My Life as a second . . . .

How should we view our lives? How important are our lives in the scope of eternity? Another question i would like to ask is how do we view our lives?
Our lives are important but at the same time how we view our lives can determine how we move forward in what God has called us to do.
For a long time i have seen my life as precious and fragile. I have been careful with myself in a lot of things. But i read something a few days ago that changed how i view my life forever. I seen the way God sees my life. The way we see our lives is irrelevant. Instead we should seek to see our lives through the eyes of God. So let me show you how God sees us and our lives:

As a father loves and pities His children, so the Lord loves and pities those who fear Him [with reverance, worship, and awe].
For He knows our frame, He [earnestly] remembers and imprints [on His heart] that we are dust.
As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
For the wind passes over it and it is gone and its place shall know it no more. Proverbs 103:13-16

That is the way God sees our lives. Our lves in the scope of eternity is only but a second! What are we doing with that “second”that will last into eternity? The problem i was having was this, i thought i had lots of time. I thought i had all the time in the world. But our lives are like a flower, here today gone tomorrow. We need to make that “second” count. What is 80 or 90 or even 120 years in the scope of eternity? It is but a second!

There is no time to waste people. You need to get on with what God has called you to do. If you know your calling then get going. If you don’t know what you called to do then seek God and ask Him. He will show you what it is, then get going.
When we view our lives as important and fragile we tend to be very careful in all that we do. We may even begin to procrastinate and become lazy because we think we have all the time in the world. But that’s not true. Our lives are fleeting. It’s like a flower. Here today and gone tomorrow with no proof of it’s exsistence. The things that will stay are the things that God has called us to do. But there is something else, we may not even see a completion of all God has called us to be in our lifetimes. Our children will have to carry it on. Are you building something that will last generations? But that is a subject for another day.
What i am speaking to you about is for me as well. I need this principle to be a part of me. I have been challenged by what God has spoken to me about and i hope you have been challenged as well. Just remember, your life is like a flower which is here today but gone tomorrow. Are you going to do something with your life that will change your world or THE whole world?

Stuttering – The power of affirming yourself.

In my last post on stuttering i spoke about triggers. As a stutterer i found there were triggers i needed to deal with. So in this post i am going to talk about the power of affirming yourself. This is something i have used which has helped enormously.
It’s a fact that we affirm ourselves everyday. We affirm ourselves hundreds of times a day but it’s all subconsciously. How you have been brought up from childhood will determine how you affirm yourself. If you were always brought down as a child and you never dealt with it, that is what you will affirm. You will affirm all the negative stuff. And you will do it without even recognising it. You need to take the time and think about what you think about. You need to think about how you speak to yourself. Record how you speak to yourself.

I grew up being told negative things so when i grew up that is what i affirmed. I would tear myself down. My affirmations were very negative. But that all changed when i was taught how to affirm myself. Please note, this is not an overnight process. It takes a lot of work, dedication and persistence to completetly change the way you think and the way you affirm youself. It is meant to be a lifestyle and not something you do once in a while. Affirming yourself and others positively should be second nature to you. That is what i want you to aspire to. Affirming yourself in a positve way is one of the keys to fluency. You need to learn to affirm what you want to see happen in your life.

Let me show how powerful affirmations are. Mark 5:25 -34 is where i am going to take the example from.
“And there was a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years.
And who had endured much suffering under [the hands of] many physicians and had spent all that she had, and was no better but instead grew worse.
She heard the reports concerning Jesus, and she came up behind Him in the throng and touched His garment,
For she kept saying, If i only touch His garments, i shall be restored to health.
And immediately her flow of blood was dried up at the source, and [suddenly] she felt in her body that she was healed of her [distressing] ailment.
Mark 5:25-29
I am not going to go through all the scriptures. I just want to focus on these verses i have just shared. We see in this passage of scripture that there is a woman who is sick. She has been to doctors, lots of them. She has spent all that she had with no results. She hears about Jesus and is renewed in hope. She goes to meet Him and gets healed! Mark 5:28 tells us that she kept speaking her healing. She was affirming what she wanted to see happen. The word says, “for she kept saying”. You cannot affirm once off. It needs to be a part of you. It needs to be regular. You need to affirm yourself on a regular basis. And that is what she did. And because she did, she got healed.

