The Enemy’s Plan For You, Will Be Defeated.

What happens to the enemy’s plans for us?

Because truth be told, he has plans to take us out.

He doesn’t want us to succeed but there is good news for us in the Word of God.

The bible has the real truth. The enemy’s plans will not succeed over us.

Take David for instance. He had to flee from Absalom for a season and to make matters worse

his counselor Ahithophel had sided with Absalom which was really bad news for David.

Ahithophel was David’s trusted advisor. He was wise and knew David really well, the way

he worked, his family, how he thought and so much more. He was not the guy to go up

against.

Anyway, he had a plan to eliminate David and went to Absalom to tell him his plan.

Everyone loved his plan but before it could be green lit they called Hushai (another of David’s

counsellors) to hear what his plan would be. Earlier on in the story, David sent him back

in the hope to overthrow the counsel of Ahithophel.

So when they called Hushai they asked him what his plan would be and they loved his plan.

They thought it was better than Ahithophel’s plan. So they decided to go with his plan.

And this is the lesson I want to get across.

Ahithophel’s plan to eliminate David was better than Hushai’s. The word tells us so.

“Then Absalom and all the men of Israel said, “Hushai’s advice is better than Ahithophel’s.

For the Lord had determined to defeat the counsel of Ahithophel, which really was the better

plan, so that he could bring disaster on Absalom!”

2 Samuel 17:14, 15

So if Absalom and his men had listened to Ahithophel’s counsel they would have managed to

destroy David and his men BUT….

Because God was with David, He overthrew the counsel of Ahithophel. David would not be eliminated

by the enemy’s plan because God was watching over him and protecting him.

And like David, God will frustrate and stop the enemy’s plan for you. His plans will not succeed

over you.

No weapon formed against you will prosper the word tells us.

So don’t fear when the enemy rises against you to destroy you. The Lord will never allow the enemy

to be victorious over you and that is good news!

So trust God no matter how intense the battle gets because He is protecting you and watching over you.

No plan of the enemy will succeed over you.

Blessings to you.

What do you have faith for today?

More than ever we need to walk by faith. And as we come to the end of 2020 and enter 2021

I believe God has amazing plans and new things in store for us but we can only receive those

things by faith. We are not going to achieve God’s plans for our lives by our flesh. The only way we are

going to do it is by faith.

But our faith is under attack. The enemy doesn’t want us to walk by faith. He wants us to be in fear, anxiety,

doubt and so many other things. And with that I want to touch on two things that can stop us from

walking by faith.

  1. Make sure you don’t let someone else’s lack of faith determine your faith.

There is so much negativity around us. So many people are negative because of the things that are happening

but if you are going to walk by faith you need to be careful who and what you are listening to, and what you are

watching.

There are a lot of things in the world if accepted that can hurt your faith.

A perfect example of this is found in the story of the Israelites when they were at the door of the promise

land.  They sent out twelve spies who went to spy out the land. When they came back only two people,

Joshua and Caleb were fully convinced God had given the enemy over to them. They were ready to go

claim what God promised them but the other ten spies saw things very differently. They were fearful,

and they doubted God and because of their lack of faith they influenced an entire nation to reject what

God promised them! That is a sobering thought.

How different it would have been if they listened to Joshua and Caleb.

What narrative are you following?

The world has a narrative it wants you to follow that is contrary to the narrative God has.

The only narrative you should be following is what God has told you and shown you in His Word

and times you have spent with Him in prayer.

       2. For faith to work make sure you are looking at what God has and what He can do instead of

looking at what man has. If you base your faith on what man has, you will limit yourself and your faith.

God is the One you should be looking to always. He has everything you need.

He sees the whole picture and knows what is best for you. Resolve in your hearts to look to Him

more as you enter 2021.

God has amazing things in store for you.

It’s time to crank up your faith dial to a hundred and you do that by getting into His word and by spending

more time with Him. He wants to give you everything He has prepared for you so get rid of the things

that are stopping you from trusting Him fully. It’s not going to be easy but the journey is worth it.

Keep trusting Him always!

“Welcome back to reality”?!

“Welcome back to reality” was what a friend said to me a day after returning back from Kenya.

I had gone to Kenya for about two weeks and it was hard going to a place that is improving and growing

while things at home are stagnant.

Kenya is growing rapidly and stuff works which is the total opposite in my country.

Anyway, the day after my return one of my friends said “welcome back to reality”

I was really bothered by that statement. When he saw my resistance he said it again. I rejected his

statement completely.

I didn’t want to make the circumstances in my country my reality.

Before I went to Kenya had I made them a reality? Maybe I did but I wanted that to change.

What’s your reality? Is it in line with what God promised you or is it something entirely different?

We are constantly being pushed to take on a reality that is not what God has for us. We have settled

for a reality that is way below the level God would have us live at.

