What I spoke in trouble…..

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

believe-in-god

“I believed (trusted in, relied on, and clung to my God),

and therefore I have spoken [even when I said], I am greatly

afflicted. “

Psalm 116:10

Whatever you are believing for speak out.

Even in the most difficult of situations speak out what

you believing for.

The key is to always speak out what you trusting God for no

matter how impossible it seems.

Easier said than done. (it’s such a fight to speak out what God

has put in your heart)

Don’t let the circumstances around you silence you.

Open your mouth and speak.

As you believe, speak!

God bless you friends!

He cares about purpose.

purpose

“Those who had seen it told them how the man who had been demon-possessed had been healed.

Then all the people of the country of the Gerasenes and the surrounding district asked Him to leave them, because they were overwhelmed with fear. So Jesus got into the boat and returned [to the west side of the Sea of Galilee].

But the man from whom the demons had gone out kept begging Him, pleading to go with Him; but Jesus sent him away, saying,

“Return home and tell [about] all the great things God has done for you.” So the man went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.

Luke 8:36-39

The man who had been delivered begged Jesus to take him

but Jesus said no! What an asset he could of been

if he had gone with Jesus. What a testimony he had but Jesus

said no! The man was just beginning to get to know the Savior

and he would know so much more if he had gone with him

but Jesus said no!

It might be hard to understand but this is what the man

had been born for. He was to declare the great things the Lord

had done in his life and he did. Jesus cared about the man’s

destiny and wanted him to accomplish it!

“But the man from whom the demons had gone out kept begging Him, pleading to go with Him; but Jesus sent him away, saying, “Return home and tell [about] all the great things God has done for you.” So the man went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.”

Luke 8:38, 39

Jesus wanted the man to accomplish his purpose. He wasn’t

being cruel. He knew what would happen if the man obeyed

and stayed. A lot of people would have their lives changed forever!

A lot of people would get to know Jesus through the

man’s testimony! That was his purpose. That’s why he had to stay!

Let’s bring it home.

Jesus has a purpose for you and He wants you to

accomplish it.

A lot of people will be saved when you do what He has created you

to do and a lot of people will get to know Him because of the great

things He has done in your life.

As I end I want to leave you with a thought,

are you walking in what God has purposed you to do? People

lives are going to be changed as you do…….

Bless you

A father’s faith??

“And blessed (happy, to be envied) is she who believed that

there would be a fulfillment of the things that were spoken

to her from the Lord.”

Luke 1:45

Do you believe that EVERYTHING God promised you will

come to pass?

Mary was called blessed because she believed God would

fulfill everything He promised her.

Things didn’t go too well for Zechariah, John’s father. He

didn’t believe the words of an angel who had been sent by God.

He didn’t think God could accomplish what He promised.

“Now behold, you will be and will continue to be silent and

not be able to speak till the day when these things take place,

because you have not believed what I told you;

but my words are of a kind which will be fulfilled in the

appointed and proper time.”

Luke 1:20

I think there was more to Zechariah being silenced. Yes, he

didn’t believe the words of the angel but I think there was

an additional reason.

I think it was to Zechariah’s benefit he was silenced. I believe

he would of talked himself out of faith in God. Because he

didn’t believe, he would have spoken about how impossible

God’s promise seemed.

As we believe in the Lord we need to watch how we speak.

Our words have power and they can do some real damage if

not checked.

What God promises He brings to pass.

“And listen! Your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also

conceived a son, and this is now the sixth month with her

who was called barren.

For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from

God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment. ”

Luke 1:36, 37

Today, I am challenging you to believe what the Lord has

promised you will come to pass. It will be fulfilled.

I am challenging me too…….

As Mary was blessed because she believed God would fulfill

what He promised her so it is with you and me. You are blessed

when you believe!

Zechariah had time to reflect on what he did. Look at what

happened when he was able to speak again,

“And at once his mouth was opened and his tongue loosed, and

he began to speak, blessing and praising and thanking God.”

Luke 1: 64

Was that how he was supposed to respond the first time he

heard the promise?

What are you speaking in this season of waiting for the

promise to be fulfilled? Are you talking yourself out of faith?

Are you blessing, praising and thanking the Lord??

I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to watch your

words. God will fulfill His promise to you but your negative

words can disqualify you.

Just recently I was the one speaking negatively. But a friend

brought me back to the right place…..faith. Thank God for a

friend like that. My faith was ignited again as I was reminded

of the truth I am sharing with you.

God will fulfill everything He promised you friend.

He won’t abandon you. He won’t leave you stranded.

You are blessed when you believe God will fulfill all He has

promised you…..Amen!

Take responsibility for your life……

image

Hi everyone!

I have a question I would like to ask you?

Are you responsible?

I would guess the majority of you if not all of you would say yes.

I too would like to think I am responsible. I pay my bills, I make

sure everything that is supposed to be working is working.

So to sum it up I think I am quite responsible.

But something happened a few days ago to make me question

that. Let me tell you about it…..