That is the power of affirmations. To walk in fluency you need to learn to affirm yourself. Learn to affirm others as well. Your words indeed have power. Your words possess the power of life and death.
Fluency comes when you decide to speak life. Remember that it takes time to affirm yourself. It needs to become a habit and only then can you begin to see results.

My Faith and Your Faith – Part 4

My faith and Your faith.
This is the conclusion of this supposedly three part series. I have been speaking about faith and i have tried to define it. I have also spoken about how faith is to be used effectively. Then in my last post i have been speaking about faith in the context of destiny.
So like i said, this is the conclusion of faith in context of our dreams and purpose.

To accomplish your purpose you need faith. I shared Romans 4:16 which said that inheriting our calling is the outcome of faith and depends entirely on faith. As you can see, faith is important.
Once we have decided to trust God we need to hold on. We cannot let anything deter us. Romans 4:18 says:
[For Abraham, human reason for] hope being gone, hoped in faith that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been promised, So [numberless] shall your descendants be.
He did not weaken in faith when he considered the [utter] impotence of his own body, which was as good as dead because he was about a hundred years old, or [when he considered] the barrenness of Sarah’s [deadened] womb.
No unbelief or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God,
Fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to keep His word and to do what He had promised.
That is why his faith was credited to him as righteousness (right standing with God).
Romans 4:18-22. (Amp)

In this passage of scripture we see the power of faith. Abraham had faith in God despite his current circumstances. It didn’t matter that he was a hundred years old or that Sarah was way past the age for having children. He just held on to God’s word. He did not let unbelief or distrust alter his decision.
When you make a decision to trust God you will have doubts and fears but learn from Abraham. Don’t let those things influence your decision making. Instead, look to God.
He had not seen the promise yet but the word says, he was fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to do what He had promised.
It was because of faith that he recieved his promise. It will be because of our faith in God that we will accomplish our destiny.
And with that i end my series on faith. I hope you have seen the importance of faith in your life? I hope you have been challenged as well. God bless.

My faith and Your faith. Part 3

This is the last part of the faith series. This makes up a very small part on the subject of faith. There is so much on it, that i don’t think a single person can declare that he knows everything there is to know on faith.