Think about the man who was crippled for 38 years (John 5:1-17). What was his reality? Did he ever see himself

healed in his reality?

Was hopelessness his reality?

We need to take a deeper look at the reality we live by. Who gave us the reality we are currently living by?

It’s so easy to adopt a way of thinking, a way of speaking, a way of living.

The good news is this, the reality we are living by can change.

That’s what happened to the man who was crippled. For 38 years he was living in a reality that

was not God’s reality. God wanted him healed and living a full life.

The enemy on the other hand wanted him bound. he wanted him living in hopelessness.

But Jesus came and changed his reality.

We have hope friends.

You don’t have to accept the reality you are living by today.

The limitations people have put on you don’t have to be your reality.

The circumstances you live in don’t have to be your reality.

God can and wants you to live by His truth. His truth is liberating. His truth is full of life,

joy, peace and so much more goodness.

What is your reality? Let God determine what your reality is.

There is so much He has in store for you.

Bless you,friends.

He wants us to win…..

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

I had this thought today that I needed to share with you.

It brings YAH joy when we win, when we are victorious. He wants to see us win.

He is not happy when we in pain, losing, failing, in despair.

He wants us to be victorious, to prosper, to succeed.

Paul as he neared the end of his life made a bold proclamation,

“I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith.

Now, a crown is waiting for me. I will get that crown for being right with God.

The Lord is the judge rightly, and He will give me the crown on that Day.”

2 Timothy 4:7

The Lord gave Paul the victory. He helped Paul to win and that is why he spoke so boldly.

The Lord wanted Paul to win and the enemy wanted him to fail, but never succeeded in derailing

him. Paul would fall yes, but the Lord lifted him up. He never stayed down. The Lord was

with him in those times that felt like he had lost.

We are not alone friends. The Lord’s desire is for us to win, to be victorious.

Don’t be discouraged. The Lord is on your side helping you.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Blessings to you friends….

There is another level…….

“Arise [from depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you – rise to a

new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory

of the Lord has risen upon you”

Isaiah 60:1

There is another level to move up to in the new year.

This is what has been on my mind in the past few weeks. The level I have been on has been great

for the things I have done so far but that needs to change.

This isn’t about new year resolutions. This is about my life and your life.

Consider this, there is another level, a higher level to operate from than the one you are now.

In your relationship with God, there is another level you can go to. You can go deeper in your

relationship with Him.

There is a new level of revelation, a new level of sensitivity to His voice, a new level of hunger for

His word, a new level of prayer you can go to…..

In your career, there is another level you can go to, in your personal life, there is a new level of

growth you can go to.

I could go on and on but I think you get the picture.

We need to understand God has more in store for us, so we don’t stop dreaming, so we don’t

stop aspiring. No matter your age, it’s not time to slow down. It is time to pick it up, it’s time to

advance, it’s time to pursue, it’s time to engage because there is more, there is another level for us.

Our light is growing brighter and brighter.

“But the path of the [uncompromisingly] just and righteous is like the light of dawn,

that shines more and more (brighter and clearer) until [it reaches its full strength and glory in]

the perfect day [to be prepared].

Proverbs 4:18

So what about doubts, limitations, hesitations, fears and a host of other things that are holding us

back from going to the new level? They are not going to just sit back and let that happen without a fight.

I can’t ignore the fact that it’s because of those things I am still on this level. I have been too weak

to advance on my own. I failed countless times. So why would this be different?

Aren’t I doomed already? Aren’t we all doomed to fail?

That would be true if we were trying to do this in our own strength. YAH is with us and no matter the

amount of times we have fallen and failed He has picked us up and will continue to.

We can’t give up, we can’t lose hope!

YAH will take us to the new level if we truly look to Him.

Even though we haven fallen we still have hope! The things that have held us back will not be able to

hold us back for ever. YAH will win for us because He has already won the war.

Trust Him, cry out to Him for your life.

You don’t have to remain in the same place. It’s time to arise……..

“Arise [from depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you – rise to a

new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory

of the Lord has risen upon you”

Isaiah 60:1

Blessings to you friends!

What about the little things…..?

“He who is faithful in a very little [thing] is faithful also in much,

and he who is dishonest and unjust in a very little [thing] is

dishonest and unjust also in much. “

Luke 16:10-12

How much value do you put on the little things you are doing right now?

In other words, how much value do you put on the responsibilities you have

been given right now (no matter how small) as you pursue the grand dreams YAH

has put in your heart?

The things we are doing now that we think are insignificant and small play a very

big role in the scope of our purpose and calling.

As I read Luke 16:10-12 I saw something that I don’t think I fully grasped before.

