4 Reasons Why I Should Ask For Wisdom.

Proverbs 24:3,4 is one of my life scriptures. It really speaks to me every time I read it. And why am I saying that is because I read it this past weekend and as I was reading it I believe God spoke to me and showed me the importance of wisdom. As I was reading my bible this passage of scripture really jumped out at me again. Wisdom is the key to life and this chapter shows us just that. I am going to give you 4 reasons why you should ask for wisdom.

1 – Proverbs 24:3 says; Through skillful and godly wisdom is a house (a life, a home, a family) built, and by understanding it is established [on a sound and good foundation],
And by knowledge shall its chambers [of every area] be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

The first reason we need to ask for wisdom is because by wisdom we build a life, a home and a family. You cannot do it otherwise. I cannot stress enough how important this verse is. Your life will make sense when you have godly wisdom. You cannot rely on your own strength because you will fail. Having all the money is not the answer. It is by SKILLFUL and GODLY wisdom that you build your life.

2 – Proverbs 24:5 says;
A wise man is strong and is better than a strong man, and a man of knowledge increases and strengthens his power.

If you had to make a choice between being physically strong and being wise the bible says being wise is better. A wise man is better than a physically strong man and on top of that he keeps on getting stronger. If you are wise then you are strong and getting stronger.

3 – When we are making important choices what do we do? Do we just decide on the way without praying and seeking advice? Do we rely on ourselves to make choices? A wise person will do what Proverbs 24:6 says,
For by wise counsel you can wage your war, and in an abundance of counselors there is victory and safety.

You can only wage war when you have wisdom. Your chances of winning are extremely high when you have wisdom. Wisdom is seeking the Lord for answers in prayer and asking for advise from men and women of God that you trust! When you do that you can be assured victory in the war that you are waging!!

4 – My son, eat honey, because it is good, and the drippings of the honeycomb are sweet to your taste.
So shall you know skillful and godly Wisdom to be thus to your life; if you find it, then shall there be a future and a reward, and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off. Proverbs 24;13

What a graphic description of what wisdom is supposed to be in your life! The word says if you find wisdom then shall there be a future and a reward for you and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off.
Wisdom is the key to life. We need wisdom if we are to succeed in life. Since I got this revelation I have been asking God for wisdom. God will give wisdom to those who ask. Young boy/girl, please understand the importance of wisdom in your life. You may not know what you want to do with your life but ask God for wisdom. Desire wisdom above money and other worldly things. You will do great things when you have wisdom.

For the rest of us, my desire is that you see how important wisdom is. One of the ways of getting wisdom is by reading and meditating on the word of God. Actually it is the main way. Get hungry for the word. That is wisdom!

Is Your Future Clear?

 

I would like to talk about your future. What is it that God has called you to do? What are the things that you would like to do? What car would you like to drive? Where would you like to live?

What I am trying to get to is this, is your future clear? Do you have a vivid picture of what you want to do and where you want to travel and what car you want to drive and so on?

You need to have a clear picture because you gravitate towards the strongest picture that is in your mind! And the fact is this, you have a picture. The questions you then need to ask yourself is,

–          Is the picture negative or positive?

–          Is the picture that you hold someone else’s?

We have a responsibility in the actualization of our future. If our picture is not clear we have a responsibility to make it clear. If you are running with other people’s dreams then you have a responsibility to cry out to God to give YOU desires and dreams. It is possible!

I have something I would like to make very clear. When it comes to destiny and dreams God won’t show you everything all at once. He will show a little at a time. I honestly don’t think we could handle it if God had to show us everything He has planned for us. We wouldn’t believe it and we would run away from it!!!!

So what I am saying is, in the things God has shown you, make those things clear. In the desires you have make them clear for example, if you want a car what color will it be, what model is it and so on.

Familiarize yourself with your future. Make it so clear that you get to a point where you can taste it!!!

When your future is that clear then you are in the right place.

What Does Having Potential Really Mean?

 

Hey everyone! It has been quite a while since I have written anything, why? It is because I have been in Malaysia for the past two weeks! God came through and I was able to go. I would like to thank everyone who kept encouraging me to keep trusting in God. In the times when my faith was weak your words really helped me. So thank you.

I got so much I would like to share with you. I seen so much and learn t so much, it’s insane! I don’t know where to start. I will write a post very soon about the places I been to, the people I met and the food I ate. I just need to compile my pictures. But for now I will share something that I learn t in Malaysia that really rocked me that is still burning within me.

 

My pastor spoke to our branch in Malaysia on potential and this is what I got.

What is potential? How many of you have been told, you have potential? I have been told that I got potential so many times I have lost count!!!!

But having potential is not the issue because the truth of the matter is, everyone has potential. You have potential, I have potential, and your friends have potential!!!!

The real issue is how much of that potential have you actually actualized???

You may have potential to be a great businessman or businesswoman but how much of that potential have you actualized? It is not enough to have potential, you need to actualize it! That is where a lot of us go wrong because people come to us and tell us they see such potential in us and we think that is enough! But it’s not!!!! I am in this boat as well. I was so convicted when I heard this message. I know God has great plans for me and I know I haven’t even begun to imagine it but have I really taken the time to actualize my potential? Have you taken the time to actualize your potential?

It is time to open our eyes and see the truth. God wants our potential to generate into something tangible and you have a part to play. You have a responsibility, I have a responsibility.

 

Sorry Lord for taking your calling lightly. Sorry for not taking responsibility for what you have given me. I refuse to sit and just do nothing. I make a decision to stand and take responsibility with your help. I need your grace and strength. Thank You Lord, Amen.