In this last part i am going to speak about faith concerning your destiny. We are all called to do something. We all have a reason for being on this earth. God created each and everyone of us with a purpose.
Jeremiah 29:11 says: For I know the thoughts and plans that i have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
So even if you don’t believe it, the fact remains, you have a calling and a purpose. A lot of people struggle with finding out what their purpose is. But please note that this post is about the importance of faith in relationship to destiny. This is the foundation to accomplishing your destiny. So even if you don’t know your calling, what i am about to share is important and i do believe it will help you.
I am going to be teaching from Romans 4:13-25.
This portion is talking about Abraham and his calling. I strongly urge you to read the whole chapter and the previous chapter to get the full picture. Let’s move. Romans 4:13 says:
For the promise to Abraham or his poserity, that he should inherit the world, did not come through [observing the commands of] the Law but through the righteousness of faith.
– I need you to understand that Abraham was not given a purpose based on his “works” but because of his faith! Faith in what? Because of his faith in God. You have a purpose. That is a fact, so what you need to do to see it come to completion is have faith in God.
We live in a world where a lot of emphasis is placed on how hard we work. How hard we work determines what we get. We have been taught the importance of independence. We have a lot of people who take pride in been independent. They don’t trust in anyone. They depend on themselves and no one else.
So when they give their lives to God they think they can have the same mindset. Their confidence as christians comes from how hard they work instead of God’s grace. They take pride in the fact they don’t need anyone.
Please get me right. I am not saying that work is bad. Work is needed. God desires us to work with our hands. Without work we would not be able to accomplish our calling. But what has happened over time is that people have relied on the fact that they work hard instead of relying on God. They think their destiny is coming to pass because of the strength of their own hands. They have failed to see it’s because of God’s grace.
We need to be able to see God’s grace operating clearer than our own strength and ability in view of purpose.
Lets move onto Romans 4:16. It says:
Therefore, [inheriting] the promise is the outcome of faith and depends [entirely] on faith, in order that it might be given as an act of grace (unmerited favour), to make it stable and valid and guaranteed to all his descendants – not only to the devotees and adherents of the Law, but also to those who share the faith of Abraham, who is [thus] the father of us all.
– Our calling, our destiny, our purpose, the fulfillment of it is based entirely on FAITH! This passage of scripture is clearly telling us that we need faith to walk in our destiny and the outcome of it depends ENTIRELY on faith. Faith is the key. That is how important it is to us. This is the way it is because we are able to see God’s grace. Because of the way God has ordained it we are able to see His greatness. God also wants us to view our destiny as a gift. God freely gave us this amazing gift. The least we can do is be thankful to Him for giving us this truly amazing gift. And that is why faith is important. It helps us see all these things. We are going to carry on with this topic but it has proved too much to put it all in one post. I will write a fourth post to conclude on faith concerning destiny.
Until then God bless you!!!!

My faith and Your faith- part 2.

In part two of this three part faith series i am going to try and explain how faith should be used.
I am going to base my hypothesis on two scriptures. Let us look at Psalm 84:12 – O Lord of hosts, blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts in You [leaning and believing on You, committing all and confidently looking to You, and that without fear or misgiving]!
The second scripture is very similar to the first scripture that i have just shared.
Incline Your ear, O Lord and answer me, for i am poor and distressed, needy and desiring.
Preserve my life, for i am godly and dedicated; O my God, save Your servant, for i trust in You [leaning and believing on You, committing all and confidently looking to You, without fear or doubt]. Psalm 86:1,2.

These two scriptures have a lot of similarities. But they also contain a very important aspect of faith a lot of us forget.
The first scripture in Psalm 85:12 is talking about how blessed the man is who trusts in God. You are blessed if you trust God according to the word. But the Amplified version goes on and expounds on what it means to trust God. According to the Amplified version trust means to lean on, believe on and confidently look to God without fear and misgivings. That is how trust is defined.

I believe faith really works when we CONFIDENTLY look to God. And the confidence stems from a knowing that God is true to His word and He will never let us down no matter what.
A lot of people have faith but they are in fear. They are struggling with doubt every step of the way. But we need to take it a step further . We may have fear in the midst of our faith but we need to learn to silence it. Fear is a natural reaction but when it begins to get in the way of our faith in God that is when it needs to be dealt with. The second scripture i shared says we should trust God without fear or doubt. These are the two enemies of faith, fear and doubt! These terrible two have the ability to short circuit the blessings of God in our lives. God wants us to trust Him and be confident in His power without succumbing to fear and doubt.
These terrible two need to be destroyed at all costs. They are the reason your faith is not working.
Another thing i want you to see from these two scriptures is that faith is also about attitude. Being confident is not just an external attitude but something internal. It’s about knowing in the deepest part of you that God can be trusted and nothing being able to shake that.
If we say we trust God but we have doubts and fears which are not dealt with then we seriously need to examine our definition of faith.
I remember on various occasions that i would still have fear even after i decided to trust God. I could not understand it. I thought the fear would instantly leave as soon as i made a decision to trust God but i was wrong. It always seemed to be there. Until i realised that i needed to bring that fear under the authority of Jesus Christ. I would still trust God despite the fear i felt and after a while the fear whould lessen. That is what you need to do when you in fear. If doubt comes which i am sure it will you need to hold on to the word He gave you.
So remember, faith works when you are confident that God has heard you and is working on your behalf. It also works when you fight against fear and doubt.
And that concludes the second part of my faith series. I pray it helps you in your walk with God.