He who is faithful in a very little thing IS faithful also in much [emphasis mine]

I never fully grasped that before. This scripture is not only saying I will be given

more because I am faithful with the very little but it’s saying, he is who is faithful

with very little IS faithful with much!

We need to take the little things we are responsible over more seriously.

You will be faithful with the big things only if you are faithful with the little

things!

What you do with the very little things determines everything!

And that is why you need to be faithful with the little things YAH puts in your hands.

Since reading that verse I have been looking at the things I am struggling to be faithful in.

If I remain unfaithful the word is clear,

“and he who is dishonest and unjust in a very little [thing] is dishonest and unjust also

in much”

You may think what you do now doesn’t matter but it does matter. It has an impact on your

purpose. If you are reckless and irresponsible now, that means you will be reckless and

irresponsible with the big things. Those attitudes won’t automatically go away because you have

been given more responsibility. You need to look at those things that are stopping you from being

faithful and work on them. Bring them before YAH and allow Him to work on you.

We need to change the way we look at what we are doing. It is important. Don’t disregard

the responsibilities you have in this time.

Always remember that if you are faithful with the little things you ARE faithful with the big things!

Bless you

Will you say “yes” to Him?

“Now there was in Damascus a disciple named Ananias.

The Lord said to him in a vision, Ananias. And he answered,

Here am I, Lord.

And the Lord said to him, Get up and go to the street called

Straight and ask at the house of Judas for a man of Tarsus

named Saul, for behold, he is praying [there].”

Acts 9:10, 11

I hope we all know the story of Ananias. God spoke to him

to go to Paul. At that time Paul was causing great suffering

among God’s people. He was imprisoning them and killing

them.

So when God told Ananias to go to Saul it was not

surprising he had reservations about going to him.

“But Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard many people

tell about this man, especially how much evil and what

great suffering he has brought on Your saints at Jerusalem;

Now he is here and has authority from the high priest to

put in chains all who call upon Your name. “

Acts 9:13, 14

But read what God tells him,

“But the Lord said to Him, Go, for this man is a chosen

instrument of Mine to bear My name before the Gentiles

and kings and the descendants of Israel; “

Acts 9:15

But I love how Ananias responded to God,

“So Ananias left and went into the house. And he laid his

hands on Saul and said, Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus,

Who appeared to you along the way by which you came here,

has sent me that you may recover your sight and be filled

with the Holy Spirit. “

Acts 9:17

Ananias said yes to God! That’s all that mattered to him at the

end of the day.

I share that story to show you that God uses simple, ordinary,

obedient people to carry out His will!

You don’t have to be anyone grand, you just need to be obedient!

I don’t know about you but I want to be used more by God.

I don’t want fear to stop me.

Ananias may have been afraid but that didn’t stop him from

obeying God.

We are God’s hands and feet in this earth.

So the question is, are we obeying His voice or are we

expecting someone else to answer His call?

Do we think we are too insignificant to be used by Him?

That is a lie from the enemy.

God loves you and wants to use you in a mighty way.

He is not waiting for you to become a millionaire to use you,

He is not waiting for you to get your life “sorted” out before

He can use you.

Please understand something, without God’s grace and favor

on our lives we wouldn’t be able to do anything.

But we have been filled with His holy Spirit and that

means we can do anything no matter our past, no matter

our skin color, no matter what people label us as.

Remember Gideon

Remember Moses

Remember Peter

Remember Mary

Remember Rahab

These people were not qualified according to the world’s

standards.

They were nobodies but not to God.

He saw them differently.

He saw greatness in them.

He validated them and that was the most important thing!

The word today is simple, God needs you!

He wants to use you.

You are His hands and feet.

He is looking to and fro across the earth to see who will say “yes”

to Him!

Will you say “yes” to Him today??

Bless you friends….

How to make your life count……

Do you want to stand out? Then step down.

Be a servant. If you pull yourself up, you’ll

get the wind knocked out of you.

But if you’re content to simply be yourself, your life

will count for plenty.

Matthew 23:11-12 (MSG)

I really love this. To stand out in the world, we do crazy

things to get people’s attention. The world teaches us to

push whoever is in our way, we are taught that the other

person doesn’t matter, we are taught to tear down anyone

who is better than us, steal, cheat and a whole host of other

things must be implemented if we are to stand out but that

is just not true!

To stand out we must be willing to step down and …….

BE A SERVANT!!

Standing out is about putting others first. It is about sacrificing

what you want to help someone else. It is about serving others.

God will make a way for you when you truly stand out!

Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and yet He came to

serve. He didn’t force people to worship Him but instead He came

to serve. He didn’t seek the limelight. Standing out requires

humbleness. There is no way you can truly stand out if you

are proud.

The true heart of a believer always wants to serve.

The limelight is not the most important thing in his or her life.

Pleasing God is the most important thing.

Will you truly stand out for God today?