A few days ago…..

A friend asked me to go with him to get his car looked at by a

mechanic. My friend had a mechanic but he wanted a second opinion

hence his trip to a second mechanic.

The news wasn’t good. The mechanic told my friend about other

problems that needed immediate attention. The mechanic asked

my friend a few questions about some of the problems. From the

mechanic’s point of view some of the problems could of been

avoided if my friend took a little more interest in his car.

My friend defended himself. He told the mechanic he wasn’t good

with cars and didn’t understand them. That is why he had a

mechanic in the first place.

The mechanic asked him about another problem but my friend

had no clue how to answer.

Ever time he was asked something he would blame the mechanic.

After we left my friend and I started talking.

We drew a few crucial conclusions from what just happened.

Responsibility and accountability.

My friend didn’t know anything about cars but that didn’t mean

he had to give up responsibility to his mechanic. By doing that

he was giving up accountability. He was no longer accountable

for his car because he had given the responsibility to his mechanic

and that is why he had no answers for the second mechanic.

Crazy right!

Let me me take it a bit further. We do this in life.

It goes something like this,

I can’t be all that God wants me to be in my country because

of what’s going on. The government is not giving me opportunities

to succeed.

It’s my parents fault that I am where I am. They never let me do

anything.

My pastor never singles me out. If he did I would do better!

And so so on and so on……

We need to take responsibility for our lives.

God is our Lord and He wants us to take responsibility of our

lives. That’s why we have the Holy Spirit. He doesn’t want us giving

away responsibility to anyone else.

Remember, when you give someone else responsibility say for example

to succeed, you automatically give up accountability to that person.

It’s good to have mentors, coaches, pastors and teachers but they

are not responsible for who you will become. They have a say in it but

not the final say. You are the one who decides!

It has to start with you. You are the one who must take responsibility.

You are accountable for your life and no other man.

There is only one person qualified to be responsible for you

and that’s Jesus!

As I close I would like you to think about your life.

Have you given up responsibility for it to a system, government, or

people?

The only person you should be surrendering to is Jesus. He has an

amazing plan for your life. He created it!!!  Apart from Him there

is no one else you should be surrendering to. I am not talking about

revolting against leadership or refusing to learn from people.

That’s not what I am saying.

I am challenging you to take responsibility for your life.

You decide to learn, you decide to work hard, to go deeper into God, to

be all that God has for you. You do that. Don’t wait for someone

to come and do those things for you.

Bless you friends….

When my faith is weak.

he will make a way

“As He came near Jericho, it occured that a blind man was

sitting by the roadside begging.

And hearing a crowd going by, he asked what it meant.

They told him, Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.

And he shouted, saying, Jesus, Son of David, take pity

and have mercy on me!

But those who were in front reproved him, telling him to

keep quiet;

yet he screamed and shrieked so much the more, Son of

David, take pity and have mercy on me!”

Luke 18: 35-39

I needed to be reminded of this story today.

There is something

I need to get done soon and I thought I had put my faith

in God concerning this “thing” but I was wrong.

This “thing” I am trusting God for is big and it has a time

limit on it.

I thought I was trusting God but in my heart I had already

made a decision.

In my heart I had told myself God wasn’t going to answer my

prayer! I know…..crazy!

But this morning in my quiet time God used the scripture I

shared to speak to me.

The blind man was told Jesus was passing by.

But when he shouted out for Jesus attention the crowd

reproved him and tried to silence him.

The crazy thing is this, they knew the man was blind. If there

was anyone that needed a miracle that day it was the blind man

but the crowd tried to keep him silent. They didn’t want him to

see again! That’s cold…..!

I didn’t know it at the time but I was the blind man. I had

a need I was looking to God for but there were voices telling me

to give it up. The voices told me I wasn’t going to get what I

requested. I would rather not pray and pursue God for what

I needed. Dissapointment was sure I heard. The voices

were subtle.

I thought I was trusting God but there were

all these other things going on.

I don’t know how it happened but I let unbelief and doubt

sneek in. They corroded my faith and I didn’t even know it.

But like the blind man I must not give in to the negative

voices around me.

Those voices are not of God.

I can’t throw in the towel.

Yes, it seems impossible

Yes, I have nothing in my hands at the moment

Yes, there doesn’t seem to be an answer but…….

God will come through. He won’t let me down.

The blind man screamed and shrieked for his healing.

He refused to be silenced by the voices.

That’s faith!

You may be in my shoes but I want to assure you that God

is faithful. Don’t give in to the negative voices. Don’t be rational.

Faith is anything but rational.

You must fight to stay in faith.

Because in the end God will come through for you.

As I end I would like you to think about something with me.

Are you still walking in faith or have you succumb to the

voices telling you why that “thing” won’t happen?

Have you listened to the lies that say, God will not answer

your prayer so stop praying and stop believing, just give up?

Take a bit of time to reflect on those questions. Allow the Lord

to show what’s really happening.

God bless you friends!