My faith and Your faith – Part 1

I am going to talk about faith. A lot has been taught concerning this subject. I have a plethora of information to extract from. So i ask you not to read this post with the attitude of “i have heard it all” but with one of awe and newness. Like this is the first time you have heard faith from my point of view which in actual fact is true. This IS your first time hearing faith from my point of view. So let us begin.

Faith is something we all have as human beings. Christian and non-christian. It is vital to our survival. We use faith everyday. Let me prove it. How many of us just sit down on a chair without even thinking about it. It would look so foolish if we had to inspect the chair before we sat on it. But instead we have faith that it will support us. How many of us drive through traffic lights without even thinking about it? I know it’s green but who says the next driver will obey the red light? But we have faith that the other motorists will obey. We don’t even think about it when we drive through the traffic lights. Are you starting to see how we use faith everday? Without faith it would be almost imossible to live. Let me give you one more example before i move on. How many times have you jumped onto a plane without freaking out that you going to crash. You have faith that the pilot knows exactly what he is doing. The first time is a bit nerve racking but the more you fly the less you feel unsafe. It’s got to a point where you don’t even think about it. You are confident in the pilot. You have faith in his skill. That is why i say we all have faith as human beings. But what matters is where we use our faith.

A lot us have faith in the wrong things. There is a truth that we going to need to accept. You may not like it but it’s true.
Psalm 119:96 says: I have seen that everything [human] has it’s limits and end [no matter how extensive, noble, and excellent]; but Your commandment is exceedingly broad and extends without limits [into eternity].
What do you have faith in? Be guaranteed that if it has anything to do with man it will fail. Man is not perfect and he is apt to make mistakes. How many times have we heard of planes crashing or collisions of vehicles at traffic lights?
Remember the word, “I have seen everything [human] has its limits and end [no matter how extensive, noble, and excellent];”.
You cannot place your trust in man. He will fail you because he is not perfect. Even though he may think he is perfect he is not. Please get this truth in you. It will save you a lot of problems and heartache.

Please understand, i am not saying that you should not have people around you who can help you. People who can support you and be a shoulder to cry on when you need one. We are designed to need each other. It is foolish to think you don’t need anyone. It is foolish to think that you are a sole unit by yourself. What i am talking about is people who look to other things and people and see no other way. Let me say this as well, there is no man or woman who can fulfill you completely! There is no man or woman who can give you everything you need. You cannot get the all the love that you need from the man or woman you love. You cannot get all the support you need. Man was not designed that way. We were designed to be interdependent. We need each other.

I am nearly finished with my introduction. What i am trying to get you to see is this, our faith needs to be in God. Not just any god but the one and true God, the Lord God Almighty. He is the One we were designed for. He is the One who completes us. He is the One who created us. Our faith make sense when we put it in Him. He has no beginning and no end. He is the Creator of the universe. He can be trusted. He will never leave us.
That is where i am going to end for now. Faith is important. We need to learn where to put our faith. Our faith should be in God and not in man. Everything we need is in Him. Remember, where we put our faith matters. Let us put it in God who made us and who lives forever. Amen.

What is the cost of helping others?

I was reading my bible the other day when i came across a scripture. It’s not the first time i have read it, in fact it is one of my favourite scriptures. That scripture really ministered to me personally. It resonated deep within me. There is nothing better than scripture speaking to you. I am not talking about just reading your bible. What i am talking about is getting a “rhema” word. The word that speaks to your heart at the appropriate time. At a time when you need it. It feels like God is speaking to you directly. That word.
The scripture i am speaking to you about is in Psalms 54:4 and it says: Behold, God is my Helper and Ally; the Lord is my Upholder and is with them who uphold my life.

