How does God deal with our shortcomings?

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

“For He knows our frame, He [earnestly] remembers and imprints [on His heart] that

we are dust. “

Psalms 103:14

God is not a task master. He isn’t looming over us with a stick waiting for us to

trip up so He can inflict punishment.

Like the word says, “He knows our frame, He [earnestly] remembers and imprints [on

His heart] that we are dust.”

He knows we are weak. He knows we are not smart enough.

He knows how fragile we are.

But what happens is that we forget God knows we are dust and we crush

ourselves when we fall. We think our sin catches Him off guard but it doesn’t.

He knows our weaknesses and struggles.

The word is clear about how we should look at our weaknesses,

“Three times I called upon the Lord and besought [Him] about this  and begged

that it might depart from me;

But He said to me, My grace  (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough

for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully];

for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show

themselves most effective in [your] weakness.

Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that

the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over

and dwell) upon me!

2 Corinthians 12:9

God knows our frame so like Paul we need to embrace our weaknesses.

Like Paul we need to gladly glory in our weaknesses and infirmities.

God’s power and strength are made perfect in our weaknesses.

So as I end this post remember that God knows our frame, He

knows we are dust. We don’t have to put on a facade for Him.

He is not impressed with our show of strength. He wants to be

our strength, period!

Bless you

An honor that didn’t appear to be an honor…..

“A certain man from Cyrene, Simon, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was passing

by on his way in from the country, and they forced him to carry the cross. “

Mark 15:21

It’s Passover week and what a significant week it is.

The Passover is not just a Jewish holiday but it’s a holiday for the entire body of Christ.

It is the Lord’s festival! (Exodus 12:1-14)

I pray and hope you are aware that Easter is not

our holiday. It’s a pagan holiday. I won’t go into it much but what I will do is ask you to search.

There is loads of information about the origins of Easter.

Please don’t take my word for it. Go search for it. After that, make a decision.

Here is one link but there is more, so much more! Click here.

I want to take the time to talk about Simon

who was graced with one of the greatest honor’s which at the time didn’t appear to be.

The Roman soldiers thought they were disgracing him but they were so wrong.

Simon was forced to carry the cross for Yeshua!

The world thinks we are crazy for following the Lord but it’s our greatest honor!

On this Passover week I want to remind you to take up your cross daily!

It’s our honor not a disgrace.

Is it easy carrying our cross daily? No!

As I close I want to leave you with an article that really ministered to me.

I hope you will be ministered as you read it.

The man who carried the cross of Yeshua!

God bless you

Puzzles and life…..

For some of you that may not know, I work at my church’s

children’s ministry. I really love it there. It’s more than a job

to me. This is part of what I was created to do – working with

children.

So today I had to sort out a few puzzles in preparation for Sunday.

To be honest, I was a bit worried about the puzzles.

Let me just say it’s being a “while” since I played with

traditional puzzles.

I was worried I had forgotten to assemble a puzzle.

I would never hear the end of the story if I failed to assemble

the puzzles…haha

Start I did and rocky it was. Panic started to set in!

Before I got carried away I spotted the pictures on the side of the

box.

What a difference it made. Because of the pictures I

assembled all the pictures at once.

It was at that moment I realized how powerful a picture is!

Have you got a picture of where you want to go in life?

Are you holding up a picture of what you want your life to be

or are you on auto pilot at the moment, an anything goes attitude?

A picture makes all the difference!

And we are very fortunate because the Lord has pictures for us.

He has a plan and purpose for our lives (Jeremiah 29:11)

When you have a picture for your life you will not be easily

side tracked. You have purpose and are focused when you have

a picture.

And make sure the picture you have is one God gave you and

not what people have given you. People’s plans for you will always

fall short of what God has in store for you.

As I close I want to challenge you to seek the Lord for the

picture. He has amazing plans for your life so don’t go

through life without a picture in front of you.
