lonely need to know, the abandoned need to know. When Christ was born it signified a start of something new. Things would never be the same. It is true for you as well. Because Christ came and died for you things will never be the same for you. You are in a better place. And Christmas is a time to remember that. The bridge has been repaired. Christ is waiting. You can come to Him any hour of the day. Bring your worries to Him. Bring your pain, bring everything to Him. He is waiting for you to come to Him. Re-establish communication with Him. This is a call to us all. I am reminding myself! I have let so many things distract me from Christ. When I could of prayed I watched television, or hung out with friends, went onto Facebook, picked up a novel, got lost in my own thoughts……I did everything but spend time with Him. But the bridge has been repaired and Christmas reminds us of this. Will you heed the call? Will you focus on Him, draw near to Him?

As I end I would like to leave you with a statement that really spoke to me from a fellow blogger and friend. She hit the nail on the head when she made the statement. Here it is:

The
world makes us think that presents
and gifts are essential in Christmas
season, but the truth is, Jesus
didn’t come to just give us another
festive season, He came to give us a
life that is full of wholesomeness,
awesomeness and happiness.