What a scripture right?! But on this day, i had come across this scripture and saw something i never saw before. I could not believe that i hadn’t seen it before but here it was jumping out at me. This is what i seen, “the Lord is my Upholder and is with them who uphold my life”.
The Lord is the One who holds me up but He also upholds them who uphold us. This last statement blew me away. God is also watching over those people that bless me and care for my well being. People who take the time to speak into my life and help me when i need help. He upholds those people as well.
So a question came to mind as i was reading that scripture. Are you upholding others? Do you place value on building other people because I do! God places value on upholding people.
This is what hit me about this scripture. I realised how i love recieving gifts. I take pride in gifts people have given me. But it shouldn’t stop there. God wants us to be a blessing. He wants to bless us but He wants us to desire being people who bless other people as well.

In Acts 20:35 we read: It is more blessed (makes one happier and more to be envied) to give than to recieve.
It is more blessed to give than to recieve. This is a value we need to learn to adapt more and more. I live in Africa, a land of boundless wealth which has not being tapped into because we have this “feed me” mentality! Like my Pastor asked, as a nation who have we given to? It’s always give, give and not “how can we bless other nations”!!! But we are going to get there someday. We are the people who are going to change that.

I have seen how i had adopted this same mentality. But that is changed now. God will uphold me as i uphold other people especially of the household of faith! If i concern myself with helping other people God is sure to help me. But a word of warning, don’t do this because you can get something. God can see your heart. Are you being motivated by love or a selfish ambition to be blessed? It has to be by love that we uphold other people. We need faith as well.

Where are you concerning helping other people? Remember, it’s more blessed to give than to recieve. God will uphold you when you uphold someone else. Have that as a value because God values helping people. Have a vision when it comes to blessing people. Make it big because as you do God will uphold you. Amen.

What is the purpose of trials and crisis in our lives?

Are you in a crisis right now? Does it seem like there is no way out? Does your situation seem bleak and dark. Well i got news for you. It might be hard to accept but it’s true. The storms that we face are a part of life. We can’t do without them. We need them. If we are to ever experience real growth we will need the storms. It sounds crazy but it’s true.
Look at what James 1:2 says:
Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations.
Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience.
But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.

Trials develop you. They build you up. We really need to change the way we see storms. The way we see them will determine our attitude in the midst of the storm.

Another purpose of storms is to lean on God. We don’t have enough strength to overcome the storms that come our way. When the storms come we need to learn to look to God. It’s in the storms that we get to know God more intimately. It’s where we hear His voice so clearly. God wants us to know Him more. Look at these scriptures:
For i will not trust in and lean on my bow, neither shall my sword save me. Ps 44:5,6
For He has delivered me out of every trouble, and my eye has looked [in triumph] on my enemies. Ps 54:7

Notice in both these scriptures that there is no mention of our strength but God’s. In fact, we see the writer disowning his own strength – “for i will not trust in and lean on my bow, neither shall my sword save me” Ps 44:5,6.
We are not equipped to take care of storms by ourselves. We need the Lord’s help.

I believe that a storm is either coming your way or you in one right now or you have just come out of one. That is the cycle.
Look at natural storms. Does winter last forever? No! No matter how bad a storm is it will always finish. Storms might seem never ending but they must come to an end. That is their nature. So it is with the spiritual storms we face. They are for a season. They will not last forever. No matter how hopeless your situation is, know that it will end.
So the question is not if the storm will end but how long can you hold on during the storm?

What should be our attitude during the storms we face? The bible gives us a very clear idea of what our attitude should be. Let us look at Proverbs 15:32 –
The wicked is overthrown through his wrongdoing and calamity, but the [consistently] righteous has hope and confidence even in death.

We are going to focus on the last part of that scripture which says: “but the [consistently] righteous has hope and confidence even in death”.
What does that mean? God gave me a revelation of this passage when i was in a storm seeking His help.
This verse is saying that as Christians we should have hope and confidence in the midst of the storms we face. It even describes the type of storm. Even in death! Not only does the righteous person have hope in death but has confidence. Where does the confidence come from? It comes from the belief that even in death we believe that God will make a way. He will not let us down even in death. Even when our storms seem like they will destroy us we look to God and have confidence that He will come through!
That is the attitude we should have when storms come our way.
Remember that storms will always come, that is a fact. But God will always be there with us during the storms of life and that is a fact! God bless.

Stuttering- Triggers.

In my previous post i was discussing what i think the cure for stuttering is. I really believe that the cure is confidence. The more confident you become the less you stutter. But it is possible to be confident but still stutter. How does that happen?
This is the question that i will be dealing with in this post.
There is an answer to that question. Let me use myself as an example. I had been applying the steps i have been sharing with you, like changing how i see myself, getting rid of the labels people put on me, being a man of conviction and others. I was really seeing change. I was really excited. But as months went on i still stuttered. It was confusing not to mention frustrating. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know what was going on.

But then i saw it. One day i saw a pattern. There were times where i was confident and other times when i was not. Those times i was not were almost the same all the time. I could see the pattern clearly. The times i stuttered the most was when i was talking to people who had authority. God showed me that the abuse from my dad is what caused me to stutter. My dad was the authority head in the family and as a young boy i became scared of him which caused me to stutter. Fast forward a few years and i saw how i was scared of people in authority. I had no confidence in front of teachers, coaches, and bosses. I never knew how to relate to them. I could not communicate with them especially if that authority head was harsh. That was just the worst.
So picture this: I am at school and i am afraid of people in authority which in this case is my teacher and headmaster and prefect. My teacher asks me to read something which i stutter through. The teacher doesn’t understand stuttering so he ridicules me which encourages the students to also make fun of me. That is how i can describe a large chunk of what school was like for me.
But that all started because of what i experienced at home. That was a trigger and it had to dealt with.
What are your triggers? What are the things that cause you to stutter? You need to deal with them and get over them. If you are confident but you stutter then you have a trigger or triggers. It is possible to have more than one. I had two main triggers. If you need help please don’t hesitate to ask me. I will help where i can. The important thing is to confront it face on. That’s what i did. I will be writing about different ways you can do that. Some of the steps that i have written can help you. You are not alone in this.

The other trigger for me was reading. I would stutter whenever i would read. And that was because of what happened at school. People made fun of me when i would read. So when i started working i would avoid reading in public like a plague. If i did read i would stutter which solidified even more why i should not read. No one laughed straight to my face but i would think they were laughing. I was highly critical of everyone i met. In the back of my mind i would think they were all laughing at me. It was bad. And that also had to be dealt with. I am much better now. Those triggers are gone but i have work at keeping them that way. Do i fall at times, yes! There are times when i don’t apply what i have learnt. But those times are rare and getting more rare by the day.

The triggers in your life can be abolished. But it takes time and support. You can’t do this by yourself. Ask God to show you what the triggers are in your life. That is what He did for me. I had no one to help me. But God was there. And He can do the same for you. I am also here to help you.
All you have to do is ask.
I hope this post helped. If you have any questions just ask me. If you need help i will do the best that i can. If you have anything to contribute please feel free to post it. That ends my post on triggers and i look forward to hearing from you.

Stuttering- What can cure it?

I have been giving a few suggestions on what will help you stop stuttering. These suggestions are not things i made up but are things that i have tried and have seen work. I don’t stutter anymore. When i do it’s rare. I still use these principles that i am teaching you. As you now know, i believe stuttering can be stopped. I seen it in my life. And that is why i am here. When i stuttered in the past there was no one to help me. I was made fun of by people who didn’t understand. But i want to change that. I want you to know that you are not alone in this. There are people who understand what you going through. There is a way.

I have also realised that i have not told you what i believe the cure is. I have been giving you suggestions on how you can stop but i have never actually told you what the cure is. So in this post i will be addressing that.
I was physically abused as a child. That had an affect on my speech. I have been a stutterer as long as i can remember. And it wasn’t easy. By the end of it all i had no self-esteem. My confidence had been destroyed, totally! But God intervened and helped me. If it wasn’t for His help i don’t know where i would be today.

Down the years i realised how there was a direct correlation between my self-esteem and my improvement! The more confident i became in who i was the less i stuttered. My confidence grew and grew until i stopped stuttering completely! I couldn’t believe it. And that is what i believe the cure is- having confidence and a high self-esteem.
It’s having a confidence in who you are and having a confidence in who God says you are. Do you know who you are in God? Do you know what He says about you? These are all important questions that need to be answered. There is a story in the word that backs up what i am saying. That story is in Exodus and it’s about Moses. It’s believed that he stuttered. (Exo 4:10)

God then sends him his brother Aaron to speak on his behalf because Moses can’t see fluency. All he sees is his speech impendment. Maybe he had been ridiculed by his friends. Maybe he had been told what a wierdo he was because of the way he spoke. Maybe he had tore himself down so much because of it. But whatever the reason, it made him just see stuttering. Even when God assured him He would be with him he still said no.
(And the Lord said to him, Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the dumb, or the deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? Is it not I, the Lord?
Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and will teach you what you shall say.
And he said, Oh, my Lord, i pray You, send by the hand of [some other] whom You will [send].
Then the anger of the Lord blazed against Moses; He said, Is there not Aaron your brother, the Levite? I know he can speak well. Also, he is coming out to meet you, and when he sees you, he will be overjoyed. Exo 4:11-14)

Is that the way you see as well? Do you just see stuttering? People may be telling you how much potential you have and the things you going to do but all you see is stuttering! That needs to change.
Anyway let’s move on. Aaron is now speaking on behalf of his brother Moses. Moses tells him what to say and Aaron then speaks. That was the arrangement.
But then we see a change. In exodus 8:9 we see Moses speaking to Pharoah! We also see a change in the way things are supposed to be.
In Exodus 7:19 it reads; And the Lord said to Moses, say to Aaron, Take your rod and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt,
This is the way things are supposed to be, this is the arrangement. Nothing wrong with that right. But the change comes one verse later.
In Exodus 8:1 it reads; Then the Lord said to Moses, Go to Pharoah and say to him, Thus says the Lord, Let My people go, that they may serve Me.
Did you see that? God tells Moses to talk to Pharoah instead of telling Aaron to go and speak. Then later on in the chapter we read:
Moses said to Pharoah, Glory over me in this; dictate when I shall pray [to the Lord] for you, your servants, and your people, that the frogs may be destroyed from you and your houses and remain only in the river. Exodus 8:9

Moses is now speaking to Pharoah directly! What has changed? I believe Moses came to a realisation that God was true to His word. I believe Moses was confident because he finally believed what God said about him.
I believe our confidence comes from knowing who we are in God. Can you apply this if don’t know Christ? I don’t know the answer to that question. The steps i write about can be used by anyone i guess. They are very practical steps anyone can use. So if you don’t believe in God and you struggle with stuttering, you can still use the steps. But my desire is that you come to know God. He is the Saviour of the world. He is the One that saved me. Without Him i would not be where i am today. And i want you to know that He does care about you. You just have to invite Him into your life.

So that is what i believe about stuttering. Confidence is the answer. It is the cure, or can i say it helps in the process of being cured. One thing i don’t want you to be is narrow minded when it comes to the cure. This is what has worked for me. Something else may have worked for someone else. It’s just a matter of time before you find out other ways. I know for a fact that there are people who have stopped stuttering. You just have to find them out. For now i encourage you to apply the principles i am still going to teach you. Use the ways i talk about. They will make a difference in your life. Remember and never forget that stuttering is not for life.
